I have some pics of my 89 MJ on my dads computer. He lives a little ways away, so he emailed me the picks how do I post these pics? Thanks again

I have only had my MJ for 2 months. I' ve had it painted. The previous owner said that the a/c works, but it blows a fuse and he said it was the wiring harness. I'm definately not a electrical person. I have not treid to run the a/c. What happens when it blows a fuse? Does the a/c still work, does it cause the truck not to start or what? How hard is it to fix? Thanks

That is a pretty nice MJ. You can't beat the deal you got on it. Keep us posted

I say go with 2 or 3. Or go in beween and leave out the stroker. I have seen a Cherokee that was lowered. In my opinion lift it or leave it alone. Either way you have a nice start it looks like.

My MJ has the gauge cluster with the big gas gauge and lights for the other gauges. What all ia involved in switching them to the one with all needle gauges? Is it as simple as unpluging and pluging back in? I know that the mileage will need to be changed, but other than that is it alot to it\? thanks

Is there any ideas as to where I acn find this at? I thought maybe it was a piece similar to those on the hatch of an XJ. I know that would not work, but is it that hard plastic like that. Thaks

I have an 89 MJ and behind the seat I can see the back of the cab and it looks like something should be covering it like a plastic piece. Should there be anything there? Where can I find the piece to go there? Thanks

Replacing an 89 intake manifold with a 99??
Shane replied to Shane's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
so this doen't require any engine removal? Just the throttle body and intake? After thiswould I be able to find a cold air intake? Are the mods a big hassel. thanks -
I read in a past thread about throttle body spacers, some one mention swapping in a 99-01 intake maniflod. Could I do this to my 89 MJ? I have only had my mj for 1 month and I have found that doing upgrades on that model seem to be more difficult than a 92. Switching the manifold is it just a matter of taking on off and putting one on? Would this open a window for more improvements ie. cold air intake etc. Thanks

Why do MJ owners switch the front clip?
Shane replied to mknherhappy's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I think some people change the front clip, because it basically what might have been had the comanche not been axed like it was. Could you imagine having a '99,'00,or'01 Comanche. Now that would be awesome. That's my opinion. I might do mine someday, but I just happy to have one. -
Of course having it reupholstered or is new one is the best way to go, but if you are like me that $100 is more important somewhere else. I think outside of that, I would find one from a cherokee and just roll with it. Or maybe even find one from another pickup i.e. daktoa. I don't know if it would help, but alot of people are telling me thatsome of the parts from a dakota will fir with little mods. It may or maynot be worth a shot. Good luck bud.

So the rear flares off an xj would not work, right? No even if they were off a 2 door? Thanks
-
My 89 mj jst got painted today. I' ll soon develope my film to post some pics. Its red and I didn't want the flares painted red. I wanted them left black, however, I wasn't there through half of the painting and my dad painted them black. What would your opinion be about a red truck with the flares painted black instead just leaving them the reg color? I know the front flares for an xj will fit, but what about the rear? Or should I just leave them the painted black. Thanks

Do they make any cold air intake for an 89 mj? If not what are some performance mods that are not too extreme that will give me more hp and not kill me at the pump? My mj will not see any major trails or mud, maybe a walk through the woods nothing major. Thanks
