  1. I’m running 30” tires (BFG MT’s) and don’t plan on any larger tires for the future. So, it sounds like I should probably just stay with the 3.55 gears.
  2. Thanks for the info Brent. So apparently I have 3.55 gears. Is there that much of a noticeable difference between what I have now and 4.10? I kinda like the drivability (road) of it now, but wouldn’t mind lower gears for the trail.
  3. Hope you have good insurance. Darren, whats up with the "Don't buy from Motion Offroad"?
  4. Nice project. Did the Safari snorkel get in the way when mounting the Bushwacker?
  5. I’m looking to upgrade my rear to a new D44 assembly. Last night when I was at the “4 Wheel Parts” store they were pushing the G2 assemblies. Has anyone else heard of these, or have had them? Looking for any feedback.
  6. Yea, I’m not a huge fan of back country snow wheeling, but am looking forward to that trail sometime in the late spring/early summer. I was just trying to get an idea how it would take. Thanks for the ranger station #.
  7. To be honest, not much. Places around here charge already for delivery, so add that to the inflated cost of a pizza and there really isn’t much incentive to tip big to the person who delivers it… The only reason I tip anything, is so that the delivery person doesn’t spit in my pizza. If you’re making minimum wage and only getting .80 every trip – I would look for another source of employment. You’re probably losing money if your not getting reimbursed (federal standards) for mileage.
  8. Good luck finding one in real good shape. I had an OEM liner in mine for nearly 20 years and it didn’t cause any damage other than a little surface rust developing under it. I sure like the Rhino liner I replaced it with.
  9. How much gas do you really need to carry? Why not upgrade to the 25 gallon tank?
  10. Didn’t do a thing, but probably should have.
  11. Cool photos. I've seen that trail on a map... How long did it take to go from Detroit Lake to Hood?
  12. I've been out shopping for a new DD and the sales people at different Jeep dealerships, are talking about a truck hitting the showroom fllors "sometime soon". Some are saying in the next year.
  13. The cable started to stick and it became increasingly harder to pop the hood, then I installed a cowl induction hood and it wouldn’t open. The installation of the cable mechanism to the new hood was identical to the original hood and I used all of the original equipment. So, I guess the cable began to fail…? It sure feels sticky when you pull on the handle.
  14. Awesome sticky, I would have never found those bolts! Ok, now what should I do? Should I lubricate the heck out of the cable and connections and hope or should I purchase a new cable and latch…?
  15. Seems to be enough of us in the NW... someone should organize a mj trail ride or something.
  16. Looks good. Are there any smaller sizes?
  17. Nice job, looks good Pete!
  18. "individual categories to reflect what the owner wants" to say sounds like a good idea to me...
  19. Looks like you made it fit. Thanks for the photo.
  20. I like the XJ console idea! What XJ year did it originally come out of? Do they differ from year to year? Looks a bit short for most CB’s…?
  21. Clever, I'm impressed! Did you think that up all by yourself? I'm not quite show quality yet, but close. :chillin: Yes, I did thanks. I must admit your truck doesn’t look all that bad. I would like to hear more about that 4.5 stroker.
  22. It's not that we don't like chrome we just think it belongs on ricers. :D no, "we" don't like chrome, unless it is on a show quality trailer queen.
  23. Purple wouldn’t look so bad if you put a layer of black on the top
  24. I’d be sure to find one that fits right. I had a company come out and replace mine and there wasn’t much of a choice. The top of the new slider rubs on my head liner and the bottom of the window is recessed past the plastic – not a good fit!
  25. I got to agree with Wade, the BFG MT has served me well for many years. Not the best road tire, but if you want something less aggressive you can step down to the BFG AT. The BFG’s are also competitively priced and you can find them easily at major retail outlets like Sears and Costco.
