  2. Can someone tell me if the e-brake has some sort of spring to pull the peddle back up. I was under the dash today and saw a spring on the clutch peddle(Does the clutch use a spring to return the peddle back?) so I used it on the e-brake. It works but I know it's not what is spose to be there. Does the spring at the split under the truck do the pulling back? Can someone please post me a picture of there e-brake,clutch peddle?? One more thing I know theres a rubber bumper that keeps the e-brake from slamming back up, but it is missing too, Anybody have a extra or know of another one that will fit???
  3. Thanks, I will try again to find it.
  4. One more thing I did check the tre's and ball joints, There is just a little play in the front hub's. It's a 89 2wd
  5. I have alot of play in my steering and need to adjust the steering box. I know it has a lock nut over a shaft that uses a allen key to turn. I need to know what specs I need to turn the shaft. What are the procedures to adjust it? Thanks,,,,,jt

  7. So if any of yous had to write cliffnotes on what all is needed for this swap it would be something I might have to search for at the yard. And, I'd be really thankful.
  8. don't be mistaken... that's no ordinary smart-car, although i forget what they swapped in there, someone was tellin me about that same exact video the other day. some ridiculous engine in it. yeah it has a zookie gsxr1000 engine in it,,,..... still would be fun as hell to drive!!

  10. Did you find a good source of parts around Greenville? I live about 20 mins from Spartanburg so about a hour and 1/2 from Greenville.
  11. Can a dana 300 fit behind 89 4.0L 5spd?
  12. A hemi.... what else???
  13. Not only that but with my s-10 Blazer thats been sitting for only 4 or 5 years has been eating by rats, squirrels, or worse MONKEYS!! I can't believe an animal would eat metal or fiberglass.. No one is safe anymore..
  14. If you're keeping the same engine and trans, you'll just need to pick up your truck's year pilot bearing. Since you're dropping the tranny anyway, it's a good idea to replace the pilot bearing. You may need a pilot bearing removal tool (the auto parts stores around me loan them out). I have ran into this problem before on a mazda. The pilot bearing just wouldn't break free for crap. What I did was found a bolt that fit inside the bearing ID and filled the back side full of grease. Stuck the bolt in the hole and smacked it with a hammer. The grease forced the bearing out with one pop. the great thing about it was the bearing stayed on the bolt and gave a lil leverage pull it on out. Just a quick tip when you can run to the parts store.
  15. I took a closer look today and went ahead and measured it. Good call, your exactly right it's .150" larger. I'm just going to swap the pulley; should be good to go. I am going to check the price of copper around here too, might be worth it to drop it off for a few dollars.
  16. Looks like a great place to wheel and ride. How far are you from Ft. Irwin and Death Vally?
  17. Too bad this site doesn't offer a rep button because thats a great picture you posted.
  18. +2 I'd like to see the outcome!
  19. 28 " Wheels!!??!!??!! Your truck is going to look like a bis a$$ roller skate! You need to call pimp my ride and have them do it for free! BIG DADDY PIMPING!!! 8)
  20. OK, Finally went and pulled a alt. off my 92 s-10 blazer with a 4.3L. And its a match!! Well kinda........ I had to remove the pulley and fan, the 3 little 12 point bolts, then lift the front casing off and twist it 180* to match the jeeps. everything matches even the pulley....... most of yous probably already knew this but .......... here's some pictures...... The one on the right is the jeeps... Image Not Found Image Not Found
  21. Do you have fuel pressure?
  22. Well,,, I don't know if any of those parts on the xj are as good as mine.. When I started stripping it today it seems like this thing has been sitting for a long while now. Alot of the vacuum lines were real brittle, cracking, and ripping... The dash looks good, but it still is missing some things. The xj is sitting with only one wheel on the left rear so I really didn't get to crawl up under it.. I really got discouraged today when I got a real good up-close look at the whole thing. I'd hate to buy the xj (the guy said he'd take 300 for the whole thing) And find out the tranny is shot and the engine is locked up.... I guess I'll take the risk and get it.. Its going to need alot of work replacing lines, hoses, seals, ect.. to make it into my MJ... Even the alt I pulled off didn't work,,, but in light to that when I talked to the guy at Advanced It is the same alt as a GM You just have to swap the pulley's and front casing because it is C#*@ at a different angle. I'm going to set the two alt's up side by side and see if I can pull any tricks...
  23. yeah with the price of platinum now days I seriously doubt theres all that much in those plugs.
  24. One more thing I forgot to add about the XJ... It has AC and the MJ doesn't. Will all that swap also? I know I'll have to get the condenser, climate control unit, pump, lines, heater box, dryer, and all that stuff, but I wouldn't mind putting in a little work for AC, and since I'm going to replace the dash anyways why not swap it all.........?? J- Just E- Empty E- Every P- Pocket Sounds about right... :papers:
  25. Goto Comanche Club Image Hosting and get you an account. Upload your pictures on photo bucket and copy the IMG Code under the picture you want to add on your thread. (you'll see it under your newly uploaded picture) I always resize my pictures to web large before I upload too. That way it keeps the thread from getting all crazy big, so it fits good. Before you download to photo bucket. Just snap your picture, plug your camera in to the computer, open your camera file, click on the picture you want to see, goto edit picture( on top tool bar to the far right), click resize (second from the bottom), theres a pulldown box on the right that says Predefined width and hight click the arrow on the side and select Web-Large, click ok, then under file click save.
