  1. Simple Green all the way. :) Works great on whites in the laundry too, if you didn't know.....helps with getting the wife to purchase it for you. (if you don't believe me, try some)
  2. I'm going to apologize for my post up above. I re-read it, and it appears that I have an issue with the quality of the work and/or design. :shake: That's not my intention in any way, shape, or form. In trying to understand the ability of a product to handle the forces involved, sometimes it comes across as commenting unfavourably on someone else's work, whereas I am simply trying to understand it. My hat goes off to all of you who fab their own work, as I'm certainly not a fabricator. Definately a wanna-be, but not even close yet. It does look good. Good enough that I do want to try it myself, as I have been unable to find either a good bumper or tow points nearby. I just want to make sure I am happy with it before I go ahead, which in no way reflects on your work.
  3. Good reply. I'm not here to argue either. Everything I know about mechanical things I've taught myself, so I only ask to educate myself. Definately appreciate you posting them up here for us all and sharing your idea.
  4. Don't get me wrong.....using a clevis is the way to go. I was just worried about doing a recovery with the forces involved. I would assume the bar across and between would help to spread that out, but I'll leave that to the more mechanically inclined to explain if it is true or not. :dunce:
  5. What's wrong with getting back on said rock? :brows:
  6. Yeah, it works. Only problem is it doesn't last for more than 4 hours.. Recycle it through the a/c lines. :clapping:
  7. No tweaking of the frame at all when used for recovery? No need for a bracket like tow hooks for the mounting points?
  8. Buy it and fab a Rhino grill on there. x2 on the Cummins.
  9. I hear switching to RHD will fix that too.

    ancient games?

Let's see some posts of some ancient games you've enjoyed and forgotten about: Aztec for the Apple II and Commodore 64 Gorf
  13. With stock cap.
  14. whats dial-up? :dunno: my memory is real hazy :chillin: .... 1996 isn't that far back.....It's what you used with Trumpet Winsock, Windows 3.1, TCPMAN.EXE to connect to GOPHER and burrow through the internet and/or to retrieve files with FTP. All you youngsters who have no clue what I am talking about, take note.....this is what you sound like when you type on here the same way you text your "homies."
  15. This isn't the case here I think, but being in a rush might become a norm. Google Chrome allows several windows to be open at a time. I like it because if I am researching, having multiple windows open does not affect the speed at all. But I can search 6-8 pages at a time and let them load while I keep tossing in keywords. It takes some time to master, but it certainly speeds up research. Combine that with someone who uses MSN for three to five chats at a time, and some people need to rush off to make sure they're not missing a conversation. ;)
  16. I've always loved those. Wish I could find one up here....even though I have no "garden". :D
  17. I use just a couple of small boxes bolted to the bed. Room in front of them to stuff a recover strap, and each box has drawers for little stuff to go into. Lots of little stuff....cable ties, fuses, wire, electrical tape, strippers, etc.
  18. Congrats...new kids are great. :)
  19. lol :D
  20. Restored, eh? I think more like fully modified.
  21. What town....Rotten Monkey Horse?
  22. I spent 5 minutes with a brass brush on mine....works like a charm now.
  23. I think you just need to step away from this thread for about a week or two, instead of :typing: as soon as you see a new post. Somtimes when you're younger you need to step back to look at things later on to understand.
  24. I'm thinking that this might be a good idea for this thread. Seriously. Locked and left.
  25. Glad to hear your truck is back. :)
