We might need the commissioner to fix his lineup for competitive purposes. :brows:
-
Damn right! Nah, just mad I got beat because there would be 4-way tie for first place!!!
-
$2.32 today, another 5 cents down. FYI, the market is up strong today, almost 600 points to @8700.
-
It's yours! JT, WTF are you gonna do with a hitch on a lowrider? I think I should get it!
-
Yeah, seems like a lot of people have bailed. Not as fun when your opponent has three guys out on bye and he didn't change his lineup. I thought I was in good shape last night w/Reggie Wayne left to get me 15 pts. Friggin Titans D is tough man. Plus, Stephen Jackson was game-time decision and held out because of injury and I was out of the house so I couldn't make a change. Wouldn't have mattered, Dunn and McLain didn't do anything.

Damn! Yeah, Raceway, Hess, and Sheetz here on Broad St./Rte.250 all within 1 mile of each other in a little penny war. $2.36 today, should go down again tomorrow.

swapping 4.0 into a 2.5 comanche
WahooSteeler replied to 603Redneck's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
MJeff87 just finished his a couple of weeks ago. Go to Projects and look at his thread "2.5 to 4.0 swap". Very well documented. **Edit: oops, sorry PingPong, didn't see your post. Should have known you'd be on that being it was your 4.0 he used! :dunce: -

I've been with Dish Network for 10 yrs and love them. James, how old is your equipment and is it owned or leased? I assume it is owned, but when they went to the dual LNB dish's, i.e. the Dish500, if you upgraded to that you got new equipment. Regardless, you can go on eBay and by newer receivers and even the Dish500 dish if you don't have it for @$300. And I'm talking a current model DVR. Hell, you can get a base level 301 receiver for $50 and you own it. That being said, I bet if you did that then you could turn around and do the DVR upgrade through Dish for $25. Anyway, I believe you that someone told you it would be $700 in upgrades, but I don't believe they knew what they were talking about or that there is not another way to do it. One other reason I say that. I bought, not leased, a 721 DVR receiver a few years ago, one of the early DVR's. Got a letter a few weeks ago saying they were replacing it free of charge with a newer version because the technology was about to go out of date.

AMC20's are prized possesions and an excellent axle.

24hrs later, $2.39. I'm telling you, if the gov't wants an economic stimulus, wait til gas gets to $1.99, people will start spending again.
-
I like the 32's BECAUSE not many people want this tire. And as I've been told and will soon find out after I pick up a set of 32s I found, you can run them on a 3" lift if flex is not a high priority.

$2.43 as of this a.m. here in da 'Boro.

anyone know where to find the metric ton badging
WahooSteeler replied to Lewt2007's topic in The Pub
Thanks Timmaay!!!! Yeah, if you take a pic of it outside maybe standing by the right rear tire. But screw the sticker dude, what's the story of your truck because it looks like it just drove of the friggin showroom floor! Man that thing is spotless.   -
LOL, yeah, another worthless Wahoo rant about something that has absolutely no relevance to ANYTHING going on in the world today. But it felt good none-the-less LOL. Who knows, maybe somehow this tiny little message in a bottle will come face to face with either the person who wrote the ad or the Jeep Exec dork that approved it. And if so, I hope they are a least smart enough to get what I want to tell them: "You are EFFING STUPID!!" :thwak: :rotfl2:

