  1. Just wondering if anyone was running these motor mounts. The rubber let go on my passenger side, and I can't remember if you could just replace the rubber or if new mounts where needed.
  2. Swwweeeeeeeeetttttt.
  3. My grandpa worked for Union Pacific, and my dad was an architect that designed train yards and switching stations for Union Pacific. When i was a kid I remember my dad having train stuff set up in our house at that time. Not sure what is left, but I should look into it. My grandpa also has a really old larger scale train kit that is really neat and still functional. I never had any real interest in being a train engineer or anything of the such, but there is something about setting up a cool track/landscape setup that occupies a small portion in the back of my mind.
  4. This isn't a good sign. Hopefully this trend doesn't catch on. Is Rockauto dropping the whole comanche line, I suppose most can still be found under the cherokee.
  5. Played in the snow we got the other night, drifts up too 5-6'. Somehow managed to finish off my passenger side motor mount. Trucks out of order, but had fun in the process. I am glad I could see into the cowl on the back of my hood or I may not have caught it until it was too late.
  6. I live in the sticks on 30 acres, no brown snow here. If it gets deep enough I'm the guy who blades the lane, otherwise our main DDs are 4x4 jeeps and love the white stuff. My truck is actually the sketchy winter vehicle. It will go anywhere, but feels unstable on the roads when it is slick. My new locker in the rear will take alittle getting used to as well. I can't wait to ditch my BFG Mall Terrains.
  7. Jealous, supposed to snow here today and maybe tuesday. :clapping: :clapping:
  8. I will look into the superwinch. I thought about the deal to make the winch go into the receiver hitch, but in all honestly this isn't the winch for that setup either. This thing is big akward and HEAVY. I will find some use for this beauty.
  9. Define irony, I was wondering why that truck looked familiar, read though the old post he put up and by god there in the last post was me. 27 years old and the memory of a box of rocks.
  10. I like how it is set up. Everything he listed I want on my truck.
  11. I remember 20 and 30 page papers, man I don't miss that.
  12. Plus this guy has two extra beds, damn luck. This guy needs to sell me one of those beds. One day my truck will be equipped like this....only black http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jeep-MJ-Jeep-Comanche-rock-crawler-mud-toy_W0QQitemZ110464852695QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item19b837e2d7
  13. Yeah I know, I never figured I would get my hands on an 8274 that didn't need alot of work. The bumper was made by KARNAGE Offroad, the price was cheaper than what I could build it for.
  14. After a few years I finally splurged and bought a winch bumper for my truck. I was greatly enjoying my new bumper when I found out my Grandfather had a Warn Bellevue(bellview) winch that he bought as an add on to his 70's Chevy pickup. So over thanksgiving the wife and I went to Denver met up with some friends and family then went to cheyenne to pick up the winch. Drove all the way home with a HUGE smile on my face only to find out when I got home that my bumper would in no way hold this beauty of a winch. I had a hunch but figured i could make it fit.....nope. My wife said I should get rid of it, but I know it has only been used maybe twice, works great now, and is the same thing as the 8274 only originally cable operated.............However I am still looking for a more compact winch for my truck. If I would have aquired this winch first I would have built a bumper around it. The line speed alone is incredible. Sorry, had to vent.....plus there might be a winch bumper for sale in the near future.
  15. Looks great, my MJ won't make the list for awhile as it is on my sh!* list.
  16. CW you sound like a BFG rep. I have BFG A/T's in the 35x12.50 size and I am not overly impressed with them. They do ride nice down the road, but I think being wide is there downfall in my case. I am not bad mouthing at all since I expect them to perfrom like an M/T. I keep trying to convince them that they are these. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=Mud-Terrain+T%2FA+KM2&partnum=525QR5KM2RWLV2&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes
  17. I have an abused red top that has taken a beating and came back for more. It has been used for eveything from common duties in my truck, to a back up for my saltwater tank when the power went out, to being used as a trolling motor battery. One day I wil buy another one, and leave this one in the truck or retire it. I have a good understanding of how batteries work and are designed, and this one has been put through the paces.
  18. The GM rear view with the vanity lights. Then again I had no lights at all for 2 years but still a great upgrade.
  19. This a MTX thunderform truck box out of a mid 2000's Chevy silverado. It fits nicely from side to side, cuts down minimally on leg room, eliminates space behind the seats, but does located a 10" sub behind each seat. The amp is built in and the box is plastic, so it has held up well. It sounds good too. Walmart has a small sub box, that the reviews say sound good. Everyones taste is different. I temporarily removed the back trim because it rattled to much The box does slide all the way back, and the speakers are recessed so they don't hit the back of the cab.
  20. Nice lookin Tahiti. Jets are definately fun as long as you can afford to keep gas in um. What am I talkin about? I don't git crap for gas mileage outa my little 240+ hp 2.6L outboard either. I've run 20 gals through it in less than 2 hours. Whats that other boat in tha garage? From what I can tell it looks kinga like my Chaparral. It's an older Rinker Cabin Cruiser. I love the body lines on it, and it is great for windy days as the jetboat is not. We also take our dog out alot and he likes to get out of the sun in the cabin, as well as coming in handy for over night river camping. Not a speed boat, but for a big bodied rig it keeps up with most of the boats on our lake. I have a hard time buying something new, as we spend most of our time tied up with other boats and I watch them freak out over every litlle bump and wave.
  21. I have an 18 foot Tahitti Jet boat with a built Ford 460 and wide open exhaust. I don't have any pictures on this computer, but it is loud and a riot to drive edit: Found a couple on the wifes camera. This one is older, but we pulled in a stranded pontoon. Not the most fuel effecient tow vehicle.
  22. I have had similar issues with walmart/sams. Had tires mounted and balance, kids doing it were barely smart enough to breathe. Got home and I had different length valve stems on on two of my rims, plus it wasn't balanced up worth a sh!%. Took it back, had the valve stems fixed and tires rebalanced. The tires still were out of balance, so I took it to one of the more reputable shops and they got the tires balanced up first shot. The kicker is that sams has lifetime balance and rotation of your tires you buy there and I like there allegra model of goodyear passenger tires. I have changed many tires using the above methods, but now just take them in unless I am short for time or in BFE.
  23. I am sure it has been said, but new shortbed boxes. I have been looking everywhere for a rust free short bed in my neck of the woods.
