That's wierd, I punched it into my GPS and nothing comes up for Dunmore, PA. I keep getting either Scranton with a differnt area code or Dickson City, PA 18512. Is it close to either of these? It's telling me I'm 131 miles from 18512.

I actually check back every couple weeks just to see how things are, just never have any silly stories or positive info to contribute. Plus for a while it seemed like everyone was at each other's throats with the "he said she said crap" and it was getting annoying. Seems to have calmed down a bit though. I finally got the axle stub put back together last October and after staring at the Comanche for 15 months I'm gonna work on putting her back on the road. Problem is I let the inspection and registration run out, all the fluids need rechanged, tires have flat spots from sitting too long, battery is unchargeable, and worst of all.... THE DANG REARVIEW MIRROR SOMEHOW JUST FELL OFF!!!!!!!! :rotfl2: Seriously though, besides the alien abduction, communistic threat I've been fighting off, and my schedule at work it's been tuff to keep up with you guys and the truck. Mine's a Renix. Had the same problem since I bought it. Changed every sensor there was. No change. One day cleaned up the ground at the block and firewall. Added a ground from the negative terminal on the battery to the inner fender. Truck starts faster than both my rice burners now. Well, at least it did the last time I started it in November of 2008. Battery is now completely dead. If I let it charge for a couple hours it starts right up again with no hesitation. That's with an old starter, dead battery and year old gas in the tank. Not sure if this would help since it's an HO but you could try.

Did you test the CPS to check it wasn't faulty? I remember Wildman posting up to look at "lungd something" to find the test to check it. Not sure if that's correct. You're gonna have to run a search to find it. Just an idea.

Yeah, no, I went thru this problem a while ago. Nobody has a new carrier/sending unit as far as I know even though everyone will try to tell you they are the same for the XJ/MJ. (They are not.) IIRC Dr. Thunder modified one but I can't remember how. You'll have to search the forum for it, and I don't think he ever made a write up. Also if IIRC Wildman has a write-up on how to refurbish the senders and I even think he'll send you a rebuilt one. Sorry If I'm wrong about that being you Wildman. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Or you could post up a WTB ad in the classifieds for the correct sender (hopefully in good condition) and just buy the actual pump new from the store.

Nope, I'm pretty sure this one was my own stupidity. I knew my caliper was sticking a bit, but I had a cheese emergency and had to deliver a little bit under 1/2 a ton of mozzarella to an account 40 minutes away and had no way of jamming that much cheese into the back of my corolla. I keep trying to tell my boss that he needs to pay for at least parts, but the guy just keeps cussing at me in Sicilian and slapping me in the back of the head.

It's been sitting so long I can't even do aemsee's trick because the battery is so dead I can't even get it to start to do it :rotfl2: By the way, thanks for the tip aemsee :thumbsup:

I say give the vinegar a try. Whaddya have to lose? I will, definitely, but I was being serious. Red Wine Vinegar or White vinegar?

Did you replace with new, OEM spec? After installation, have you verified that everything actually works? Some t-stats have been known to come defective from the factory. Does your WP spin the right direction? I've had numerous people tell me to run vinegar in the system for a day or two to help dissolve any blockages. Maybe you have some blockages inside the block? Just about everything came from Brent's dealer. I changed the T-stat out 2 or 3 times. WP is the correct one. Never heard of the vinegar thing. Red wine or white :rotfl2: I wouldn't doubt the blockage issue. The engine has over 220,000 with probably a horrible maintence record from the PO's. I gave up on trying to get it to run perfectly. I'll just wait to put a new used engine it. Sorry for the hi-jack OP.
