Wooky, I was holding that one in my back pocket for later LOL. Absolutely one of the greatest lines of all time, and to think how much that line/insinuation pushed the "politically correct" envelope, even though it was 1977. But IMO the most hilarious dialogue in the movie was right after he asked for the other cops to set up a roadblock. I bust a gut on it every time and it is dripping with satire. This is Sheriff Buford T. Justice of Texarcana, Texas! Sir, did you say you were a sheriff? (Sheriff Branford) That's a big 10-4!  Sir, the fact that you are a sheriff is not germane to the situation. The g@d d@mn germans got nothin' to do with it??!!   :jump::jump::jump::jump::jump: :jump: :jump: :jump: :jump:

If you have a spare rear bumpstop or maybe the OE front bumper guards, cut a couple chunks off and glue them to the D-ring mounts (they look like they are the furthest point forward on the bumper) then paint them silver to blend in with the bumper. Then Tina can use the 'Mawnin method of parking. I've listed the steps to this parking method below: 1. Locate your desired parking space 2. 'Mawn in 'til you hit something, then back up a little ;) As some of you may know, this method was derived from the more commonly used 'Ahmback method. For the uninitiated, I've listed those steps also. 1. Locate your desired parking space 2. 'Ahm back until you hit something, then pull forward a little :D Both methods are very helpful when parallel parking. :brows: -
Fred, now Fred, don't make me come in there after you! No sir, I don't think Fred bit you, because he absolutely don't like grease! Boy, did you know you were going 96 miles an hour? 96 mile an hour? I didn't think this truck could do 96 miles an hour?!
-
Jeff, no idea you were a chef. Awesome! I love to cook and am the one who feeds our family every night. Funny, I thought I'd cook up something nice when we get together to work on the trucks. Maybe I'll just pay the grocery tab and sit back and enjoy! Very cool.........

brigar/MJeff, Pennsylvanians LOOOOOVE their wedding soup (basically what you made, right?) NEVER had it before I moved to Pittsburgh, now it is BY FAR my favorite soup. Jeff, I was waiting for the BBQ to come up. But Hornbrod, I can't believe you gave up that easy on that subject with the world famous Dreamland down there. "Ribs so good make you wanna smack your momma" as they say on the T-shirst there. I had the pleasure of indulging from the original Tuscaloosa location on a college road-trip to see the Bama-Auburn game. I could probably eat BBQ, in all it's variations, every day for the rest of my life. Hmmm, hadn't had lunch yet, time to go!

Why the hell do you want 400 cases of beer? Because he's thirsty.........dummy.

Here, let me wipe that off for you. Much obliged. Whatcha in such a hurry for sheriff? You chasin somebody? Somebody chasin you? Ain't nobody chasing me boy! What is it, bankrobbers? Are they bankrobbers or something? Bank robbers?! Bank robbers??!! Bank robbin's BABY $#!& alongside what this doood's doing!! Almost killed 20 fellow law officers. Got a girl in the car, ain't got permission, that's kidnapping! Took her across state lines, that's a Mann Act!

Gixxer, that's funny. I was trying to decide whether or not to give Hornbrod the I would say that from VA down Yard Bird is arguably left to individual tastes in that the differences are very subtle in the seasoning and the batter. That being said, best I'VE ever had is from the Old Virginia Wayside in Charlottesville, VA. Little joint off of Jefferson Park Ave near the UVa football stadium. And oh my god, the best friggin baked beans ever. The amazing thing about this little place is that on gameday, you've got people piling in there one after the other ordering buckets and sides on top of those who called in large 50 pc. tray orders, and you'll still be out the door in 10 mins. heading to your tailgate. One Saturday this past season I was in there getting a bucket for the game and this guy walks in, stares at the menu board for a minute, then says he'll have the cheeseburger. The lady looks at him in surprise, pauses, and then says, "uh sir, the only thing we cook on gameday is chicken". It's shoulder to shoulder in there and everybody's just kinda snickering and thinking the same thing.......................ROOKIE :thwak:

Came in tonight from cutting grass and working in the yard and, despite the fact I'm in peak physical condition, was hot and thirsty. Popped a BLL+EL and it REALLY went down nice. Not too many beers that I find thirst quenching, but this was. It won't be my regular brew, but at almost 1/2 the price as 'Rona, it will be my "alternative fuel". :brows:

You need to ask? Well.... This is a 44. Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world. It can take your head clean off. You've got to ask yourself one question, Do I feel lucky? Image Not Found But if you must really know, a Marlin 30-30 and a Browning 12ga.

