From the reading I have done chico, a thermostat is actually there to keep the engine hot, not cool. Ive also read that our engines like to run hot. If it isnt overheating and your new tank has fixed the problem with the cap on the expansion tank then I say forget about it. only because it seems like there is nothing left to check.

It sounds like there is rust in your system from somewhere. If you are not comfortable flushing the system yourself than I think you should bring it somewhere and have it done. For the $7, I would replace the thermostat when it is done too; I would get one that is 195* Just saw your second post. A pressure test would be a good idea. Are you sure it isnt just antifreeze that settled there when it overheated? your sure it is coming out between the head and block?

Welfare should last only 4 years. You should HAVE to be in school FULL TIME and they should let the person keep medical and food stamps for one year after the 4 years is up and they have a job with a degree. Once you sign up, your 4 years has started. if you stop school for a year you are off the program until you sign back up but that year still counts against your 4. :eek: Can it really be that simple? I have the exact same problem and i also use a fram filter! Its about time for an oil/filter change anyway so i will definetly try it. Yes, It can actually be that simple. Good for us; Bad for fram.

A fram filter did this to me too. I replaced it with a NAPA Gold (which is made by WIX) and the problem was fixed. No more Fram for me.

So you have to remove the bulb thru the side, right? The lens does not come off (w/out breaking)?

How do you change the bulb? The clear lens turns a little to the side but thats it. Is there a way to get the lens out w/out breaking the little clips?

Someone tried to fit the XJ sending unit into the MJ and the they are actually opposite of each other. The float arm and the filter are on opposite sides which caused it to hit on the "pan" inside the tank. So I think the same thing would happen if you tried the MJ in the XJ tank. Sorry I didnt get back sooner rob. Me and a friend actually buy alot of small parts for our Mjs from them. I thought he might give you the refund as I have never had any problems with them. They even tape letters to all there shipped packages asking to let them know if there is any problems and they will fix it. I was actually there on Friday and have to go back this week.
