    WTB: 88-92 MJ

Lookin for a 88-92 MJ. Prefer an automatic, 4wd (will consider 2wd), & running. The bed length doesn't matter, nor does the color. This is gonna be a project. Trying to keep it as cheap as possiable. Thanks Prefer it to be in NC, SC, lower Virginia, or east Tennessee
  3. Wow!!! $3800 for an MJ that isn't a 91-92 with the HO. That is a bit pricey. Don't get me wrong but for $3800 it should not have any rust and should have a bit more done to it. Shane
  4. Replace the plastic pressurised coolant jug and lid with an aluminum one if you do not have the money to switch to 97+ cooling system.
  5. I have an 89 MjJ and I am lookin to do some upgrades to the exterior (ie. side mirrors and front clip). Is it possiable to interchange side mirrors on an 89 to the mirrors on a 97+ with out changing the doors. Thanks, Shane
  6. Yeah, That is a real slick looking build. I look to to the front end swap on mine. It is too bad they didnt make the MJ in 99 so we didnt have to do all this work. Again nice ride.
  7. nice wheel swap. Keep us posted.
  8. Hey man that is a nice job with the front end and doors. I have yet to see one that had both of those upgrades. Very nic work. Keep us posted.
  9. As I stated in many of my other post I am not a mechanic & most of the stuff I know I learned here. With that said I have a 89 MJ auto. 4x4 that I bought a skyjacker 3.5 inch lift for, but it did not send the U Bolts I believe and the directions said I need to know what type of rearend is under there. Any help is appreciated
  10. I have had good experience with BFG's. My advice would be to upgrade to the BFG AT's. I have worn several sets way down and have never had any probs.
  11. :agree:
  12. I got a skyjacker lift kit 3.5 inches. I need to know the reAR and the front axle. Iguess Thanks shanered
  13. Hi Welcome to the club. This is the best place for MJ owners to be.
  14. Nice MJ. Keep it up
  15. Yeah I agree. Spencer is a very good guy and stands behind his work. I got my tailgate sticker from him along with an "only in a mj" sticker with the 8 slot grille. Also I wanted a 4 Wheel Drive sticker like used to be on the old Willys trucks and he sent me 2 of 2 different sizes, because I was not sure which one I wanted. Spencer is a stand up guy.
  16. :agree: I agree, back last year when I was looking for and bought my comanche; I joined this group because it was a Comanche forum. I personally like other model jeeps, but I would not want to have to go through alot of Liberty stuff just to see a MJ. Some things are ment to be seperate. Post what you want in the pub is all cool, but leave the rest to MJs. Everybody that has a Jeep likes to see another model from time to time. Hey they can start up a Commander Club or a Jeep Patriot Club
  17. That has got to be the funniest and most truthful thing that I have read in a while :clapping:
  18. Well I am in the under 30 club
  19. I am not sure where you are located, but there is an Auto Fair twice a year in Charlotte NC. I think they are in May and October. If you have pullapart junkyard around you, they might have one. I would really think about switching to buckets. It is a comfortable investment. I would do it in mine, but I have a 15 month old, so there goes that idea for a while. Good luck
  20. First Welcome to the club. Don't worry, I have read alot of books about Jeeps (especially the parts on XJ's & MJ's) and I am still trying to figure it out. The best advice that I can give you is if you need to know something or run into a problem, the people on here know what they are talking about. If they don't know, then they have a way of finding the correct info. There is alot of knowledge on this forum. -Shane
  21. Good decision on keeping the cj. I am sure you will like your decision. You can find some mjs out there and build from the ground up the way you like it instead of having to tear down someone elses and start over.
  22. Sounds like a good "to do" list. I bet it will be nice. Whats is an np-205? :huh???: _Shane
  23. Man that was awesome. It almost make you want to buy a subaru. _Shane
  24. I live inside the city limits in NC and our rule is if the birds can use it it is ok. LOL I don't know if it is that lenient but I have a Mustang that hasn't moved in over a year. They must now care a whole lot here. Shane
