chicofuentes0224 replied to rubiconron's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I put the sensa tracks on mine two days ago. Stock height. Went from riding like a Model T to a Cadillac. Well almost. :D -

Man , I love the people on this sight! -
Hey kids, after getting a $500 quote to weld my door hinge on my truck I've decided to just go buy a stinkin welder and learn to do it myself. Anybody have any suggestions or opinions on what brand/type/power rating :dunno: to buy. I'll probably use it on other projects for my pizza shop and truck so we are going for quality and reliability here. Not cheapest piece of crap on the market that won't last more than a year. Never done this before so any and all help is and would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Oh for the love of god hornbrod, couldn't you have posted that up earlier. I ripped apart 3 Tachs cutting a straight freakin line. Where did you get that? -
air filter problem.

I don't know what you mean by seat. They both fit in the holes, they just don't stop oil from coming out of where rubber meets metal. Hence the RTV. -
Still leaking OIL
chicofuentes0224 replied to rubiconron's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
How about the oil return passage in the head? (Maybe blocked) By the way Ron, let us know if the 99 VC helps at all. Good luck -

I remember Eagle saying you should only go about 3 to 3.5 inches more.10.5 I think your good. 11.5 I think you rub the LCA on tight turns. -
air filter problem.

Right. Pete I think you should basically put this post in the DYI forum and some how edit the title a bit. I'm sure every new owner including me has had this problem and the same topic will continue to come up as long as long as new members keep joining the club. The only thing I have to add is that I bought all those parts from NAPPA for about $50. I'll post up the part #'s tomorrow. However I'd like to note that the grommet for the valve cover do not seal properly with the NAPPA parts and used superglue  that lasted a short time and will use a high temp RTV when I clean out the valve cover. MAybe the MOPAR parts are better quality :dunno: -
MJ's with Gambler Rim? **Update ** Tell me what you think!

Just replaced my CPS...
chicofuentes0224 replied to 2wdcomanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I refused to do it because of the horror stories on this forum. I had a mechanic do it, but watched him. It took him 35 minutes and a whole lotta cussin. However I did notice that to make things easier he disconnected the shift linkage to be able to put his whole hand up there. -
Still leaking OIL
chicofuentes0224 replied to rubiconron's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Ron and Banshee. Have you guys done a compression test yet? It might be that your rings are just shot and there is no solving the problem. However after going through about 25 threads on the ccv subject I think you guys can do three things. #1 Ron I bought all my lines and grommets at NAPA too. However I'm still leaking oil out of the rear grommet on the VC, which I suppose is absolutely ruining my vacum to the intake. This might be your problem. I'm going to try some high temp RTV around the grommet in the back and see if this stops the leak. (The Nappa part might just be crap. Mine said made in China) #2 You guys can do like Pete did and run a rubber hose from the front of the VC to a "catch container" and then another rubber hose from the catch container to the back of the air box. #3 About 500 threads ago there is a dicussion on using "Restore" to fill some of the gaps in your cylinder walls and restore some compression in your engine alleviating some of your blowby issues. Ps: Sorry if I offended any Chinamen. -
My sales rep has had one for a long time. It had about 250,000 miles on it and the engine blew up because Jiffy Lube didn't tighten the drainplug when they did the oil change and the warning light never came on. They paid him for a rebuilt engine and he still drives it. He's over 300,000 miles now.

The PO Painted the bed without removing the flairs, so now the paint is peeling off where the flairs meet the body. Before I go ripping off unnecessary parts, can anyone tell me how many screws hold the flare on or does anyone have any special advice or tips on removing the flares. On a second related note. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to sand with, primer, and paint in a spray can? Thanks in advance :D PS. Where do you guys buy POR 15? Here's a pic of the paint peeling on the flair.

With the back of the truck higher than the front. Start the engine and let it heat up some. Unscrew the temperature sender located on the driver's side of the head close to the valvecover gasket ( somebody ad a picture please.) when the air bubbles stop coming out and you only get coolant screw the sensor back in . Your done.

anyone else seem to have a problem with naxja?
chicofuentes0224 replied to JeepcoMJ's topic in The Pub
You know, in the last four weeks we seem to have begun to see a reaccuring problem in this forum. I think everyone has forgotten rule # 1 in the Tech section. For those who don't remember or just never looked at the rules I will remind you. RULE # 1: BE FRIENDLY :D -
Another fan question (non-electric)
chicofuentes0224 replied to A-man930's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
No, I think they are always on. They just get faster as the revolutions get higher. -
Wow. Worth to me $2000 What you should pay? Check kelleybluebook.com,punch in all the numbers and options and offer him whatever the price for a person to person transaction on a vehicle in fair condition or lower.

OK, fine. Sorry guys, I JUST GOT BACK from Mars and will get JohnQ's and highdesserts ghey PORN videos out as soon as possible. J/K :D Anyway, this post is now getting long and boring so let's just drop it until the OP decides what to do. Either the guy (or girl because we have like 3 girls in the club) is busy, sick, dead, a deadbeat ripoff artist, thief, or maybe his internet connection just got cut off because he didn't pay the bill. Anyway highdessert. Just post who it is because if something happened to the poor guy maybe someone here knows him and can help both of you in this situation. Just my .02 PS Sorry if I offended anyone who is ghey.

Wade you 're ridiculous. As a fellow Wisconsinite you are definitely not able to bid any higher than $150! King JEepCo would be highly upset! J/K :D Anyway LOCO In Harrisburg I paid $2000 for a stock Comanche that had everything with it supposedly fixed. Yeah right! I overpaid but with all you got and everything put on you should easy see $3000 in our area. And if you decide to get rid of some parts let me know. :D

Hey aka, I need a fuel sending unit for a 1988 MJ. It has to be for fuel injected, 18 or 23.5 gallon tank. I don't need the pump or the lock ring for the tank, just the sending unit in working condition. PM if ya got one. Thanks!

Looks exactly like the same ad, so maybe the last winner never paid or picked it up. That did go for a ridiculous price didn't it?
