Oh, I'm sure those pics are dream cars for most of us. Now for a classic, I'll take your Camaro also, but I'd probably take a 69 Chevelle, 396 BB, cowl induction hood etc, OR, a classic GOAT convertible. Now in that I'd be ok with a 326 instead of a big block, just because I always thought it was cool Poontiac had their "own 326" while the Chebby's had the 327. In high school, my best friend talked an older friend of ours into letting him drive for the summer one of his many GTOs and Tempests he had laying around waiting for restoration. We spent about $40 in used tires, got it to pass inspection, and just had a blast in it all summer. We'd argue who's turn it was to drive. I think it was a 67, and it was a black Tempest 326 with 3 On The Tree baby! We called it...........The Black Widow (so creative). Good times......... :chillin:
  2. Actually middle finger boys, if you go to the sticky for both introducing your truck and yourself, you'll see I recently (like, this week) posted those up. I'm a play'ah :D

    oh yeah.........
  4. OK OK, here I am finally. FYI, went to Atlanta for Memorial Day weekend to see my brother n law and went to the Georgia Aquarium. I reached in a tank and touched a blowfish and had some kind of reaction. This is a pic of me right after, where I've swollen up about twice my normal size. On my lap are Thing 1 and Thing 2. Meredith will be 3 in November and is a complete terror. Reed will be 7 in August and scares me how smart he is. He just finished 1st grade and tested out as able to read at a 6th grade level. Sorry, had to brag to divert your attention from my walrus-ness, errrr, blowfish infection.
  5. Umm, she's kinda hot. I'd mow her grass for her! Anyway...... Image Not Found But Chico, I think all you'd have to do is call PennDot and ask for their paint code on their trucks
  6. Ha Ha Ha Eagle! I figured I'd wait until somebody else posted before I made sure everyone knew I was just kidding. It goes without saying I love it here, and it's obvious that in addition to learning all I can from everybody, it's a big social outlet for me. It's cool to have a common interest with such a large mix of people and be able to converse with them in one place. :chillin: .......oh, and by the way Eagle, I have often been said to have a resemblance to Little Enos, not Big Enos.

JT, we think alike. While I love the Cayenne, if I'm gonna buy a Porsche I gotta have the baddest they got and the Whale Tail that comes with it. 911 Turbo......Wow
  8. mknhimhappy, don't be such a wuss and read between the lines. everybody here is a jag-off and only worried about being "Mr. MJ". 2 pages of mamby-pamby BS and all this syrupy "i love you man!" crap. i only come here to balance all of that stuff out as the resident flamethrower. Signed, Pirate Unlimited
  9. JT, why not follow the the common practice of adding another Rodeo main leaf under your current one? It would have the proper arch and spring rate, and you could probably find one in a JY w/out too much trouble.
  10. She couldn't break in to the industry because her screen name was too hard to pronounce using the standard formula: your pet name and the street you grew up on. But we've been practicing her scenes and working on her new persona: Dr. Ingrid Comanche, the Swiss Squaw.
  11. Yup, she's loaded. I love the fact that when I lavish her with gifts it's actually with her own money! Like that bikini and belly ring she's wearing that I bought her. Silly Ingrid, she's so book smart but not a lick of common sense. By the way, she likes her eggs sunnyside, not scrambled. :chillin:
  12. Chico, in reality we've all just tried to impress you with worthless knowledge. There's a little known secret that I'm willing to share with you that will give you up to a 55HP increase and 30% fuel increase. It's called...The Turbonator! So easy to install, you can even do it while wearing your bikini! And it's only $39.95!!! Image Not Found And she's not just a customer, she's the Swedish Engineer that owns the company! :D
  13. Chicofooowen-tay, I think it is what it is brother. I'm at 212k and haven't done a lick to the engine, but intend to basically do all that you have. Right now it runs a little rough and I'm probably about 12 around town and 15-16 hwy, but 98% of it is around town. I'd like to think that when I get to doing all the sensors, full tuneup, etc. I could see a 25% increase. But as Eagle so succinctly pointed out, in that oh so endearing way that he does LOL, when you're working from low numbers, even high percentage changes still yield relatively low numbers. I dunno, with over 200k on the clock, if I'm able to get 15mpg zipping around town running errands etc., I'd be pretty damn impressed and certainly happy, especially on 20yr old engineering. And if the occasional hwy trip to a motocross race or something yielded me 18-20mpg, holy $4 gas Batman, I'd be super impressed. Now, I just gotta get something off my mind, and I don't mean to be a jerk about it to anyone. So here it goes. I've seen several people claim they get low to mid 20's on both MJs and XJs running 33s and 4.10s or higher gears in some cases. And to be clear, I'm talking about 4x4s w/4.0s, autos and manuals, not 4cyl 2wd's. These rigs in their prime MIGHT have gotten low to mid 20s on a long FLAT road trip using cruise control. But that's with 225/75 tires and alloy rims. There are simple physics at work here. You only put lower gears in because you need that to turn 33s and, more often than not, steel wheels (vs. alloys) just to get the engine's RPMs back in the optimum operating range. More weight = less MPG. FYI, a quick check on tirerack.com and 225/75 Goodyear RT/S's weigh 26lbs and 33/12.50 MTRs weigh 57lbs. Sorry guys, it don't add up
  14. Thanks Taz, yeah, I really like the color combo too, even the 80s maroon interior. I hope to have the lowers cleaned up and painted in the next few months and although I like the gray/"argent" (as they call it at the factory), I think I'm gonna do the bottom black and the same with the flares and molding. Eventually I'd like to go 2 tone and do the top black also and keep the garnet metaillic down the middle. I need to play with one of those photochop programs like you did when you did the blue/silver poll.