$3.48 reg, +$.10 each grade up, DSL $4.15 Turbo Blue (Cam 2 Racing around here) is 116 screaming octane! You can actually save @$1/gallon if you "drop back" to purple, or 112 octane....woohoo! I used to run this in my MX bike when I raced. I hadn't thought about the comparison of what I paid for race fuel 10-12yrs ago to what reg. UNL is today....................about the same, mid to high $3 range. Wow.

Please clarify about the final 15 secs. Do you set it on "full nuke", "half nuke", or "Barbie Bakery Oven"? I'm writing this down to go in my recipe file. :brows:

Yup, saw where you posted that before. Just remember one problem, it won't even start on a jump now, hence me thinking it's a jump or ground issue...................or ignition. -

It's good and tight and I've sprayed belt conditioner on it several times. Stops or quiets down for maybe 30 mins then comes back. -
SW2, you were reading my mind. And I'm gonna go have one like that right now, with the extra lime. Mexican: XX Dos Equis Special Lager (green bottle) German: echhhh (ok, just haven't had one I like yet) British: Harps Canadian: Moosehead or Labatt's 50 if I can ever get it (rot gut to them LOL) Caribbean: Red Stripe - yeh mon! Dutch: Amstel - what else? (Lite if I'm pounding though, Hiney's good, hate Grolsch) Micro/Regional: Legend or Starr Hill Change of Pace: Mike's Hard Lime, Cranberry, or Green Apple Domestic: Coors Light FYI, in the time it took me to type this up, I knocked out a BL "Extra Lime", might be the little extra it needs. I was worried it might be too much, but it's good. Watching one of my favorite shows too....Deadliest Catch. :beerhead:

Electrical nightmare

Oh absolutely on checking these two items first. Battery is easy, and the skid plate is just a few bolts so getting to the alternator really isn't that bad. Now that I've vented and gotten some feedback I just need to lay my fat @$$ on the ground and start messing with it. Pulling the skid plate will help me clean all the gunk down there anyway. Hell, I'm begging it's as simple as one of those two! My bet is alternator since I've had undiagnosed belt/pulley squeal also. -
the article link has pics of the pea gravel hill climbs too...

I'll check Sensai. I think I'll take some detailed pics to post to get an idea of what's what. I've also started searching for an electrical FSM on ebay and forums. -
Electrical nightmare
WahooSteeler replied to WahooSteeler's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Good to know. I started thinking about that potential project more after my last post. First of all, I'm halfway torn down now. Second of all, I realized how easy it was to get to the halfway point. Where I'm more concerned (ok, more lazy I guess since I am also impatient with stuff like this) is in the engine bay. Overall I think I'm fairly mechanically inclined. When I raced motocross I used to do all the work on the bike myself, top ends, suspension etc., so it's probably more just digging in to it. I just remembered my son has T-ball team pics tonight and I need to cut the grass something fierce, so I probably won't get and diagnostic time tonight. Keep the suggestions coming, I'd rather have the laundry list already filled out so when I start I can just start checking stuff off..... -
Electrical nightmare

I'd be all for replacing the harness, but I'm sure that's a project a little beyond my reach, if not the contents of my tool box at the very least. And considering the amount of time to do that, it's not something I want done at $65/hour either. Plus, I'm leary of grabbing a JY harness, but I'd be willing to follow the general consensus here. I would just worry that after going through all of that the JY harness would crap out too. -

I'll troubleshoot again this evening, but now I'm thinking if I got it to "power up" it was ok when in the "on" position but as soon as I turned to start, it went dead. Again, I'll confirm tonight. Is the ignition module easy to access? Please say yes.......
