Well, we know what Jeepdoggydog has planned fo' shizzle, what are the rest of you doing? Spending a little time around the grizzle? (couldn't resist) Me? Well we'll be down (over) in Tappahannock, VA on the Rappahannock River sunnin' and funnin' with a college buddy of mine. His family has a little cottage at then end of a road there on a private inlet and every 4th the 10-12 houses on that road have their own parade. Funny as crap. Other than the one old fire engine one guy has, it's mostly lawn tractors and golf carts all decorated in red, white and blue, kids on bikes, and drunk 40-50 yr olds. It's got a nice private little beach on the river, a 21' and 28' boat to ski behind or cruise on, couple of SeaDoos, and lots'o beer. Usually we all have some contraband fireworks on hand too. No doubt it will be a good time. So to all CC'rs, have a safe and happy one...... :USAflag: :USAflag: :USAflag:

Interesting for sure. I always heard Liquid Wrench was good too. Now I know. Wade-Duece, I see you're getting a lot of work done today like me LOL :D -
Ok, cool. I've got a buddy over in Leonardtown that I asked to be on the lookout for any MJ and/or Jeep parts and I was going to give him a hard time about it. :brows:

Damn mfpdm, before I read your "disclaimer", I was going to ask you to keep us posted on the progress of that project, and also remind you that once it was accomplished...... :needpics:

JT, you said exactly what I was going to on the Casablanca, looks like an old Trooper. Of the 2500, when I first saw some pics of the parts etc, I wasn't crazy about it. With these additional pics though, to me it's clearly one of those things that depends SO MUCH on the rest of what you're looking at. I.E., the color, how it looks in relation to the rest of the vehicle, other parts and/or mods such as wheels and tires, grill guard and/or driving lights, etc etc. For example, I think the silver 2500 Adam showed looks killer. But I think that's because all the other mods keep you from focusing on the massiveness of the grill and lights. Like Mr. Miaggi said, "yooou need-a balance". I think that is supported by everyone's comments on the white MJ in progress. Needs the 2500 bumper to be proportionate, and needs a grill guard and lights to balance out those big @$$ headlights. But, I definitely give a thumbs up for trying something different. ** Please note: I do, however, ESPECIALLY like the "hot cup of tea" in her little American cowgirl outfit at the car show! :brows:

Knucklebreaker Expansion Valve
WahooSteeler replied to WahooSteeler's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I thought WD40 was discovered by accident, a byproduct of an attempt to make something else. Like PostIt's...... :dunno: -
Please don't tell me you found it around the Budds Creek or Leonardtown area.

Knucklebreaker Expansion Valve

Picked up some PB, got the second by the firewall loose, although I think it was the "peanut butter jar effect", i.e. it was already a little bit loose. Now the other side, sheeeeez, no budge yet. Just to be sure, nobody has confirmed yet whether or not these couplers (towards the front) are reverse thread. I also have found it interesting as to why there are a lot of metric sizes on this American made vehicle. (seat bolts, these couplers, etc.) -

I'll pick some up and give it a try, but WD has always done me right. -
I am trying to change out my old A/C expansion valve and I can only get one line loose. I have LIBERALLY sprayed WD40 in the exposed threads and just can't seem to break the others free. I assume the front side ones are NOT reverse thread, but I've tried both directions to be sure. Suggestions?

I dunno, I'd have to see pics of you sans beard and more weight for those comparisons. Sitting in the tub, not so much, but in the truck, I still say there is a distinct likeness to Gladiator Man. Image Not FoundImage Not Found Image Not Found

Wow, congrats. I'd freak out if I found a rebuilt 4-oh for a buck fitty. MF, you run across something like that again you just give ole WahooSteeler a call, I'll take it. I speak for the masses in that we're excited you're close to getting over the hump.

LOL no disappointment SuperWade! 1) giving you a hard time, 2) just surprised. don't know why, just would have figured you for a dog kinda guy. :brows:

 #2, you don't like dogs? Dogs? Who doesn't like dogs? Do you like cheeseburgers? Did you eat PB&Js as a kid? Damn, I'm so disappointed...

Yo #2, that pic of you in the truck with your nephew, maybe it's just me, and don't let this go to your head LOL, but anybody ever tell you that you look a little like Russell Crowe?

Cool. I know I don't have to ask you to keep us posted on how it turns out.

Cooling system
WahooSteeler replied to chicofuentes0224's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
give it the garden hose test. i read in one of the manuals to pinch off the hose for a couple of seconds and slowly release it. you should feel water rushing through if the pump is working. -
WadeDucie, just a reminder most lifts for the MJ have an extra inch or so up front, so if your hockey pucks give you 1.75 you may only want 1" in the back. but that's the great thing about the chevy drops, IIRC, is that they have 2 holes, giving you the option of 1 or 2 inches of lift. so if you like the slight rake of a std MJ, you can go with the 2" setting.

I say we pick a date and convoy there with as many of us as we can, at least a 100 of us, and parade the front with signs til they let us see it :D

i don't know how i missed this thread?! :wall: you guys know i'm always up for a good debate on resales, and i missed some good opportunity for a little classic CC doofball humor. i must have been licking the windows on the short bus when this was making the rounds. :dunce:
