Advertise as 90 LB 4.0L 4x4, 5 speed Had him take a photo. I don't see a line of bolts so is this the Aisin AX-15 tranny? Apparently only the throw out bearing is gone, needs work but only wants $700? :dunno: Image Not Found

Thanks just finished with the second coat took about 1-1/4 of those 4 oz cans for that 1 side, bought one of those 6 pack semi gloss black. You can re-sealed them if cleaned good. -

All I know is my truck was doing the same thing for years and was driving me nuts. Always blipping the throttle trying to make it go down, sometimes it would go down. Now if it was just intake/exhaust gasket leakage then it shouldn't change? right? Then I read about 4 ports injectors getting better gas mileage and power due to better fuel atomizations compare to our 2 ports, made sense, and since my injectors are pretty old anyways I decided to replace them, but I did it at the same time I replace the intake/exhaust gasket, but I believe it was the injectors or a maybe a combination of both? but all I know is my truck runs better than new and idles like a dream. :clapping: Image Not Found

Can you imagine they could have crush it. Customer wanted to use for Cash 4 Clunkers vehicle We just couldn't bear to crush this Jeep - it's too nice. So instead¸ we took it in on trade and now it's for sale. This is a one owner truck with only 68¸638 original miles!!!!!! If that is original paint then yeah he took really good care of it.

I envy you, get to stand where all the legendary greats did, Burt Munro, Mickey Thompson etc... "The World's fastest Indian" will be a Comanche! Great Movie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jW61Qiko4sg

Well they did give him $7878 for the trade in that's pretty good. I remember I paid $7160 back in 87 also wanted to get a 4x4 Comanche back then but there were reports of them of easily flipping over and the insurance back then was crazy for me I think it was in the $2500 a year range, so had to settle for the 2wd. :fs1:

8.8, 31 spine, disks, 3.55 gears. Whats the common cost?
87ComancheLB replied to edman2007's topic in The Pub
Just call my local pick your part 1 mile away. Dana 30 front axle wo/ disc brakes- $160 + $20 for warranty if needed. Rear Axle-$160 + $20 for warranty if needed. Transmission-$160 + $20 for warranty if needed. Transfer case-$186 + $20 for warranty if needed. Not too badly price but you do have to do all the work to remove it won't be a fun day. I tried Car-part.com in So,Calif was prices were rediculous. -
Have you thought about trading your Comanche for a new Jeep?
87ComancheLB replied to mknherhappy's topic in The Pub
I would say go for it if the MJ is in such poor shape and if you can get $10K is a no brainer! If it was in real good condition then NO! IMO. -
Well they say 4 oz can covers approximately 12 sq. feet, also get some Xylol also for diluting and removing from skin if any happens to get on you, very nasty stuff.
-
If you do decide to go with Por-15 I recommend using their marine clean and metal ready before applying you may also want to order their 6 pack unless your planning on completing all in one day. Por15 once open if any gets on the lid to can it will become as one. Also get some Xylol or Xylene for clean up if any gets on your skin this will remove it with ease good up to a few hours any longer and it won't take it off also use it to dilute por15 as it will thicken during the day. Also paint remover will remove por15 and any bed liner with ease if you ever want to remove it comes off in big rubber pieces. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/POR-15-Rust-Preventive-Paint-Black-6-pack-4-oz-cans_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem3a5149490aQQitemZ250471860490QQptZMotorsQ5fAutomotiveQ5fTools

Have you check the intake/exhaust manifold gasket possibly gone bad and now leaking causing the high idle. Try maybe spraying some carb cleaner around that area and see if you notice any changes in RPM's.

The way I look at it, the more they crush XJ's, MJ's the less will be on the market so they will become very rare and the value will increase. $9K is very tempting though. I for one will never trade. I better buy my XJ donor now if I ever want to go to 4x4 before they all disappear. -
I would use Por-15 for something like that, good for 30 years so they say that's what I'm using to do the whole underside or maybe try rust bullet. http://www.por15.com/ http://www.rustbullet.com/

Don't hate me guys, because I have no rust what so ever and everything unbolts with ease. I'm planning on bullet proofing the whole underside with por-15 while it's still in this condition so if I ever decide to sell it you will know. Light undercoating save it, only real rust was the rear bumper brackets but that was just surface rust. Wiping it down with Xylol. Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found I need to flip this bed so I can clean it better and apply por-15. Image Not Found