AHA! I just saw this member post in another thread, he's Timmayy!! Love that screen name, just fun to say. Anyway, here is a link to his avatar that I mentioned earlier. When I first saw it, it looked like it was on a black tailgate. But looking again, it looks like it's on glass with the flash reflecting making it hard to see through the glass. http://comancheclub.com/forums/profile. ... ile&u=8943 -
A few thoughts. Didn't they offer a bench with headrests? Because that tan one with the family of 3 is an XLS, so if I'm correct that they did offer that, it would be on that model which was the highest trim level in '86. However, now that I think about it, they were those little ones, not the big cushy ones like in the pic. Oh well. I like the Erik Estrada look of the dude in the leather vest and cowboy hat standing by himself with the red XLS. Like Chester Cheetah says, "it ain't easy being cheesy". Dig the Eagle Wagon near the end of the brochure with the full Jeep fleet pictued. What a POS...........ahead of its time, but a POS regardless. One of you pointed out that they marketed to the masses with that being a "cutting edge" approach for a pickup in the mid-80's. I basically agree, but as a mid-size truck built on a quasi-car like platform with a small displacement (borrowed) V6 as it's biggest engine, they knew they couldn't just market it as a big ole macho truck. That being said, I have always been struck by one thing every time I see an ad for the 86's since they were new to the market that year. The text for the front cover says: "There's a new truck on the road. It's called Comanche. It's built by Jeep. It's worth a look." It's worth a look? Are you kidding me???!! Boy, that would have made me all fired up to go check one out. Doesn't exactly sound like Jeep was all that confident in it. "Hey, we know there are a lot of mid-size trucks already out there, but ours is at least worth a look." Sheez, some real marketing geniuses put their heads together on that one. And what about the dumbASS Jeep exec that signed off on using such a powerful statement. What a hook it has!! You really hit a hot button with that one!! I mean, in the few minutes I've been typing this, I've come up with at least 3-5 other lines that are 1000 times better than that soft sell. 1. Don't say anything there at all. Just end it with "It's built by Jeep". This would have been best IMO. 2. "Any questions?" For the mentally impaired who don't complete the thought they want you to if they just ended it with "It's built by Jeep." 3. "Enough Said." Same as above. 4. "Need we say more?" Same as above. 5. "That's right, it's a Jeep." Just an exclamation point to #1. Think about it. Jeep. Jeep! Friggin Jeep!!! You've got, even in 1986 (especially in 1986 or before!) easily one of the top 5 brands IN THE WORLD!. Behind Coca-Cola and maybe McDonald's, what other brand could you go to literally any part of the WORLD and have probably 80% or more of the people say they know what it is??? Ok, I'm done.

Have to disagree there... My land is worth about $50K and is only .17 acre...(less than a quarter of an acre). The house & land where just recently appraised at $110,000 which is an increase of $35,000 from the previous appraisal done 8 years ago. It was valued at $58,000 in 1985 at the time of original purchase and has been on this land since 1978 when the original owners put it here. It all depends on how they are set up and cared for, but they can actually appreciate in the right situation. But Taz, yours is effectively a modular home, or double-wide as you call it, and they DO tend to appreciate as you have shown and as I said earlier. Standard or "single-wide" units historically do not appreciate on their own, again, usually only the land does. And an 1/8 acre lot as you have is a very common size for a similar 1000-1800 sq.ft. stick built home which helps make the public's "acceptance" of it as a comparable home choice to stick built and therefore has a demand for it on the resale market.

anyone know where to find the metric ton badging
WahooSteeler replied to Lewt2007's topic in The Pub
Oh, ok, I thought someone said the "factory location" was on the tailgate somewhere. I ASSumed the photo C-Dub posted was a picture of the sticker but not necessarily in the factory spec'd location. C-Dub, I saw it but as I pointed out to Hornbrod above I thought that was put on "post production" by somebody. So Big Ton stickers were lower right rear glass, Metric Tonne stickers were lower right tailgate. Got it. -
Should my overflow tank be "boiling"
WahooSteeler replied to SuperWade2's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Wade, I had this same problem to a tee not too long ago. Two issues were identified: my coolant was too low. when cooled off, the puke tank was still empty. You've already said your fluid was bubbling away in there, so scratch that. Second issue: cap on puke tank, while it felt tight, was loose enough to hiss. I gently tightened it until hissing stopped. that alone brought my temp down a good bit, and i did this before i started adding coolant. -
