  1. Hey Pete - you suck. There - someone generated it. happy now? I searched HARD for years and years for an MJ AMC-20 rear so I could junk my POS c-clip D35 - couldn't find. I had to settle for an MJ D44 finally, but I still want an AMC-20 just because of it's uniqueness. And I'm still looking...
  2. Good to hear this Jeff - I had a head unit on one of my garage doors die about a week ago. It's well over twenty years old, chain drive, and the problem is the head unit. Something smoked in the motherboard; can't program it anymore and it's unable to receive and process a signal from a remote. I'm just going to replace the head unit with a more modern one from Lowes and keep the chain drive - not worried about it being noisy.
  3. Will they still travel if some horrible fluke occurred and Bama doesn't make it to the big show? What would be the point of going?
  4. Thanks to Gjeep for finding these VW e-brake cable retaining clips; they work perfectly. https://www.eeuroparts.com/Parts/81604/Parking-Brake-Retaining-Clip-1H0609747/
  5. Far as I recall back when I got mine years ago the only differences in the Teraflex backing plates was the axle flange bolt pattern, i.e. the first one was for my c-clip D35 and then I got the "older Jeep" bolt pattern for my D44. Both kits used the same calipers and pads.
  6. Garage too.
  7. I had mine made by a guy on the strokers forum years ago. He machined them out of a solid piece of aluminum. Unfortunately he doesn't make them anymore.
  8. I'd like to point that jet dryer nozzle straight out the back and take it to the drag strip.
  9. #headslap. Never would have thought of that. I must have lucked out with the Wagner cables I bought. Glad you found it.
  10. Most 31's are actually around ~30-1/2" tall and ~10.5" wide. Your existing P235/75R15 tires are 28.9" tall and 9.3" width. So 31's will be fine.
  11. Man, those flares and wheel wells look nice.
  12. That's pretty cool. Wonder what they did with the gas tank filler tube?
  13. Wow, even the cheap seats are expensive.
  14. Don't understand why you needed such a long O2 cable. The header bung I guess?
  15. Did the ZJ O2 sensor work okay?
  16. Picking Ohio State for the Bama opponent in the national championship game was just a hope, because I hate State and would love to see them annihilated. Only because of the azzrag coaches they have had throughout the years, from the original fool Woody to the current fool, Urban. But most likely I'm thinking Notre Dame will get in; Bama and the Irish would be a hell of a game..
  17. Thus the necessity of the 20+ beers. Gotta keep the balance of poisons stabilized.
  18. Aye matey, it has been a good day. Not because the Tide crushed Auburn (fully expected, they were still pissed off from last year and wanted revenge), but the Arby's Beer Can Chicken Sandwich. I looked it up: Ingredients: "Beer Can Chicken sandwich features beer-marinated smoked chicken with melted cheddar cheese, crispy onions, pepper bacon, lettuce, tomato and garlic aioli on a toasted specialty roll." Can you imagine sucking 20+ ice cold High Lifes and inhaling one or two of the above while watching Bama kick Ohio State's azz in the national championship? Life is good if that happens....
  19. Makes the throttle response a bit more sensitive and touchy. That's about it....
  20. Lot's of misinformation here. You will not get any noticeable performance gains with aftermarket ignition components on a stock HO 4.0 engine, i.e. coils, ignition wires, dizzy cap, etc. etc. I went through many versions of "high performance" ignition parts during several dyno runs on my stroker and they did nothing for "performance" gains. The butt dyno reports above don't count, it's just wishful thinking. Meaningful Jeep 4.0 HO engine performance gains come only from increased displacement, free flow headers, bored throttle bodies, i.e. suck and blow improvements, not ignition. A quality cap with brass terminals, good quality copper plug wires, and a Mopar factory coil is the best you can do on a stock engine. The Mopar HO factory ignition system is well designed and replacing it with aftermarket garbage is a waste on $$. EDIT: And yeah - as Pete says, if you want butt dyno performance gains on your stock engine, regear.
  21. The filter metal exterior and paintwork looks pretty clean for 270K..
  22. What was his top speed? 30 MPH @ 5000RPM.
  23. Exactly. And while you're in there check the condition of the R & P, check to see if it's Posi or not, etc. Good to know info.
  24. Bummer. Nothing beats a hand's on inspection with a magnet if it can be done. I enjoyed your vid. It was probably the longest video I ever watched, mainly because I get bored in the first couple of minutes and kill them. Your video held my interest all the way through. Nice job.
  25. How long have they been trying to sell that thing? A year or so?
