Another thing I was pondering... if i shortened the height rod wouldn't it increase braking force at the rear? -

Two women friends had gone out for a Girls Night Out, and had been decidedly over-enthusiastic on the cocktails. Incredibly drunk and walking home they suddenly realized they both needed to pee. They were very near a graveyard and one of them suggested they do their business behind a headstone or something. The first woman had nothing to wipe with so she took off her panties, used them and threw them away. Her friend however was wearing an expensive underwear set and didn't want to ruin hers, but was lucky enough to salvage a large ribbon from a wreath that was on a grave and proceeded to wipe herself with it. After finishing, they made their way home. The next day the first woman's husband phones the other husband and said, "These damn girls nights out have got to stop. My wife came home last night without her panties." "That's nothing," said the other. "Mine came back with a sympathy card stuck between the cheeks of her butt that said, 'From all of us at the Fire Station, Well never forget you!'

In an effort to ensure proper training and readiness among the military services, Congress has approved the following changes to basic principles of recruit training: Haircuts: Marines: Heads will be shaved. Army: Stylish flat-top’s for all recruits. Navy: No haircut standard. Air Force: Complete makeovers as seen on the Jenny Jones show. Training Hours: Marines: Reveille at 0500, train until 2000. Army: Reveille at 0600, train until 1900. Navy: Get out of bed at 0900, train until 1100, lunch until 1300, train until 1600. Air Force: Awaken at 1000, breakfast in bed, train from 1100 to 1200, lunch at 1200, train from 1300 to 1400, nap at 1400, awaken from nap at 1500, training ceases at 1500. Meals: Marines: Meals, Ready-to-Eat 3 times a day. Army: One hot meal, 2 MRE’s. Navy: 3 hot meals. Air Force: Catered meals prepared by the Galloping Gourmet, Julia Child, and Wolfgang Puck and Emeril Lagasse. All you can eat. Leave And Liberty: Marines: None. Army: 4 hours a week. Navy: 2 days a week. Air Force: For every four hours of training, recruits will receive eight hours of leave and liberty. Protocol: Marines: Will address all officers as "Sir," and refer to the rank of all enlisted members when speaking to them (i.e., Sgt. Smith). Army: Will address all officers as "Sir," unless they are friends, and will call all enlisted personnel "Sarge." Navy: Will address all officers as "Skipper," and all enlisted personnel as "Chief." Air Force: All Air Force personnel shall be on a first name basis with each other. Decorations/Awards: Marines: Medals and badges are awarded for acts of gallantry and bravery only. Army: Medals and badges are awarded for every bullet fired, hand grenade thrown, fitness test passed, and bed made. Navy: Will have ships’ engineers make medals for them as desired. Air Force: Will be issued all medals and badges, as they will most likely be awarded them at some point early in their careers anyway. Camouflage Uniforms: Marines: Work uniform, to be worn only during training and in field situations. Army: Will wear it anytime, anywhere. Navy: Will not wear camouflage uniforms, they do not camouflage you on a ship. (Ship Captains will make every effort to attempt to explain this to sailors.) Air Force: Will defeat the purpose of camouflage uniforms by putting blue and silver chevrons and colorful squadron patches all over them. Career Fields: Marines: All Marines shall be considered riflemen first and foremost. Army: It doesn’t matter, all career fields promote to E-8 in first enlistment anyway. Navy: Nobody knows. The Navy is still trying figure out what sailors in the ABH, SMC, BNC and BSN rates do anyway. Air Force: Every recruit will be trained in a manner that will allow them to leave the service early to go on to higher paying civilian jobs.

I though 3.4's were in Luminias and Grand-prix not camaros. Camaros had 3.8's right?

lol I got that in an email the other day!! Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the pad, There was nada happenin', now thats pretty bad. The woodstove was hung up in that stocking routine, In hopes that the Fat Boy would soon make the scene. With our stomachs packed with tacos and beer, My girl and I crashed on the couch for some cheer. When out in the yard there arose such a racket, I ran for the door and pulled on my leather jacket. I saw a large bro' on a '56 Pan Wearin' black leathers, a cap, and boots (cool biker, man). He rev'ed up the bars on that bike with full sacks, And that Pan hit the roof like it was running on tracks. I couldn't help gawking, the old guy had class. But I had to go in -- I was freezing my @$$. Down through the stovepipe he fell with a crash, And out of the stove he came dragging his stash. With a smile and some glee he passed out the loot, A new jacket for her and some parts for my scoot. He patted her fanny and shook my right hand, Spun on his heel and up the stovepipe he ran. From up on the roof came a great deal of thunder, As that massive V-twin ripped the silence as thunder. With beard in the wind, he roared off in the night, Shouting, "Have a cool Yule, and to all a good ride!" MERRY CHRISTMAS :D

Bleeding my brakes all at once?
jtdesigns replied to jtdesigns's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Don't know, never tried it. I'd wound definitely never introduce anything other than brake fluid into the system, might damage the seals. I still use DOT 3 as recommended for my brakes. Mopar does market a brake system cleaner fluid, never tried it. I always use fresh DOT 3. Yeah rubber doesn't like petro's to well huh.... I think I can wait till I check that brake cleaner fluid out from the dealer, also I think I'll stick with the DOT 3/4 fluids. Thanks, guys  -
Bleeding my brakes all at once?

ok. I've been reading when car and trucks that don't have ABS have better results using DOT 5 fluid. You do however have to remove all your old DOT 3 or 4 fluids. If I was wanting to flush all my lines couldn't I run something through the lines then refill with the DOT 5?? Like kerosene or some other type of wash. -

I've never tried it, but wouldn't recommend it. You're just recycling possible contaminated fluid back into the system. I like to gravity bleed the system for a couple of hours first by opening all four valves that are connected via plastic tubing into a jar w. about 1/2" of brake fluid in it; the plastic tubing below the level of the fluid. This lets the bulk of the air our of the system w/o allowing any more in as long as you top off the m/c periodically. Then shut all the bleed valves and bleed the conventional way starting at the RR, LR, RF, then LF wheels. I still have my load leveling installed, and this works for me. :D Thanks I'll do the gravity bleed first, but I did read somewhere that you need to open the front and then bleed the rear again, the prop values bypass. -
Well it's time for my brakes to be bled. I went to the hardware store and got about 30ft of 3/16 (I think) hose. The plan is just to zip tie the hose ends on all 4 open bleeder values, route them all back to the m/c, then just pump the pedal. It will be more of a cycle of fluid coming through the hose back to the m/c. Although,,I'm unsure about the height value, and the prop value sending all the fluid to the rear bypassing the height value. Does anyone have input on this before I start the bleeding? I think it should work out, but who knows. go or no go??

I've been following this post and both agree and disagree with both the younger and the older posters. Good points by all. I am of the latter, an olde farte like Eagle. :D I was driving on the backroads of NH at nine (by myself) in my grandfathers Chevy, propped up by a pillow, practicing power slides on the ice. NO cell phones in those days. Today, it's a hell of a lot tougher for novice young drivers; more traffic, more distractions, more drunks and druggies on the road, more speed because the roads are better, etc. etc. Plus you've got more REALLY olde fartes on the road today, most of whom can't even see or hear let alone drive. The road slaughter is higher, and the youngsters are doing their part maintaining the numbers for their age group in increasing annual numbers . Why - because they are insufficiently prepared for the onslaught IMHO. Insurance companies dictate to the individual States basically what their respective driving laws are. Some are good, some are useless. BUT they all are designed to save lives, because by doing that the insurance companies make more money, and it's an ongoing never-ending process. What's the solution I haven't a clue, just opinions. One thing is certain: if you do not obey and practice your State's driving laws, you'll either be dead or you will not be able to afford to legally drive anymore. The insurance companies will see to that........... :agree: You younger guys need to realize, that driving is a privilege not a right. its not jumping in your power wheels and hit'n the streets. The quicker you learn that the better your going be in the future.
