  1. Havent really heard of them, they look interesting. And they spelled comanche wrong.
  2. Id say that it is a vaccum leak for it idling high. There are many hoses that could have come undone. As for the power loss, I don't know. If you need some 4cyl things to go off of and look at, mine might be the same (I have an engine out of an 87 or 88) Just tell me, I'm sure I can find (Or Someone else) some pics you can go off of. My trucks the same as yours (Except yours is shinier)
  3. Thanks, loving the way that Eliminator of yours turned out. That thing is an inspiration. Ill get pics up soon of the new valve cover. (Its too freaking cold to do it right now)
  4. When you sit for awhile looking at an engine you say, " Can I put that on mine?" So hear I wondering if injectors from a Vortec 4.3 will fit a 2.5 (Or if there are other injector options) Thanks for the info in advance.
  5. Pacers......... :shake: So ugly in my opinion. Gremlins are where its at! I do like Bricklin's, almost got one a guy was selling cheap and it had the stock running AMC 304!
  6. Yeah you have to extend the frame some. Id probably just pay Chrysler to do it (Unless the price to do it is through the roof)
  7. Yes sir, that is the one from my understandings you can pay extra and the factory will do it.
  8. They have the Jeep JK 8, It was an option from the factory if I'm correct. Read about it and they said it was an extra $6,000 from the manufacturer. The brute is an aftermarket kit. Either way I love both the 2 door and 4 door (But the 2-door looks better) It won't let me put the Image up for some reason. But search up the Jeep JK 8 Independence.
  9. The spedo is electronic driven, not cable driven. The firewall should be the same. The only year that I know they had different was 86.
  10. ZJ and WJ? What would some of those be? gonna be going to the JY soon and thought I might look. Ford Explorer 96 and up work well. Pretty much bolt in if the axle flange matches up (think it will on your application), and purchasing or fabbing a pair of axle seal preload spacers. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=967146 Do they stock have 4;10 gears? or do they have to be swapped in?
  11. What would some of those be? gonna be going to the JY soon and thought I might look.
  12. Wow sure has been a longtime since a update........ And I still haven't got a lot done. But Its coming along better now. I have gotten a lot of comanche parts stashed that I have got (and still more to come) here is what I have done lately: Got an aluminum valve cover for $7 Been working on it I love my small blaster works really good. Had to replace some bolts in the valve cover, cut down some screws. And the finished product Took it to the parts store to get a brass fitting for the front and the guy thought it was stock painted! (Guess thats a good job) The bad part is there is a vacuum leak. I think it is from the brass fitting inlet being too large. Also got a sending unit from a 91 2.5 sport truck And remember the valve cover bolt I broke??? Got it out, I was so happy. A little hard to see, but that was the broken bolt. No more leaky valve cover!!!! Thats kinda all ive done for right now. I might be getting my tires swapped over to my Ravine rims Saturday at Automotive. I have to help with the Boy scouts getting their badges in auto tech, and might be able to swap them then. Ive been working on the Javelin and Comanche at the same time, not the easiest thing........ Ill be going back to the yard this week. really wish I had more money. Could get a shortbed with practically no rust for about $200. And there are so many Cherokees. Ill have more soon, ill keep you guys posted.
  13. Ill have to look into that. Would the disk brakes be able to be modified to fit a D35 maybe?
  14. My friend is parting a 99 blazer. He said I can get the rear axle from it. Would it be a good swap for a 4x4 swap? I want it because it has disk brakes. Anyone ever swapped one in? Thanks in advance.
  15. So you dedicating your time to this one now? Or doing Moe and this one at the same time?? Either way they are awesome.
  16. don't forget about a sending unit, just picked an extra up the other day.
  17. You sir really like showing off that roll pan don't you??? (If I had one that looked that good, i wouldnt blame you!)
  18. Looks like the stock Emreld Green on GM vehicles. I like it though.
  19. You can buy a header for a 2.5 on Summit Racing
  20. The little brass fitting on the side on the front??
  21. Does any one know where I can get the fitting on the front PCV? The one for this: Or if you can make your own? Thanks In advance.
  22. I like the Comanche, too bad you are in TN, there is a short bed comanche that is in the junkyard. They would sell the bed for like $150 .
  23. There is a comanche with a 2.5 around here and I was going to get the head off of it. Is there any special tools you have to have to take it off?? Hard to get off? Thanks in advance.
  24. The funny part is, i went over to look at my friends mustang, and his throttle is set up almost the exact same set up as the shift linkage you made. :laughin:
  25. Wow, that is a simple way. Can you get all that stuff cheap from the hardware store??
