  1. My dad did an excellent job teaching me how to drive a stick. :dunno: So did my mom. :dunno:
  2. You need to get your foot off the gas completely and learn where the friction point is. Once you are releasing the clutch, let it out slowly until you feel the engine start to catch - this is the firction point. Too fast past the friction point and the car will stall OR peel out. You should be able to start in first without any accelerator at all.
  3. Yes. Try not to hurt yourselves by electrocution from drooling over the keyboard: http://www.tradecarview.com/used_car/ja ... ishi/Jeep/
  4. DW - there's no mistaking it, nor the stain in your shorts. Anything less isn't DW. :D
  5. Simple question.....horizontal slats or vertical? ;)
  6. K, I'll try that unless there's another solution posted....thanks.
  7. Nothing freaking obvious....I mean it is just mechanical parts, right?
  8. LMAO. :rotf:
  9. Today the Comanche won't start....sometimes when I turn the key, the cluster, fan, lights, etc turn on.....sometimes they don't. Turn the key all the way, and everything shuts completely off. Everything. Ignition switch gone bad?
  10. So did you guys.....excellent game, decided by one goal in overtime.
  11. That's what Google is for. If you're too lazy to type in something like "nutter bypass" (12 whole letters), then you deserve to be confused. Here you go: http://tinyurl.com/yhczgtg Hope that helps.
  12. So simply get someone from your local press to ask the government what it will cost to convert THEIR vehicles.
  13. I'd jump on a GPW from WWII before I'd take a MUTT...I think that devalued it. :D
  14. So then, one would assume that the springs provide the same amount of lift (disregarding the AAL)?
  15. So how much lift will a Cherokee axle give Comanche, if swapped over and the perches are just moved over instead of relocated to the other side of the axle? It is something stupid like 9", or less?
  16. PM sent.
  17. I'll find the info for you, and send it to you. It's easier than creating a sub-forum. :)
  18. Did you delete and recreate the index?
  19. :shake:
  20. Thank you to the admin/staff team for cleaning and posting this back up.
  21. As usual, after replying twice in a tasteless manner, he edited his second reply to apologize. I took exception, publicly, with our famous member. He then apologized to me via PM, to which I responded again, publicly, that I wasn't accepting it from him because I believe it was only to try and keep himself from getting kicked out of here. I was then told to take it easy by one of the mod teams, and I responded by asking if there was some other issue going on with this member that would explain his behaviour. That's when it was nuked. My third reply was serious, not tongue-in-cheek, although the mod may have taken it that way.
  22. Rest in peace, John. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2010/02/ ... an018.html http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/nat ... le1473535/
  23. Has anyone ever reset the search function? Searchers will need to be much more specific, but it helps. Send me a pm if you need.
