  1. What are your symptoms BlueXJ? Lobes flattened? I've had the Hesco RVOB cam in for about seven years now with no problems. It's always had Chevron Delo 400 diesel motor oil with the added zinc content.
  2. I've seen some street Comanches with the stainless Stull grills.
  3. Where did you get that ambient temp display at??? I would like 1 like that in my 91. Click HERE.

  5. Like any engine, it will only be as reliable as the rebuilder makes it. There are good ones and not so good ones, and generally you get what you pay for. Suggest you go HERE and start reading. Start with Stroker Basics.
  6. The thing I'm curious about is why did it happen again?
  7. This has been an interesting thread. I have an Actron 9145 scanner I've had for years that I use for my OBD2 vehicles. From this thread, I've learned that I can purchase an Actron CP9129 Chrysler adapter cable like the below (~$25) and my Actron 9145 OBD2 scanner can read my 91 MJ OBD1 fault codes by plugging it into the test port near the ECU. I never knew this. But what I don't know is how much good it will do me. Does it do more than just "read" the codes? I can already do that with the IGN key trick. Any benefits besides saving wear and tear on my ignition switch?
  8. DRB-3?
  9. There's no connector for OBD1, only for OBD2 which started with the 1996 models. This is how you check for fault codes with a 91 or 92 MJ, no meter required: http://comancheclub.com/topic/28111-reading-obdi-91-and-92-mj-fault-codes/
  10. Most all of the various clocks used throughout the years have empty space in them. The only ones I seen full are the Sentinel modules, an option on the XJ Waggys. I used the space in mine to put in an ambient temp display HERE.
  11. I'm not sure what you are asking, but the nylon speedo gears are all the same (except tooth count of course) and the long and short shafts are interchangeable by pressing one shaft out and the other in.
  12. Was wondering the same. He hasn't been on here since Oct 2011.......
  13. Welcome. Love the Commando.
  14. Ever consider using a 91-95 XJ/MJ Power Distribution Center (PDC)?
  15. Nah. That's OBD2.
  16. Oh, but it's so true. I had 13 Comanches as demos at the dealership. All brand new. Ordered them myself. 4 cylinder with manual trans, 4.0 with manual trans. 4.0 with auto trans. all up through October of 1992. True stuff. Highly Overrated. Everyone who worked in a Jeep dealership loved the antiquated and troublesome Renix models because they kept the doors open a bit longer from all the extra income generated by their service departments. Whoopie doo. 474.
  17. I guess I'll cut and paste too, just change the number of times you have posted that non-fact.
  18. Maybe this one would be an exception. He used to be a member here...........
  19. Yep. Cruiser loves gangsta wheels.
  20. JK mirrors too. She's beautiful.
  21. ...............driving this thing around. or this:
  22. Most likely the body shop pulled the parking light assemblies when painting. Check for wiring damage around the bulb socket and the bulb itself.
  23. I installed the Trucklites on my JK a few months ago. They are as advertised and I love them. The factory JK headlamps I thought were actually worse than my original stock MJ headlamps. You would think Chrysler could have fixed that in 21 years. :shake: Northridge 4x4 had a special for the two 7" round lamps and the Pulse Width Modulation adapter harnesses awhile back and I grabbed them. Now I'm going to replace the Hella e-codes and harness with the Trucklites too.
