I've been a member @ Pirate4x4 for years...I've yet to post a single thread or reply... I had like 50 posts here in the first 3 days when I was looking at getting my first MJ...Didn't once feel like I didn't belong... which is how I feel about Pirate and JeepsUnlimited... I've been arround the TJ Forum on JeepForum for a while, but don't check it as much as I do here any more...until I decide to spend more $$$ on it... I didn't post my TJ Flop pics over there but did here, because kind of knew the response I would get... SW2

But they make a cool whistling noise when you punch it :roll: ... I wish I hadn't tossed my original bolts for my TJ and have been too lazy to get new ones to yank the Spacer out of mine... Did Zero... added K&N FIPK, which also didn't do much other than making a sucking noise, from my engine bay and my wallet...

Maybe this should be in a sticky somewhere on the forum (or is it already)...pretty cool... I agree. Pete, Eagle? Wadda think?

Much like ESPN, I think it was better after the arrival of the Deuce, and most everyone here is really cool (except for the dude that likes to flip everyone off... you know who you are! :roll: ) I haven't been around long (December 07), but most of the guys on here feel like "family" already even though I've never personally met anyone yet. I've spent a few years on other Jeep boards and don't "feel the love" that flows over here on Pete's site... And College football in Cali is a joke (I guess I should say NorCal because USC is pretty tough every year)... My "home team" has had a couple down years, but too had a few good years in the 90's, and we hope to get back to that level again with a new coach and some patience... My home team would be the...Nebraska Cornhuskers... GO BIG RED!

I'll just be glad it's over so we can get ready for a REAL sport in Aug/September... That would be the NFL and NCAA Football seasons... the only REAL sport as far as I'm concerned...

Hey Brent... if you get a chance to talk to your Hook-up on these things, ask about Injectors for the newer Wrangler 4.0L (1999+)... I emailed him, but never got a reply... Didn't know if there was something on there that would work and he just didn't have hte descriptions correct... He has the newer (96-02) 2.5L set and 96-98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Wagoneer 4.0L, but nothing listed for a 99 4.0L. Thanks, Wade

Counting my 2, I've seen exactly 5 MJ's (One in a JY) in my Area TOTAL (San Jose, Santa Cruz, etc) in the past 2 to 3 years (since I started looking for them)... I'm not sure how "Rare" that makes em... and I sure don't think that means the value is quadrupled (Like the guy in LA that thinks his is worth 10K+ with stock Axles, Gears, etc). Like everything else, it's only worth what you can get someone to pay for it. I think some areas, like Wisconsin must have had more than their share of units head that way when they were new, so I think if your Pat and have had owned dozens of them, or your like me our West and only personally seen a couple, it just depends on where you are at and how hard you are looking for em.

Pretty much what I see in my MJ and even worse in my TJ (about 8-10mpg max)... I drive 1.5 Miles each way to work and have 6 or 7 stoplights between here and there... So I rarely go above 35 mph since thats the limit and we have a lot of bored cops...So I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that the low mileage, slow speeds, short trips and start/stop really kill the mileage... I did nearly a full tank in the TJ all Hwy @ 65 mph ish most of the way and got closer to 12-14mpg... Since I split the daily driving between the TJ and the MJ, I go about a month between fill ups in either/both rigs, and I don't expect to put more than 2-2.5K miles on either of them over a full year period... If it were a little closer, I'd go look at it just for giggles... It's 90 or so miles, and I'm pretty sure the wife wouldn't be too happy if I brought home a 3rd MJ (even though #2 is eventually getting a new home)... Wade

Pete's Pic looks more like 4+1 to me... Looking at the left edge, It looks more like 4 than what it does in the middle... P.S., What's all that Reddish/Brown stuff all over you metal parts... Doesn't look familar to me... :D
