  2. Little Johnny (AND CW) is not an Obama fan A teacher asked her 6th grade class how many of them were Obama fans. Not really knowing what an Obama fan is, but wanting to be liked by the teacher, all the kids raised their hands except for Little Johnny. The teacher asked Little Johnny why he has decided to be different... again. Little Johnny said, "Because I'm not an Obama fan." The teacher asked, "Why aren't you a fan of Obama?" Johnny said, "Because I'm a Republican." The teacher asked him why he's a Republican. Little Johnny answered, "Well, my Mom's a Republican and my Dad's a Republican, so I'm a Republican." Annoyed by this answer, the teacher asked, "If your mom were a moron and your dad were an idiot, what would that make you?" With a big smile, Little Johnny replied, "That would make me an Obama fan." It's like recess at the Asylum..... :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:  :agree: :agree: :agree: CW

  9. Like I said, if your installing spacers than YES. If just a taller spring, no. Guess thats just the difference between makers, some are more "complete" than others.. :dunno: CW
  10. Here is a shot of my centering pin in the MOPAR perch. Here is a shot of what I made up to compensate: CW
  11. Sure, its threaded! The factory isolator and if you where adding spacers will require its removal. Its just another case of 20+ year old attachment. its gonna be hard to do somethin. CW
  12. Sure it does!! It should have a threaded bolt attached directly to it. Grab the "cup" with a stillson wrench and turn it off. Later versions required the rubber snubber to be removed revealing a socket head bolt... CW
  13. ANOTHER SCORE!!! I picked up some stuff for the CJ project.... Set of glass for CJ full doors. New windshield glass, New Radiator, used D44 axles with new bearings and seals, brand new 33" AT tire with a matching rim, CJ Half doors with aftermarket slider soft tops, full plow hydraulic setup with two sets of hoses, OBA compressor, 115V 2HP motor to run the compressor @ home, a CJ front DS Speicer needing Ujoints, some scrap steel and a sheet of 1/8" aluminum and a set of CJ D30 shafts. I'd tell ya how much, but the last "acquisition" was unbelievable enough... I'd have you guys up here in my stomping grounds sucking up all my yet to find good deals... :rotf: (Cough cough 150$ cough)    :brows: CW

  15. Mine are 3/8". Thats with the RUSTY's leafs and the current MOTION leafs. I Run the Mopar perches and those have even a bigger hole. I also made my own as jmpjim mentioned. the one thing most centering pins use is a fine thread. CW
  16. NINE WORDS WOMEN USE (1) Fine:This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up. (2) Five Minutes:If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house. (3) Nothing:This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine. (4) Go Ahead:This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It! (5) Loud Sigh:This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.) (6) That's Okay:This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake. (7) Thanks:A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' . that will bring on a 'whatever'). (8) Whatever:Is a woman's way of saying Go jump in the Lake (I changed this from Go to Hades) !!! (9) Don't worry about it, I got it:Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3. * Send this to the men you know, to warn them about arguments they can avoid if they remember the terminology. * Send this to all the women you know to give them a good laugh, cause they know it's true!!!
  17. I plan on redoing my interior in the spring too!! Gonna use the sound deaden like you did and the spray on in the areas where the sheet stuff isn't usable. Hope you quiet the noise and insulate a bit better... The BLACK looks very nice, GOOD JOB!! CW
  18. Today was a day off.... ran across a yard sale... The guy was moving and had to dump everything fast. He had mostly junk, (That's why a rarely ever stop at these things...) But we spotted some welding stuff. He had an old green MIG welder and bunch of accessories. A Lincoln buzz box with accessories and an acetylene set with accessories. We haggled a bit, I said I don't need the buzz box or the big, but the offer was all or buy what I wanted at his prices... I took it all!!  :clapping: My neighbor got the buzz box as I have one and mine was bigger and newer. I kept the Mig even though I also have a good one. It will be a back up. In the nack of my head if my other brother-in-law catched the jeep bug I'll give it to him. The mig is in rough shape, but turns on and runs. I didn't strike a bead, but with cleanup, I'll bet it works fine. It's a 140A thats rated at 90 with a 20% duty cycle. The acetylene setup is all I really wanted and worth the price paid for everything. BOTH bottles are near full. its got a brasing tip and cutting tip with extra tips. Extra NEW set of hoses and the gun is in great shape. BOTH regulators are NAPA and look to be only a couple years old. BOTH bottles are in pressure reg dates. The cart is nice and only slightly bent but entirely useable. The goggles are shot as is the ignitor. Just wanted to share my good fortune with my CC brothers. OH YEA, not bad for $50!!! :wavey: :shake: :wavey:  CW
  19. don't worry about the Nittos, they are a good tire, just not as well known. I have one friend that runns them exclusively for many years now. Hie is 99% on road, but gets excellent mileage from them. he was also a staunch BFG fan before switching over. My brother-in-law couldnt get the BGF's I suggested for him when he put bigger tires on his Nissan PU. The tire place gave him a good deal on the higher priced nittos. he has 20K on them and there is barely any wear. He does off road a fair amount, but mostly class6 roads with minor rock work. No chipping so far. I was going to grad a set of nitto Muds but another set of BFG muds came along first... I think your gonna like em'.. Thruck looks good too!! CW
  20. Truck really looks great. One suggestion...loose the sand, water, corrosion catching shock ruining shock boots... CW
  21. I bought a set of the older (5-6 years ago) Dakota mudders as a "spare set of tires" for my TJ in 31". They where OK, nothing spectacular but nothing aweful either. I moved them to a Ford PU where they lasted me a bit over 30K miles. CW
  22. You can see one change with the gusseting on yours and not on mine... Curie is a company that doesn't sit on there laurels. It doesn't surprise me they have made advances across there line. CW
  23. Thats a D35 rear axle, I'm guessing someone added the metric tonne label... It does look clean... CW
  24. Wade, I have this one on MY TJ. Its been great! I'm not so thrilled about the singles share of the upper mount, but the body is beefier and grade 8 as well.. Solved allot of little "quirks" that I had with the Skyjacker bar I had before. CW
