i don't know, looking now it seems pretty real. i've never spent much time photoshopping, but that seems like it'd be a lot of work. i think the 2nd photo was just ironically perfect timing to catch it while flying perfectly level. the nose dive in the water seems real to me. and that weird vertical stripe when you posted it the first time? it's in all 3 in the same place, so i think it's on the lens. :dunno:

So this morning I got up, well, not this morning, but a couple hours ago LOL, and ran to Sheetz for some coffee, donuts, breakfast sammy and Sunday paper. I was excited the game is finally here today, so I donned my #51 Farrior white road jersey (and they're wearing white today....cool), my Steelers hat, and proudly displayed my allegiance. We don't have any great plans for the day, so I started thinking about what the rest of you have planned. So I'll start.... Weather Report = 50's, sunny and clear (NICE day here today) Location = my house Guests = maybe my parents, my mother n law and sister n law (they've been invited at least LOL) Menu = fajitas, wings, perogies, pizza rolls, chips/salsa, chips/dip, some other last minute crap I'm sure, soda, Rolling Rock! Prediction = Cards 14-10 halftime, STEELERS 27-17 FINAL

elimantor 4x4, haven't seen too many of those. get it, park it, get to it when you can. if the deal is really good, worst case you could probably get out of it for what you got in it, i.e. no loss.

88 Comanche going to 3.2L turbo diesel
WahooSteeler replied to justinquilliam's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Good to know! I've always liked the uniqueness of the Scout pickups. What is the factory name again? Carryall or something? Or was that their Suburban? I've got an older friend who has 64? regular Scout with the 1/2 cab, and I think and I might be able to wrestle it away from him in a few years :brows: **Justin, sorry for the highjack, so back to your killer build project. -
Looking at becoming a Comanche owner
WahooSteeler replied to 87Warrior's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Unfortunately a D44 rear does not guarantee you the Metric Ton package. D44s were also put on if it had the factory tow package, which could be had w/out having the MT pkg. Easiest way to tell if you have the MT package is by looking at the spring packs. 4 leaf = STD payload of 1500lbs, 5 leaf = Metric, or "Big" Ton pkg, 2205lb payload. -
Circuit City is going out of business good deals to be had
WahooSteeler replied to wolfpackjeeper's topic in The Pub
a lot of the people working those stores now are not circuit city employees, they work for the liquidating companies that have been brought it. so, a little easier for them to be nice and friendly. most industry experts have said CC's downfall was that they were too slow to change after Best Buy snuck up on them. -
My Super Bowl Snack... I think I'm gonna try this...
WahooSteeler replied to SuperWade2's topic in The Pub

it actually shouldn't be that hard to identify. 97+ front end with Turbine wheels and Jersey plates. It's not like there are a lot of those out there, ya know?
-
cool, just wanted to know what your thoughts were. i'll sit on it for a week or two as it sounds like you'd take it once you know your budget etc. on things. i've never posted it for sale before so it can wait. i bought it to get the tire but had to buy the whole thing. just trying to get a little money back out of it. PM me when you know.

Oh, it's cool as hell, but definitely chopped and shopped baby! I saw that line too in the middle too. It almost looks like the mud was actually thrown on an actual photo or something weird.
-
#1, where did you get that? Although it looks cool as hell, it's gotta be photoshopped. Not enough droop in the rear axle, and hard to believe it would fly that level that far off the ground. And what the hell is on it's windshield? A turkey or something? :hmm: :dunno:

88 Comanche going to 3.2L turbo diesel
WahooSteeler replied to justinquilliam's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
That scout is definately what I would consider "RARE". Especially considering most rusted away to nothing in a few short yrs. That and the Diesel option was rare in its own right.. not too many were built. Plus it has the truck cab on it instead of the long topper. Only thing I have to say is fully boxed frame with a d44 front and rear.. and it would make an awesome start to a buggy/truggy. As long as you kept the weight down :rotfl2: Damn Pong, can't you leave anything on 4 wheels in even it's semi-natural state w/out turning it into a a truggy? There was one of those Scout pickups for sale near here recently that had been fixed/cleanued up nicely. Didn't see it in person, but looked nice in the Trader. Sky blue with white top, 33's on chrome wheels, 360 V8, I think they were asking $11k for it though LOL. -
MJ Wheel Stance WITH PICS WAHOO!
WahooSteeler replied to HOrnbrod's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Don, since this whole mod was to satisfy ME, I need you to take a shot from the front looking back. LOL, seriously though, that would be a nice shot to see as it might help answer this question. IYO, are the rears now square with the front or are they a little wider? Or, are they still a little inboard? I'm sure you have nothing to do today, so get to it please. (You know I'm kidding, right?) -

WahooSteeler replied to justinquilliam's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Very cool project & very ambitious, but looks quite clear that you have the skills! I couldn't do all that, that's for sure LOL. Like Pong, I am curious what you are going to do with the scout? Were there other major issues with it? Seems like that could have been a pretty cool rig on its own, certainly what I would consider "rare". -

Stock/Factory Overload or Helper springs?
WahooSteeler replied to phenryiv1's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Hey Tom, do you have a AAL product for him? I know Taz and some others who have your spring packs are very happy with them, I didn't know if you offer a long AAL. Nothing against Rough Country, I just think it would be cool if phenry had the option to patronize a member here, especially since you are so low key about who you are and what you do.
