Ok, this is weird. We had a 72 Chevy 4wd when I was a kid, then a Luv 4wd that I drove when I got my license. But then we had an S10 (with the 2.Hate)

It will be interesting to see how this will perform when it comes out, just cool that someone is putting a diesel in a mid-size truck. Who will be the first person from CC that will salvage a wrecked one from a boneyard to craft it in to his MJ?! I think it has some definite styling cues from the Tacoma. The crew cab back door windows swept up and the center stack on the dash too. My first reaction is........I like it. Hopefully its build quality is more in line with its big brother and not like the previous S10 and Colorado. http://reviews.cnet.com/suv/2015-chevrolet-colorado-pickup/4505-10868_7-35832652.html http://www.autoblog.com/2013/11/20/2015-chevrolet-colorado-revealed-diesel-la/ http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/cars/2013/11/20/chevrolet-colorado-mid-size-pickup-los-angles-auto-show/3600611/ http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/trucks/1311_2015_chevrolet_colorado_first_look/

Sharing My 30 Day Autocheck Acct, Anybody Have Carfax?
WahooSteeler replied to WahooSteeler's topic in The Pub
Hornbrod, sorry I didn't get a chance to respond last night. Did you change your mind on your post since you deleted it LOL? :dunno: All is well. Craaazy busy at work, commercial real estate market finally "ok" again after a few years of staring at the walls. Family is good, but have to say the MJ has been parked for the better part of a year. Hard to start, then idles fine, then no power at all under load. Will run only if I floor it. Thinking could be one of several things or even a couple of problems together. O2 sensor? Because it is dumping gas in it under light load and by the fact that under full throttle it seems to be getting the right fuel/air mixture. Also pretty certain cracked manifold. Haven't had the time or spare cash to get it running right again, but should be able to give it some attention now. Any thoughts on the issues? -
I am helping my mother look for a new (used) car and just activated an unlimited report AutoCheck account for the next 30 days. Glad to share with anyone that needs to run a report. One thing I DO like about Carfax is it will show dealer maintenance history in many cases, so if anyone has an active Carfax account I can run a report on, I'll "trade" you lol. PM me..... Thanks!

Wow! If you haven't scrolled the inventory list, danby said it best.......UFR! If mid 60s Chevy pickups are your thing, I stopped counting at @15 of them, all 6cyl, all with under 10 miles on them!!! I saw a 72 pickup, 350 auto with 3 miles on it, and a 76 and 77 4x4 with single digit miles. Crazy.......

Check out this Chevy dealer in Nebraska that closed down a long long time ago and is now auctioning off 30,40, & 50 yr old Chevys that were never sold or titled. If anybody is looking for some NOS parts gold, I would guess there will be a few gems in the auction, and you can bid online. http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2013/6/26/Old-Chevy-Dealership-is-Auctioning-Its-Undiscovered-Treasures-7714987/

I did a search to see if this has been posted on CC before, didn't find anything, but might still be posting something that's already made the rounds. With my fascination on the MJ Dually and the fact one is actually for sale @3hrs from me right now, I Googled dually Comanches (for probably the 1000th time LOL) and came across this posting of another 4 door MJ project. Looks like it was done fairly well. Of course the haters don't like the XJ rear doors being that there is no wheel well, but I don't mind it. Just as someone else posted on the thread, I don't love it, but I don't mind it as a minor flaw in an otherwise nicely done build. http://www.cherokeeforum.com/f59/4-door-comanche-114309/index3/

WahooSteeler replied to ComancheKid45's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
given the few of these made, the white side mirrors, white front bumper guards, and chrome bed tie downs, i'd say this is the ebay one from CA for sure..... -
Hey Beavis, he said "beefy".........huh huh, huh huh :dunce:

I'm in 3rd place in a pool and, surprisingly, I'm the only one with Louisville winning it out of the top three. So if they win, I win! Go Louisville!

I've been away for awhile, popping my head in the door every so often so to speak, so this may have already made the rounds. This MJ sold at the Barrett Jackson auction, apparently for $16k! Yet it doesn't even have power windows, center console, or common upgrades such as the dual diaphram master cylinder. Time to buff 'em up and head to Arizona boys! LOL http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/onlinesubmission/lotdetails.aspx?ln=52&aid=466

These may have been posted on here before, but are new to me. I stumbled across this listing on ebay for a Comanche RC body and saw the videos posted in the ad. There is one on the beach hammering some "dunes" and one rock crawling one. Very cool! Even RC Comanches are the shizzle! http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-ProLine-Jeep-Comanche-Body-for-Axial-Honcho-SCX10-12-3-wheelbase-10th-33262-/120818083069?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&var=&hash=item1c2151a4fd

by the snap on chrome wheels, I think "completely restored" translates to "Earl Scheib paint job"! -

Drivers side outer window wipe?
WahooSteeler replied to lexluthier72's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
i didn't check it before i sent the link, but they used to sell them individually and/or by the inner or outer wipe. i only needed outer wipes when i bought from them a couple of years ago and i think i paid @$12-15 each for two of them. i agree they are expensive when forced to buy the whole set. you may have some luck from some of the dealerships that run websites for parts sales, like wholesalemopar.com -

is my truck metric ton worthy?
WahooSteeler replied to MancheKid86's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
There are several vendors in the U.S. that sell spring replacements for the MJ that are payload rated similar to the factory metric ton package. Hell Creek is a member here and everybody that has bought from him has nothing but praise for the product and the service. http://www.hellcreeksuspensions.com/ -

WahooSteeler replied to MancheKid86's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
MT's were 5 leafs, so it was factory MT to start. You have an add-a-leaf in there. Starting from the overload spring and going up, the third spring is the AAL. You can tell because 1) the spring is square on the end vs. rounded off and is also the same thickness as the rest of the spring vs. tapered thin on the end like a factory spring; 2) there is no factory rub pad, which is the black "dot" you see on the end of the factory springs. Factory springs have a plastic piece between each spring on the end. :smart:
