jesus, that was fast!! OK so the switch on the clutch is for cruse?
-
?? You can start your trucks without the clutch??
-
OK looking at the engine bay on this hunk,,, I was thinkin that it might look 100% better with a wire and vac hose tuck.. What you think? It looks very doable.... Just all the vac lines and loom running everywhere looks kinda like poo. Just an idea.

I have a 89 4.0 5spd 2wd. Did the 89's have a clutch cancel start? Just making sure, cause I can crank her without clutch... I don't think I should be able to.

how does the hood light turn on?
jtdesigns replied to jtdesigns's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Really! Wildman said that it might be a mercury switch... Kinda one of those things that make you say hummm. Well at least it works for me! :D -
Just a question I was thinking about.... Does neone have a pic?

I polished the clear cover last night, and want to wipe the gauge faces down. I was wondering if it mattered where the needles were on the small gauges. It seems on most of the clusters I've seen selling on ebay, the small gauges were in random spots in measurement. Would it hurt to move the needle around by hand to clean them? And another thing, the warning lights on the left side, the cover looks faded and ashy (no better way to explain it) what can I do to make it look better? I was also thinking to seal the unit (the gray bezel on the housing and then the clear cover sealed to the bezel) any ideas? Thanks guys,,,,jt

I swear that part is the same off 4x4 s-10 blazers. I'd have to double check the blazers but they look identical.
-
Unless you are doing an "original" restoration, you can simply use some Vis-Clean or any other heavy mil. plastic as a barrier. Yeah I have done that before but it never was as good as factory. What would you use to keep it stuck there?
-
Cool, I didn't know what type of drive that thing used.. You know I didn't get to involved today but I do remember seeing a rubber hose at the bottom of the door.. First thought was it belonged to a drain or something. The track works fine, but I'll keep that you have one in mind. Thanks for the help!

opps....... I guess I should of practiced more ummm.. restraint... ok good,,, I was hoping it wasn't a big deal.. off the top you know what size bolts you use ?? One more thing, is there a track the extra chain drive stores in while the window is down???
-
Has ne one ever drilled the rivets out of their door panels that hold the window regulator in? I was wondering this because when I roll my window down I hear what sounds like the extra part of the chain/cable rattle around inside my door... It drives me crazy!!!!! Did you just replace the rivets with screws or what ? Damnd if i drill out all these things to find I can't put bolts back on..... I was thinking I could tac the bolts on the inside of the regulator then just bolt it back in... another thing,, do you think I can buy the plastic cover from the dealer that fits between the door and inside panel???

Hey man get a good picture of your hood .. Did you stamp louvers in it, or is those things some sort of scoop?? -
Another thing,,, Why wouldn't you want the fog lights on with your bright lights? seems like when you want alot of light is when your in bright mode...
-
Where is that fog light relay located? I'm in the process of rewiring, cleaning, and repairing my fuse box. I saw a few relays, and boxes near the steering column but I have a clue where this part is.. It inst the silver box bolted beside the wiper control box ( the black box the velcros under the dash, right??)

Canadian daytime running lights questions
jtdesigns replied to GirsMJ86's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I don't know.... sounds like 90's Chrysler to me..... lol didn't know that either nope sure didn't but now I do! I like the idea of the running lights being auto too. I didn't really think of the rear being lit up. -
go ahead and get it covered... even with some rattle can juice. if the insurance gives you crap tell'em to kiss it because you didn't want it to rust any more than it has, and if they have a problem with that say "you should not of took your sweetass time!" , " I bet a judge would agree with me!"

I deff meant chevy power not chrysler. the after market for chevy is like you said unsurpassed.
