  1. If money is tite, this option is likely out. But I'll post it for anyone searching thsi one.. 2. An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had once failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan". All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.... After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F. The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else. All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.
  3. I just spoke with the person who I eluded to. he no longer has the setup. Sit down before reading further....... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .It was NOS, NIB IIRC... CW
  4. OH come on now...what did you have to go and say that for.......... ONLY good part was the last hurrah part.... CW
  5. This thread just hit 100 pages!!!! GOOD call starting it PAT!!! I washed mine again. Weatherman says nice till Monday...its freakin 47 degrees here!! Was 19 this AM @ 5AM when I went to work!!! :wall: :wall: CW
  6. That's correct Automan! Project88, Didn't you catch the "Gibbs" head slap or did I hit ya too hard? :D  :rotf: Of coarse I don't know ya anymore than what you offer any of us here on the forum. We are a generation apart combined with written word sometimes true intentions are missed or mistaken. Now don't be a "tool" go get your girl back!! Another tidbit for ya.. I get the last word in EVERY argument my wife and I have. "Yes dear" I do rite by her, try to put her needs in front of mine and think of all the things she does for me. Its a give and take. Think of yourself more like a willow tree then an Oak. Gotta move with the wind or you will get broke/uprooted. Now I gotta get off this soap box... Momma just took two loafs of bread out of the oven and there is a fresh tub of my butter in the fridge!!! :brows: :brows: WOW do it smell goooood in here!!! Peace all, CW
  7. I just checked the temp..seemed pretty warm....its freakin' 47degrees!! Freaky New England weather!!! If you close your eyes, go outside and take a deep breath..kinda feels like spring is near today!!..Then open them to a winter wonderland with about 10" of white stuff.... :rotf: :dunno: CW
  8. That's some very good "shade tree" fab work there!! GOOD JOB!! I assume you don't have a welder? As this would be better then any bolts... CW
  9. Your talkin' season, I'm talkin' one storm! We have been lucky, getting missed by a couple douses. But IIRC our total here in CT is just about 36" for the season. CW
  10. WELCOME, N00b or not doesn't mater, come one came all. ALL have something worthy to contribute!!! The day ANY of us stop learning is the day we go meet our maker. I like the idea and a couple other members have started just such a post. :fool: I don't really like to lay the "GO SEARCH" on a n00b, mostly because ours isn't great. Pete, (All mighty Admin and all around great guy, who runs this site) doesn't much care for "stickies". CW
  11. We got a foot of the white stuff yesterday.... No spring in Connecticut... :wall:  :wall:  :wall: YET! CW
  12. Yes they where higher than 1800, but dosent matter. There is no difference in the D44 in a stock MJ, as it pertains to payload. Its the springs. They where avalible with 3:07, 3:54 and 4:10's. Thats a STEAL!! RUN AND GO GET IT!!! CW
  13. I have been considering this too... I have allot invested in mine and would like to enjoy it foir sometime.... Post up pics or maybe to a write up on what you come up with!! CW
  14. Of course they do not "HEAT" ids a freakin' fridge... We are talking about the fridge part...NOT the freezer part too... Auto, I remember now. Of coarse you are correct. I did say USED TO do that.... All I can tell you is my 40 + years experience. Beer in the fridge, in the garage, has NOT FROOZE here in Connecticut! Its been in the teens LOTS, been in the single digits a few times but not extended. Some of my beer is out there now and its just fine.. I JUST CHECKED IT!! We got a foot of snow yesterday and the temps now are right @ 20, my beer is fine......... CW
  15. Practice basic off road guidelines!! DON'T GO ALONE!! (The buddie in the seat beside you is good, but doesn't qualify!) Have basic recovery equipment, like good solid tow points front AND rear. Have a strap or two, if only one get a good one in 30'. NO HOOKS ON THE STRAP!!! You will Ned a couple shackles to attach the strap to the vehicles. Now all you need is some common sense. That's the tough one, its can't be bought, its gotta be learned ! Glad you got out with no breakage or injury sans your ego. CW
  16. Obviously I am no doctor. But I do work with them!! :D :D MANY don't like Lipitor for the muscle issues associated with it. In my case, the "spongy" muscle went away shortly after getting off the junk. Talk to your doc, see if you can get off it and see how it works for you. I don't go to the gym either, I am very active at work and working on my jeeps and walking in the warmer temps. So NOT in the gym isn't the cause or the effect. IMHO the Lipitor is!! Again, GOOD LUCK BROTHER!! CW
  17. NO it will not!! (@ least not till temps got so lo it wouldn't matter as you couldnt stand them to go out there to check!) #1 it has alcohol in it. #2 Its in a pressurized bottle. Even water in such a condition resists freezing to temps in the upper teens. #3 The fridge works both ways, keeps the temps at the setting, in heat or cold. Pretty much regardless of our side temps. (Again with insencible range.) Years ago, I drove refer trucks and even in wind chill temps to 50-60 below zero the refer unit kept the eggs and milk from freezing. Point in fact, if the temps where much blow freezing, and that refer unit was on the fritz, that truck couldn't go out!!!! Its kinda screwy when you come in from that kind of frigid cold, wheeling in product directly into a "cooler" that's warmer then where you just came from. Screws with your brain a bit!! DISCLAIMER: This is to a sensible temperature. Say 20 below zero or so. Not wind chill, but actual temp. Below that the refer unit likely wouldn't be able to run anyhow. if the temps are near zero outside its likely your garage will be warmer then that. Esp if it shares a wall with your home. Mine doesn't and my $100 Home Depot fridge, runs along nicely keeping my beer chilled all year round!! CW
  18. You broke it off ON VALENTINES DAY??? Not great on planning are you.... :fool: I had a couple "friends" growing up who would dump girls just before or on holidays. Never had much respect for them... CW
  19.   You spent that on a sound system and cry about not having and wanting a MJ again??? :fool: Man, you know you could build a MIGHTY FINE specimen for less than that!!! Its all about the priorities.........  :shake: :fool: CW
  20. WOW, All that and that's all they put you on was baby aspirin, and you have been off that for 12months?!?!? WOW.. how is that going?? My heart attack was Last January, I am on three different medications for it AND a full aspirin daily!!! (One of the medications is just for the stint) Anyhow, my reason for mentioning is that broken blood vessels are common place with blood thinners. I was switched form Lipitor to Crestor and 90% of my bruising issues went away and muscle tone and muscle firmness came back. When I was on Lipitor, my usually hard/firm muscles where soft and "weak" feeling. Since getting off that junk, I have returned to more of my self. (Never been a body builder, but always been athletic in my build) I'm certain everything will be OK. CW
  21. It will take some deep pockets to get it... but I know where there was one.... CW
  22. Hey now, nothing wrong with siblings.. the XJ is a jeep too!! I have had three or four of them thru the years.. I have a '88XJ now!! As well as a '04KJ, a '86CJ and a '99TJ!! Reciently sold a 2WD '89XJ. Next Jeep will likely be a J20 for a two rig!! IF I can find one "worthy". :brows: CW
  23. I remember the head unit was about a buck and a half. The rear speakers a buck and a quarter and IIRC, the component fronts just over two bills... so under 500 total. Put your money in to the speakers and you will be happy... CW
  24. Darren, Thanks for the kind words. Like many of us, I was surprised and sorry to see you sell your MJ!! Glad you have a replacement Jeep and look forward to seeing the build!! :clapping: :clapping: Good luck with it and please, DEFINITELY keep us "in the loop"!! CW
