    ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! :brows:
  3. Some interesting experiments going on here. I'm hoping this thread continues because I think it could be very helpful to the rattle can enthusiasts and for general knowledge of the budget paint job. Good stuff IMO...........
  4. JohnQ, did you snag that bumper/hitch?
  5. nah, didn't think about that! not good huh?
  6. Hey, the Lions are gonna make the Bengals look like idiots for releasing Rudi Johnson. You can't tell me that guy doesn't still have some good years left in him.
  7. Looking good Jeff! I still may be able to give you a hand Sunday morning for a few hours after the race this weekend. I'll be in touch!
  8. I also forgot to ask, with 32-11 fitty's, how much tire will extend beyond the flares? I like the tucked under look, but I doubt this size will be entirely tucked under.
  9. Don, you had mentioned earlier on my Canyons vs. Ravines thread that they have different offsets and that tires mounted on Canyons, i.e. the 31s or 32s I will be doing, rub on the inside of the rear wheel well. I know you and Brent said 32s should be no problem, but I'm just making sure if that holds true if those tires are on my Canyons. Would be good to know because I think I may have found a set for cheap and still a lot of tread. :brows:
  10. I know the heads to them are 13 MM... and a PITA to change any idea on the diameter and pitch? thanks pong
  11. Gosh I hope so Chico! :D  Chico-phoo-when-TAY! I think we've solved your "running hot" problem :rotfl2:
  12. those are pretty pricey aren't they? go to cnet.com, consumersearch.com, and photographyreview.com, that should give you more than enough info. i like consumersearch.com because it basically reads all the reviews out there for you and consolidates the overall rankings
  13. Can you film the whole "mother nature" part of it and then time lapse it for us into, like, a cool 30 second video or something? Otherwise, don't even bother doing it. :D .............just kidding ya know :brows:
  14. I guess he didn't get many offers on his Craigslist post for $7k! :D http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopi ... light=cool Funny how the extra pictures on ebay tell the story a little better, i.e. pretty cool truck but not quite the cherry it looked like on Craigslist. Still, I predict it goes for $4k+ on fleabay. IMO, that camo one is cool as hell looking too!
  15. This might be a crazy idea, but with all the rattle-can paint jobs going on lately, and with CW's clear coat shrinkage, has anybody considered doing a rattle-can job but then having a shop shoot the clear?
  16. that's what straps and proper tie-downs are for. now you're gonna tell me that they don't want to inconvenience themselves time-wise   Well now that you mention it Pat, yeah I will tell you it's an inconvenience, in every way. You don't think it's inconvenient to have to tie down ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING you put in your bed??!! like a tool box, or a chain saw, or simple garden tools? Pain in the @$$! Period.
  17. I for one absolutely HATE drop-in plastic bedliners. They warp, crud gets under there and promotes rust even faster, and anything that can slide on it will.....a lot. Annoying. Definitely talking spray-in, roll-in, paint-in etc. here. Now, mine came with the sweet factory rubber mat, which I will probably put back in, if for any reason because it says Jeep on it. But it has the raised, hard "feet" all over the bottom of it that keeps it from just laying pressed against the metal, so it has done a great job because when you pull mine up the floor is perfect. But, my PO also ran a cap on there most of the time too. ;)
  18. Orca, did you roll that on?
  19. Deziped, very nice looking and a good price. Thanks, I'll look them up.
  20. Instead of starting a whole new thread, I thought I'd revive this one to get more input on pricing and any problems encountered. Wade1 and Wade2, did either of you ever get yours done? What brand and how much? Yesterday I the local Rhino guy quoted me $450 for over-the-rail on my long bed. And that was after he "gave me a good deal". Also, he said at that price he could not accept the $25 coupon you can get on Rhino's site. Seemed pretty high to me. I think I could get him to $400 no problem, maybe lower. I didn't try to negotiate yesterday though since it will probably be a few months. Anybody had theirs done by Speedliner?
  21. THAT'S what I wanted to hear. Thanks Don!
  22. looking for the bolt size to the lower front shock mounts
  23. I'm running 15x8 Canyons from a TJ right now, only thing I'd likely change to is Ravines, maybe MT Classic Locks down the road. Not worried about flex, truck will be 95% road time and yard work, 5% light trail use and some muddin.
  24. Since the only 32x10.50s I've found are Super Swampers or similar and I just want a nice A/T, with 3" of lift and WJ curved LCA's, can I run 32x11.50s without any trouble? Thanks........
