The Blue Tops are not made to be in a vehicle, therefore they will not last. The Blue Top is a Marine battery, not intended to be on a constant charge from an alternator, as that actually cuts the life short. Red Top and Yellow Top are for verhicular use  . I agree with Don, this is one of those subjective topics that can only end in the original poster having to sort throught the never ending opinions to arrive at his own. I will also agree that the average vehicle that does not have extra equipment on it like a winch, offroad lights, etc. will have a hard time justifying the cost other than the longer life. Average lead/acid battery life is 3 years here in Florida, regardless of which one you buy, so the gell cell is definitley worth it, as they will last at least 6-7 years--possibly more. I got different information from an Optima rep and engineer regarding the Blue top, but since its gone, it's not worth arguing about

I had an Optima Blue top in my TJ that barely made it 3 years...would charge and then not hold it very long...messed with it for like 3 weeks and gave up. won't buy another one most likely... I replaced with a Die Hard Platnium P4 which is made by Odyssey... Not had very long, but at least it holds a charge. Wade

yeah, that was one of the complaints. The difference being, I have and would again buy stuff from Poly Performance...

Not trying to start a war or badmouth anyone here. I have zero doubts regarding MO's customer support, tech advice, and forum participation, all stellar, and he has helped me out several times in the past. But his prices are hardly "pretty decent"; most always 15%-25% higher than most others I contact. I have found equal if not better support from several other vendors, depending on what you need. One of the best I have used for years is Bob Supplee out in OK. Small shop, best prices and support, and can get anything. Supplee 4WD Enterprises, Inc. 3615 E I-240 Service RD Oklahoma City, OK 73135 (405) 799-8977 supplee4wd@sbcglobal.net :agree: on MO's prices...no where near decent on anything that isn't a kit he put together himself... Been many years, but I bought from Bob when I first starting buying stuff for my TJ... I know they may not list of lot of MJ specific stuff, but I get everything for my TJ from Jason @ Redrock4x4.com and David @ Northridge4x4.com Both sell gears and diff covers and stuff and have both taken good care of me in the past for many things...both also offer Free Shipping on orders over $100... Just my $.02's Wade

I was going to buy the TnT Truss when I bent the tube on my TJ D30... Then I figured it was a "throw away" housing (I didn't pay anything for it) if I bend again...saved my $ for something bigger down the road...

I didn't think anyone cared that "the other one's" name is Jennifer

I'm going to yank my entire dash to fix the rust spot up under on the cowl are while we are in the dry time through our summer. I can start pulling screws, but wanted to see if anyone had a writeup with pics or could offer some advise.

The one on the left does have a "Jeep" shirt on at least...

It was in the laundry I think...

Was pretty nice...fog lifted about 11-12ish, but not too hot and just breezy enough to keep the bugs off. Yah, I know we have been a little slow with wheeling with the kids. Between a TJ that's been in various stages of upgrades over the past couple of years and an over protective wife, this was the first time we agreed it was OK to go. No Jungle Trail, Bonanza Gulch, Tank Trap or Truck Hill, but a nice peaceful easy couple of hours out there. There were a few Power Wagon guys out there, but otherwise pretty empty. Wade

Since my MJ is a "pile" that probably would die before I got it to the off road park (I'm really in love with it right now if you couldn't tell), I wanted to show that I'm still representing the CC, even if wheeling my TJ...(see the shirt on my daughter Emily on the right) Took them out on their first 4x4 trip today to Hollister Hills in Central Cali. Did mostly easy stuff, but was a good day... The TJ BTW

You missed a nice lazy Hollister Hills trip today...took my kids up for their first off-road trip... Wade

We have it deployed on about 17,000-18,000 PC's that all have SP3 with no significant issues reported as part of the Service Pack install (was deployed from our internal Microsoft WIndows Update Servers globally). I see no reason NOT to install it. It's not a super speedy install but was MUCH less painful than SP2 (which changed quite a bit of the Core OS), SP3 was more patch rollups and minor things.

I need an upgrade... I have a few year old cheapy Onkyo HTIB (home theater in a box) and only have the center and front 2 speakers connected... I'm wanting a new receiver that will do all the 1080P HDMI switching (at least 4 HDMI inputs and would prefer 6) and Composite and component upconverting to 1080p....Once I upgrade my HDTV (Current 42" 720p Sony LCD is about 4 years old now) I'll look at upgrading as well. Most likely go with a wall mounted soundbar for thing front under the wall mounted plasma (52-56") and something wall mounted for the rear. I'm trying to talk the wife into letting me block off the regular door and window to our downstairs guest room, bust a new door thru the living room wall and setting up a "real" multi seat theater, but I don't see that happening SW2

I don't think "real" wings ever made it at far as California...there were a couple dive places in Nebraska that could stir up a pretty good batch, but nothing I've had west of the Rockies has really been worth talking about.

Never heard of it, but sounds cool...

Replacement Fuel Injector Install Writeup?

You got further than I did... I looked at it a little bit and this was right about whent the "losing interest" in my MJ happened...so they are sitting on the workbench still.. I don't have any of those autoparts places, so there is about 0% chance of me getting any of the right o-ings, and this would end up being a 2 week project because I'd have to order something online and I'd just get pissed and hate the MJ more. -

Yah, 31x10.5 Mickey Thompson MTZ's, sorry the pics not level, but that's how my driveway sits... 2" Coil Spacers (left over from my old TJ lift) up front and the Chevy Drop shackles ($40 Ebay specials) in the rear (which I have on the upper bolt hole and should probably move to the lower).

But they look like poo on a stick...

Spidertrax are $99/pair and sometime you can pick em up used for 1/2 that.

Unless you plan on coming a 300+ miles West, Vegas isn't the West Coast...maybe West of where you are, but still have 5+ hours by car to any Ocean, making it the coast... Enjoy Vegas though...lots to see and do...and do again and again and again...

Yah mine are missing too
