  1. Hmmm. Down here it's a little more spectacular. Unfortunately I can't post videos in this forum (unless I'm doing something wrong.) If you wanna see the video 'Doe be Gone', drop me a PM with an email address

    Chicks!

Good looking chicks you got there Sam. Got big quick too...what are you feeding those things?
  3. I can't say for sure, because I do very little welding, but the stock tanks are formed steel with a rolled lip welded on the outside. I believe I read somewhere the welding process changes the chemical composition of the steel therefore causing it to be more susceptible to corrosion? Or do they roll the seams on the tanks just to try and ensure less chance for leakage?
  4. Did you happen to go to the web site and see the letter the owner was sent from the State? Use the link at the bottom of the main page. Like he said, your tax dollars at work!
  5. Geez, I got you beat. My son's has been on the same full tank of gas for about 2 months now. I believe we're gettin about 1000 MPG! Of course it has only moved about 2 miles in that time :chillin:

    Starter relay

I can't copy the damn picture like the experts here can, but the distribution center is the one just forward of the blower motor by the battery. This is the text out of the FSM: STARTER RELAY REPLACEMENT The starter relay is located in the Power Distribution Center (Figs. 1 and 2). Refer to underside of Power Distribution Center cover for relay location. There ya go! [/img]
  7. TOO MUCH CHROME...BLINDED...CAN'T SEE... j/k ....looks great!
  8. Looks like a good time had by all
  9. I am suprised that they are selling it off as salvage. It looks like a repairable truck in the pics. I wonder what they get for something like that? It would be a sweet deal though...Cummins diesel 4WD chassis Looks like a cab replacement Brent...lots of hours in R/I

    Howdy

Welcome aboard ! and it's not a sin to drive a Ford, I do that myself and enjoy every minute of it!
  11. No $$#!+! I'm surprised by how many people think this is real. http://forums.audiworld.com/other/msgs/8445527.phtml Well, First off, I don't have the time to search the internet for stuff to post again elsewhere. Second, I actually thought you were gonna try that thing out, and was trying to give you kudos for trying before you crashed and burned (as we are supposed to be nice in this forum) so, I guess the joke is on me!
  12. After a short "renix lesson" that mine taught me, I have been please with mine as well. Now I just need to buy a few more parts from BLHTAZ, and it'll be even better! :D
  13. :laughin: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That's a funny post to be right after yours Jake (Akula69). I'll let him elaborate... :brows: Well, I thought about that, briefly. Problem is, it has always been a crime to utilize those databases for personal use, and I'd have to get him on a traffic stop to legally run the plate..(which probably won't happen with him there and me here...). Since 9/11 and the resulting increased security (and the squealing about additional privacies to keep the Federal Government from arbitarily checking folks out) most all police departments are now required to log all data requests and match them to an incident (like a traffic stop or complaint). It has been decreed by our department that you will lose your job if they find a request that does not have a reason to be (so to speak) and we can actually be sent to "the big house" for giving the data to non-LEO's. :thwak: Sorry! :dunno:
  14. It'll be interesting to see how it works out. Keep us updated!
  15. Nice job on the 97+ upgrade though
  16. I usually use a 3/16 drift punch to drive them out...I know thats not an exact measurement. The doors are heavy and difficult to align in the best of circumstances.
  17. Looks good, but sounds like you have a lot of cleaning to do (hair and snot?!?).
  18. Recently the A/C switch has stopped working in the 'low' and 'medium' positions. I pulled the control and substituted a known good control but the problem persists. I have been told that there is a resistor in the circuit that usually resides by the blower, or the evaporator. I cannot find this item, but have been assured it is bypassed when the fan switch is on 'high' (therefore explaining why it works at that setting). Can one of you fine gentlemen give me the location of this resistor? I am told it must be in an area of moving air or it will immendiately overheat and burn. Thanks.
  19. I had to go after the inside of mine with steel wool and kerosene to clean it up. Yours looked great compared to mine.
  20. More like EPIC FAIL
  21. Yeah X2 what he said. I'm sorry that you got any damage at all, but at least no one was hurt.
  22. I was gonna try it due to the console mod...but I realized several problem points: 1) The current pedal to adjustment plate cable is wrong length, and the XJ cable is also not correct. The last post I saw the guy talked about a cable from a Dakota that was still not right (too long) and had to looped around various things under the vehicle. 2) The adjustment plate (I call it the concentrator for lack of a better term), is mounted off center and would need to be moved as the handbrake lever does not work well unless the cable is pulling along the long axis of the vehicle. Moving it to the needed position places it directly under the drive shaft. 3) The older handbrake units use a threaded bolt from the handle back to the concentrator. There is no clearance for this in the MJ (to mount the plate in the correct position) so you would have to either weld an extension onto the bolt or use a cable (see #2). I decided to put the console in with the over handbrake cup holder in place, (which covers the slot where the handbrake would exit) and just leave the foot pedal.
  23. What he said. Mine are both attached to the rear shoe, and when I am in reverse it adjusts the pawl on the self-adjuster. However, I would manually adjust them as snug as you can through the hole in the backplate just to be sure.
  24. Shoot me a PM with your email address and I can send you the MJ parts/accessory catalog. All the decals and trims throughout the years are in it. Oooh..can I have one too please sir? :brows:
