  1. The 97 and up has much larger CCV tubing than the early HOs and Renix systems. I swapped everything out with the 97 stuff on my pre-stroker engine and it cured the blow-by I had completely because it breathes better. Would be great for the Renix cover if possible. Would think you would have to change the valve cover though.... How-to HERE
  2. My USAF daughter arrived home safe and sound from sandpile deployment yesterday. We were all happy, including her dogs. She did great, and has been selected for instructor duty at Tinker AFB OK to train newbie officers how to take out the bad guys. Promotion too. Sorry, just had to brag a little.
  3. ^^^ Si. If you have had her for 22 years, there's no other answer.
  4. If you go see it again Mike, grab the glove box door if it's in good shape. Going for the Grey 'N' Black look? Why not chrome? :D Chrome is normally for the exterior, but when used tastefully, works well inside too. :brows:
  5. If you go see it again Mike, grab the glove box door if it's in good shape.
  6. You should see the meter at 0V when first started then the voltage go up slowly as the O2 sensor starts passing traffic if the meter is monitoring the sensor output. I have no idea how it's wired in..........
  7. It should be switching fairly rapidly from about 1.1 to 4.9 if the O2 sensor is any good. The DC meter movement can't switch that fast, so it's averaging the pulsing AC sine wave output. The only way you can see the switching is with an A/F meter or synced to an oscilloscope or spectrum analyzer. OP, can you see the voltage change when transitioning from open to closed loop?

  9. For the gasket all you need is the Fel-pro VS50522T. If you are referring to the rubber "donuts" on the top of the cover, someone else will have to respond - I just know the HO type donuts.
  10. WHICH VALVE COVER ARE YOU USING?? THE STOCK ALUMINUM ONE? IF SO, NO METAL WASHERS/GROMMETS ARE USED WITH THE GASKET. THE METAL WASHERS ARE USED FOR THE STAMPED STEEL 96 AND UP COVERS. USE THE BLUE FEL-PRO GASKET. http://comancheclub.com/topic/21984-valve-cover-gasket/?hl=fel-pro&do=findComment&comment=230859
  11. Ventshade made them, but they are copies - had both. Not that it's a big deal, but the Ventshade metal gauge is thinner and the clips are not the same nor do they hold as well. But either will work, and the Mopars are unobtainum now, so there's not much choice anymore...........
  12. Excellent.
  13. You have to go down deep and dirty in the column to change it out. You need the spring plate tool, and the lock cylinder and multifunction switch has to come out too. Getting it out isn't bad, it's the reinstall that's a bear. At least for me it was. I'm no Saginaw column expert and I had a hard time. Like anything else, if you know columns it's probably a piece of cake. I'm not ashamed to admit that I don't. But I do love the intermittent wipers.
  14. The intermittent wiper switch w/o tilt you need is p/n 56000032. Since it's a bear to change out and a used one will probably be broken or close, I'd recommend sucking it up and getting a new switch. I got mine on the link below for about $45, but the link is now down for maintenance. Try later. http://thejeep.com/shop/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=xj+wiper+switch There's one here for $52.95, so try a search: http://www.cj-jeep.com/wrangler/wranglerwindshieldparts.htm
  15. 1. It's an XJ power antenna. When retracted it inside the fender. 2. One wiper because the right wiper arm hits on the cowl hood when opening. So I just usually leave it off unless I'm in a typhoon or something. 3. It was a Mopar accessory item - hard to find now.
  16. Maybe it's me but the 97 and up mirrors just don't look right on an MJ; they are too rounded. I like my stock chrome power mirrors.
  17. Me either, but I wasn't around much when it was on. But I do vaguely remember the unknown comic with the bag on his head.
  18. This is a nice truck, but priced too high of course. I don't know why people in this state think all their junk is gold plated. :hmm:
  19. Nice writeup. Lot's of ways to do this, and it should be done. The closer to the firewall you can move it, the less chance you have developing vacuum leaks as it cuts out a lot of the vacuum line. The check valve should be placed as close to the relocated cannister inlet as possible, and the large OEM "football" cannister is completely unnecessary. I did mine like this