  15. Somebody buy this bad boy on eBay and sell me the springs! :brows: In looking at it, and being a municipal vehicle, I just knew it had to be an MT, and sho'nuff they just messaged me back and confirmed it has 5 springs. Ran the vin on agedstock.com also, and it shows it as MT also. Look at the pics and see how stout it stands even as a 2wd. I had to go back and look at the pics after the vin search said 2wd because the way it stood I assumed it was 4x4 and didn't even pay attention to no xfer case shifter on the floor. 16. thanks guys. found some on the net for @$9 shipped. Interesting, Advanced sells the 90* high side port online, but not the low side??
  17. I figured there would be. Went to Advanced and Lowes with no luck on that. The 134 fittings are fatter than a std quick connect so just need to find a 90 degree 134 fitting. I'm getting ready to search for some, although I at least put together a backup plan tonight. Advanced sells a basic hose with no gauge and the quick connect end is slimmer than the one that came in the kit. they let me test fit and sho'nuff it barely slid on. So at Lowe's I got some couplers and a gauge to rig it up. I'd still like to find the 90 degree fittings though.
  18. Hey, been out all day. So, I thought beater's looked a little off too Pete. Plus, he's got a D35 under there, and I'm quite confident the MT pkg did NOT come with the weak-@$$ turdy-five. But more importantly, to me, Wildman, are you open to making a deal on yours?
  19. Picked up one of the simple kits to convert and recharge my a/c. Pretty simple after purging the system, just screw on the new adaptors to the service ports and charge with 134. Well, I assume this is the same for everybody, but the damn svc ports are on the back of the compressor and so close to each other that the friggin connector for the refridgerent won't go on! Heading to Advance to see if there is a slimmer refridgerent connector, any suggestions?
  20. I've been holding off putting my rig on here because I wanted to do a progression of pics after doing most of what I wanted to with it. What the hell, just post what you got I say, fill in the rest later. Here goes.... Being loaded in Missouri for her trip to God's Country, eh, Virginia. Notice the cap, which I sold to Komanche, and the nice XJ Lace wheels I sold to JT. Also, dig the factory/dealer installed brush guard and fog lamps. Transport guy was wearing the same black socks at dropoff....... 5 days later. Schaweet. Some close ups.....replaced the vented 1/4s with fixed ones from Jeepco Interior......... Bringing home the 87 4cyl 2wd I sold to brigarpeon. Like a little brother just tagging along behind his big brother LOL. Cleaned up with some nice Canyons!! (sorry the front pic is fuzzy)
  21. Ok, been meaning to post this up for about 4-6 weeks now. This is an MJ that is on the way from my house to my parents, basically about 5 mins from me. Every time I drive by there I just about break my neck trying to absorb the picture of it in my mind. This man has several cars in his driveway and this is absolutely the cherriest MJ I have ever seen, and that's w/out ever really seeing it up close. I mean, as spotless as you can imagine. I've been telling myself ever since I got mine to either knock on his door or leave my biz card in his mailbox saying I'll buy it the minute he ever decides to sell it. So one day about month or so ago I'm heading out to my parents for something and I see he has it parked out in the grass parallel to his driveway. You know, like he was getting ready to put a for sale sign in it. On my way back later on I took this pic with my phone. Why I didn't pull in to his driveway I don't know. Because.......I haven't seen it since. He had a cap on it and it is still sitting in the driveway, but I may commit suicide if I find out he sold it. And I just KNOW it will be for some great price. I may have to go rip the scab off this weekend and find out. :wall: :dunce: Image Not Found fyi, i'm getting ready to finally post a pic of my rig over in the sticky.
  22. awesome. very creative, go get another beer, it's not even 10pm for you yet.
  23. Yeah, and I'll dig up my window sticker. Yep, was in the original vinyl owner's manual case and in good shape. I know it doesn't say anything about it in the sales brochure I have, but I also know that was about as reliable as a weatherman LOL.
  24. Not difficult. Just a pain if you have fat hands. uh ohhhh......
  25. I have to disagree, the tow pkg did not automatically give you the MT setup. I have factory tow, factory D44, and 4 leaf packs. Now, I also have factory off-road pkg, which for some reason could not be had in conjunction with the MT pkg. So unless having this particular combination of pkg's created a factory delete of the 5 leaf packs as std w/the tow pkg, your statement would not be correct.
