  1. Better said: Garbage into a RENIX junction box equals garbage out since it's not a computer.
  2. If you are referring to the 91 model in your signature you don't have a speedo cable - it's electronic. Sometimes a cracked exhaust manifold can sound like a ticking noise and it varies with engine RPM.
  3. ^^ This. I used to use their Gatorback belts, but they don't compare to the Gates belts now. Even their blimp sucks.
  4. Wrong. Seven piece used until 1990; 91 and up had the three piece.
  5. They are the factory tire that's put on the low-end JKs, not all JKs. You will be lucky to get 30K out of them while you're slippin' and slidin' around.
  6. Why don't you post some pics up of the 92 MJ for an eval? The 92s are the most valuable of all. What's your location? The pics and vid of the Kodiac while mildly interesting have nothing to do with your post title.
  7. Just wanted to mention how great this simple tool is. It easily pulls the boots off spark plugs with zero damage and reaches way down into the spark plug cavity to grab under the boot. I've been using those useless pliers for years that slip and slide and sometimes damage the boots. Never again. This thing works as advertised - well worth the few $$ it costs. 8. Very cool. I love old stuff like that. Also love American Pickers on TV.
  9. Where did you find it?
  10. Definitely an 86 MJ VIN then, and in looking how the brake lines are configured and bent, your D44 sure looks original and factory as can be. Especially with the MT badging you said was present. Another case maybe of never say never when it comes to MJs. I'm convinced it's original based on your pics. Maybe a late build date for your rig? BTW, the arm of your brake load sensing valve is wrong - should be configured like this, roughly parallel to the axle:
  11. That's a 44 alright. What is the 10th character of your VIN number?
  12. Clogged passage(s) in the idle circuit, maybe the jet itself. I'd tear it down to parade rest and throw a kit in it since it's been sitting so long.
  13. 33s w. 4.56 gears vs. 33s w. 4.10 gears will only cost you about ~200 RPM.
  14. 86 models never came from the factory with a D44. All HD axles were AMC-20's with either a 3.31, 3.54/3.55, or 4.11 ratio.
  15. Looks great - well optioned - you done good.
  16. That's cool. Cheap too. Just cut of the connector and wire it to any device that reverses polarity and goes up / down, left / right, etc. and control it remotely from 50' away.
  17. That wire, the dash relay coil trigger wire for fog and/or driving lamps, is present on all MJs even if they were not optioned out for them. Makes good sense to use it instead of adding more wiring from the dash through the firewall when adding accessory lamps since it's already there.
  18. No way this has been an Alabama truck it's whole life. Unless it was parked at Gulf Shores at low tide when Katrina came in. Sure would like to see a VIN check on this thing............
  19. OUT - ALWAYS. Unless you're embarrassed because you bought cheap-azz no-name square tires. Like Wranglers.
  20. I think the metal headlamp bezels you saw are for an FSJ Cherokee.
  21. Okay - I'll change my response above to: ......will not work on the 90 and below w/o using a bit of ingenuity.
  22. Harbaugh (aka Psycho Jim) was a proven coach for the 49ers but his ongoing antics alienated both the players and management. They wanted him gone no matter what the record was for the good of the team. Claiming his love for his alma mater, he duped Michigan into a huge contract because they remember him as he was, not the tin God as he now thinks he is. How easy they forget. I don't expect much out of Michigan while he's there and I don't expect him to last too long either. His best days are behind him. His brother John is twice the coach Psycho Jim is IMO.
