U-bolt dimensions needed...........fast
WahooSteeler replied to WahooSteeler's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
thanks johnny c......... -
I've looked on that one too. In fact, there are probably 10 similar sites, and Taz educated me that they are simply dealers looking to "wholesale" parts and/or have substantial surplus inventory, as opposed to a private seller like teamcherokee that picked up surplus and NOS from other dealers. Hence the reason I think it's worthwhile to use Taz as a first attempt in all cases.

True to form for me, I'm scrambling at the last minute to make sure I have everything I need for the Steeler Nation Wrench-a-thon with the Richmond Va chapter this weekend. That being said, can anybody tell me what dimensions my replacement u-bolts need to be for my MT spring packs mounted under a D44? Need the info pretty quick so that I can have some made up and or purchased by the end of the day tomorrow. Hey mjeff87, we should set up a video camera and time lapse it so it looks like a 30 minute episode of Overhaulin at the end of the weekend LOL!

As you all saw on the "introduce yourself" sticky, I am in peak physical condition so working in there should be no worse than my morning 5 mile jogs. ;) -
The Jets said last night that Pennington would be traded or released by 4pm today, so it's done. Favre will be under center at Game 1 even if they have to give him a bag of sand to carry on the field to throw on the ground and draw plays on LOL!

Same here. I hate that type of search set up. Theres a few sites like that and i can never find anything. I'll try to find them later on for you. In the meantime, PM Taz and see if he has access to them. He is our best source (and price!) for factory parts cuz, well, that's what he does, sells parts for a Jeep dealer! If he can't get it, it probably ain't out there anymore. ;)

Great set up! Only one thing, I didn't see a cooler anywhere in there?! :D  -
maddzz, bad experience with teamcherokee? wolfpack, wholesalemopar.com has them in individual pieces whereas you have to buy all the pieces with teamcherokee. fyi, if you need all the pieces, the price works out the same with either supplier. No bad experience. I just think they are very expensive. I have actually bought from them and had a good experience and will again in the future. I may have to break down and atleast get the window wipes as mine are almost non existent on the outside. I'm pretty sure you can buy the individual pieces from team cherokee too. Window wipes were what I was referring to all along, so sorry to you and wolfpack for misunderstanding what he was looking for. I haven't been on teamcherokee in a couple months, but last I checked they did not sell the window wipes individually, so that's why I got mine from wholesalemopar.com, about $15 for each side.

Oh I'm there my friend. Getting more excited every day. I'll PM you for directions and some f/u questions of what I'll need to bring. -
If the MJ is a DD, I'd agree to the overkill, but looks more like it's set up for mostly muddin', therefore I likey.... :D
-
I assume you are talking about the XJ cuz that MJ mudder is awesome.

uhh, i know you were there 10 days, but seems like you made the most of it for sure. congrats on the promotion too. and, i wouldn't exactly call people from Bahston "east coasters", i don't think they would either. over here we call them "northeners", and a few other choice nicknames LOL.

Egggg-zactly! And why? Because every single one of the millions of eBay users out there know IT'S EFFIN RETARDED!

Is there wiring already run for the knee panel speakers? I just spliced into the door speakers wire. I think the dash are just for 4 inch speakers, there is no point in aiming tweeters at your knees. Yeah, as LostIssues said, high frequencies are directional, so the fact they face downward you lose a lot of the effect. The PO had a pair in my truck and you can "hear" the super highs, but it's not the same as it would be if mounted up high. Best bet in that spot if you wanted to do it is a full range speaker to complement your other speakers. You CAN splice them as Mini has done, but as Hornbrod pointed out, check your ohm rating on your deck and your speakers. You should be ok as most speakers are rated for 4-8ohms and most decks run at 4 ohms, so if you paralleled two pairs of 8ohm speakers your ohm load should be ok.

5 1/4" in the doors, 4x6 in the rear, and there is a place on the knee panel of the dash that holds tweeters if you want to go all out

Why do MJ owners switch the front clip?
WahooSteeler replied to mknherhappy's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
hmmmmmmmmm That blue MJ would look pretty damn nice if it didn't have 1" tubes for the friggin rollbar. And it needs to be black. Gotta say though, those turbine wheels never lose their appeal. -

The 2500 front ends are worth 40+ HP instead of 30+ because of the extra scalerotryanmics :D -
cdub is right, and if you add about another $10 to your budget, you can get a nice set of pioneer's at wal-mart, ebay, or 100 different places online.

Jeepco, if you're not interested, don't post. The thread was asking who would be interested in playing, not "give me your opinions of FF". sometimes your negativity is quite annoying. no offense. :headpop:

yeah, if you are a football fan it is a lot of fun and easy. i'm surprised more guys haven't raised their hand.
