  1. Thanks for the replies guys. As far as usage, the farthest this truck has been off road is running over the curb in my front yard, once. IIRC this one came from NAPA. I have to check my reciepts to make sure. I'd really like to never have to change it again. Usually I'd get it from Brent but the bastard decided on a career change :rotfl2: Any suggestions on an excellent quality one I can get so I don't have to replace it again in another year? Oh, and can I just replace this one side with a heftier one for right now or will I have to do both at the same time?
  2. I changed absolutely everything that had to do with the cooling system and nothing ever made a difference. I even used that bottle from macs. I never overheated but ran hot constantly. Only thing that ever kept the temp down was putting the aux fan on a switch and runnning the HVAC on high, hot or cool to keep the fluid moving. That keeps it at 210 now or close. That water wetter never made a difference in mine.
  3. Hey guys, some questions. What's the official name of this part? It's the smaller shaft closer to the hub. The u-joint is kaputz. It was only a year old. Should I get a better one from somewhere special, or will the local auto parts store carry a good replacement? If you look at the next pic you'll see how it went to crap and ruined that shaft by making the hole an oval instead of a circle. Last, it was a pain to get the hub off the knuckle. It took me a good hour with PB Blaster and wedging a pick between the two with a hammer to get it off. If I have to do the other side, does anyone know of a better way without ruining the hub and destroying the dust shield.
  4. That happened to me a while back. It was a new balancer I bought off E-Bay. (Made in China). It would make a horrible noise like something in the bottom end of the engine was going. Replaced it with an OEM (Made in the USA, and I think Brent got it for me.), one and never had the problem again. Here's the thread on it a while back. Somewhere in there is a video of the noise it was making. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11865
  5. I thought the whole point of text messaging was that NOTHING uses more than four letters. If u cnt say it in 4 ltrs it dsnt cnt. Seriously, everyone mark this date on the calendar. The Big E has made a funny!!!!!!! :clapping:

  7. I would agree with that. It's just like clothes on short fat people (me), don't wear horizontal stripes! :clapping: Wait, you're fat? I thought that was the blowfishes fault. I like the green.
  8. Spelling is automatically and continuously checked in Firefox. :D (I sometimes have to tell it where new text boxes are, but it's very good at remembering after that) So there's no way to do it with IE?
  9. GREAT JOB
  10. I'm sorry, but where is the spellcheck button?
  11. Si, so you know my cousin John. I would have given my number but my service got disconnected. Can't afford it anymore due to the economy :wall:
  12. Listen, Just do what I did and release the e-brake, wait till you here the UPS guy coming down the road, and forcefully push the sucker out into the middle of the street at the exact time the brown guy rolls thru. Or just call your local JY and have them pick it up and crush it. And then while your at it........... Sell your wife to the Russians for that mail-order bride program they have, Trade the twins to the Chinese Triads for some drugs, Give that wierd looking dog you have back to the pound, AND BURN THAT BLOODY ASTRO TURF IN YOUR YARD. not that I'm jealous that it looks much nicer than my weed infested lawn. But it if you decide to sell it extremely cheap, my number is 555-555-1234.

  18. What's wrong with aliens :hmm:
  19. Nope, I'd love one. My neighbors might complain though.
  20. Did you check it with a laser thermometer?
  21. Absolutely nothing to do with this thread, but I know Wahoo will enjoy.
  22. I disagree. Though it might not solve the OP's problem I think anything being wrong with any ground wire on these trucks affect it. Changing one ground on mine made a huge difference.
  23.
  24. My VW used to due that. It was the idle stepper motor. (I think that's what it's called). It's the one next to the TPS. on the throttle body.
  25. M, I had to do this when I replaced my dash and engine harness due to a electrical fire. If nobody has replied by tonight I'll start taking pictures and notes of what I did. It was a real pain to get everything to work right but I somehow figured it out. I'll get back to you 2 nite.
