No 360 for me. I prefer my online to be free (for now) Plus I dig the Bluray. I was obsessed with halo when it came out and bought an xbox specificity for that purpose, but the new Halo game does nothing for me. MW2 rocks
  2. I would be all over that it wasn't so far away.
  3. Well I have used the acetone/ATF mix for awhile now. The first thing I noticed is that they don't like to mix very well, So I shake the sprayer good before applying. It seems to work good, I have little patience so I may not give it adequte time to work. It does seem to soak in well and move up threads good. :dunno:
  4. you ever worry that Sky Slider will leak down the road? Yes......We have a policy that covers everything to do with the slider for repairs. Also since it is the wifes DD I have no plans to do any modifications (even though I have seen some sweet lifted liberties) to it, so it will be an every couple years/mileage trade deal. I think it is hard to keep these newer vehicles like the older vehicles. Way to many limited life electronics and fluff items to fail down the road. I have a hard time buying a sunroof in a vehicle I have any inclination to keep for an extended time.
  5. Wife said I couldn't have it..but I REALLY WANT IT :fool: . Not sure what the weight of the trailer is but it came to mind. http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/1427377817.html
  6. That last picture with all the jeeps lined up in the snow is a thing of beauty. So jealous...
  7. Bought the wife an 08 "Jeep green" Liberty with the "Sky Slider", now have over 15,000 miles on it and love it. Granted it shows little heritage to the cherokee, but out the window at a quick glance I see a little cherokee, mixed with the foreign cherokee styling. There traction control system is awesome. If you come around the corner alittle fast on gravel and you start to slide, it brakes the appropriate tire and you are straight again. I have tested it in several situations (you know for the safety of my wife :brows: ) and it feels very stable. The low geared downhill brake assist is something I wish my MJ had, it is great.
  8. I have Triumph TR6 that in high school was my project/DD. I could not for the longest time figure out why my car would turn over fast, then slow and eventually the battery would be dead after a few days :wall: . Redid alot of wiring, alternator, battery, and finally gave up and assumed it was a ghost in the system somewhere. The car was notorious in high school. It was a convertible, and the deal was I would give you a ride, but you had to push start me first. I never had a shortage of friends or people willing to give me a push so it was never a real big issue. Anyway, out of a whim I had bought another TR6 that had a big block sitting in it , and the guy had a new starter that was actully for the original inline 6. I had had several other starters go out on me, so I figured what the hell new starter, put it on. Point of the long story is that the starter was my issue. Never had an electrical issue since. I probably would have never figured it out otherwise. I really do not know why the battery would run down due to the starter, but who knows :dunno:
  9. Nothing alittle Duct Tape won't fix. I had to do that mod to my cherokee as well.
  10. Well I cannot tell what the issue is for sure without pulling more of the dash/column apart to see what is binding. It looks tampered with on the inside, and with no real knowlege of how things should be I am at a loss. I got my new key installed and if i turn the key hard to the locked position and pull the key out it stays locked. A temp fix until I grab a new column to replace this one with. There was one unknown part that I found that I couldn't figure out until i had it reassmbled. When I checked the blinkers and the brights I found where my misssing part must have came from. I now doesn't click in for the brights so....back in i go  .
  11. I will be heading out here in alittle bit, but There has to be a connection between the key not turning all the way to the off position and the plastic bulging out at the same time. It will come down to fix or break worse I feel.
  12. It would appear as though this column came out of an automatic. I know what you are refering to with the side mounted button, not necessarily on jeeps but other manual vehicles. I have a new ignition switch/tumbler and key, the only thing I can see is that it appears something is pushing against the oposite side of the steering column plastic closest to the dash. I turn the key hard towards the off position and the plastic opposite the switch side pushes out.
  13. What about an aussie locker? sorry to.. :hijack:
  14. It "was" a manual with the 2.5. After a little research I believe you have stumbled on my problem. Having said that, will I need to drop the column to find this rod? I put the steering columm back together enough so I would remember the basics, and will make a fresh start on it again in the morning. edit: I just went out and checked under the dash. There is a plastic deal with wires coming out and a rod that goes up the column. I tried to pull the rod, and it seems to move but I do not think it is still allowing the key to completely go into the locked position. Like I said above I will take what ever more ideas I pick up here tonight and go out in the morning and tear into it.
  15. I would check the grounds. I was having electrical issues on my truck and it turned out to be a ground strap from the body of my truck to the engine block. Seems I forgot to reinstall it
  16. friction modifier?
  17. Ok so when I got my truck legit title and all the key wasn't needed in the tilt column the PO installed. I figured this was an ignition switch issue and dismissed it as so. Well just a few minutes ago I pulled the steering wheel and ignition switch to install my new one. When i put in the new switch and key I couldnt get the key to turn all the way to the off position for the switch to release the key. When I try to turn the key all the way to the off lock position I can see it push out on the lower section of the column plastic oposite the key side. I need to get this thing back together before I forget how it all came apart. Any quick ideas would be great. Thanks in advance. I would like to think this is something that can be fixed, not a fubared column. I am starting to see why the other key was overriddden.
  18. :agree:
  19. You will never get anywhere on this forum. :fool: And I fail to see how this pissing match is an anyway MJ Tech  Also the stock rear axle on our jeeps from the factory, in majority, is the dana 35. These axles usually do not hold up to the modifications we do to our rigs. The best option the dana 44 to keep everything an easy across swap is hard to come by. The 8.8 is a good alternative, because they are everywhere, and they have disk brakes(something jeep never put on a decent axle). If we can keep it jeep we do. Except in my case, but like you I wanted something alittle more unique, but unlike you I do not feel the overwhelming urge to criticise others because my opinions differ. Why would I go on a chevy s-10 forum tell everyone on there that I am buying an s-10 and switching everything to jeep, because chevy components suck.
  20. I actually came down with the worst sore throat and tiredness virus I have ever had (thought maybe it was the H1N1 for awhile). It had me home from work, for two days....however it couldn't have come at a better time. If I have to stay home and rest, may as well play Modern Warfare. :clapping:
  21. We always refer to online play as getting owned by 12 year olds. I held my own at modern warfare and world at war, but man some of those kids are outrageous. I would sit down in a good mood and play for awhile, then end up getting pissed and going outside and taking it out on manche.
  22. Yeah I am not sure if it is the same for the new PS3 version, I would imagine it is, and yeah I feel your pain. Did you play any of the campaign or go right to online play. Sorry until 5 I have to live vicariously through people who have played it already. And yeah the walmart in the town I work had a large stock of the games coming in so I waited till this morning, even picked up a few extra copies for my friends.
  23. I came in this morning early to go and pick up the new Modern Warfare 2 game for PS3. I have had the game since 8 and it is now only 10:30 a.m. I do not know if I have the willpower to stay here all day knowing the game is in the car waiting to go home and be played. It is going to be a long a$$ day. If you have not played the game or have not played it online you are missing out. I am not a hard core gamer but these Call of Duty games by infinity ward are visually incredible.
  24. Woops....I meant 4-dr XJ...really I did :D I'm burnt out on my MJ...so you'll have to forgive the mental lapse. I understand the feeling, my truck and I have kinda had a falling out. I'm about ready to tarp it and come back another day. Just don't have that spark we used to have lol, also It eats money.
  25. 2 door XJ doors will not fit, they are longer. Front doors from any 4 door XJ will fit. The newer doors have a different striker/ latch position that would need to be addressed. Plenty of good information about it on here.
