How many CC member usually make it to Harlan with NAXJA each year?

Time for a tube bed and 4 link.... just cut it right behind the cab and start putting it back together....

Here’s a pic of my Dakota Steering Box drilled and tapped…. I really like how the anti-coning ring turned out, hope they help… Here’s a pic of what the truss looks like now that it’s pretty much finished, just need to do a little grinding And I found a good use for one of the RCV decals they sent me….. ;)

MJOTM - September, 2014 - Usamedic's '87 Chief
jbain replied to neohic's topic in Comanche of the Month (MJOTM)
 This truck makes my Top 5 MJ's on the planet..... well done sir..... alot of attention to detail in this build. -
Wonder how NAXJA would feel about us piggybacking their event so people who already attend won't have to make multiple trips.... give us an opportunity to mingle with another online community.

Finished up adding 2 inches of front and rear lift (added an XJ leaf to the rear) I also had the new anti-coning rings welded on the beadlocks so hopefully that will allow me to finish those up this week. While I was at it I drilled and tapped the new Dakota steering box for hydro assist...... I'm glad that is over.... nothing worse than junking a new steering box....

I was thinking of coming down for Harlan next year.... looks like you guy's have lots of fun.

There are lots of parks that offer Green trails for stock rigs (which are basically just dirt roads)and middle of the road trails for the guys with mild lifts and 32's all the way up to hard core crawling. Location will be everything for an event like this and for it to be successful it needs to address everyone's interests. Harlan is always an option and located in KY.... it has something for everyone and lots of campgrounds and cabins.

If you guy's are talking about the Badlands in Attica Indiana then that works great for me.... it's less than 6 hours drive. Sign me up for HMT or Badlands.

What bolt is going you problems?

Had a Spartan in my 8.25 and it was very noisy.... clanked and grabbed alot. However for ease of installation I also bought one for my 8.8 and sometimes when I turn a corner and hear the clicking I wonder what the noise is. This one is so quiet and polite on the street I forget I have one.....

Middle of the state of WV is a brand new Offroad park that has hundreds of miles of trails.... everything from mild to wild. All access green roads can be driven by stock vehicles and the scenery is beautiful. Cabin rentals as well well as 2 campgrounds within 3 miles of the trailhead. Across from the one campground is a waterpark for the wife and kids. Also within 10 miles is a mile long strip of restaurants, shopping centers and hotels. Access is all 4 lane highway with the exception of the last 1.5 miles and that is 2 lane. It's called IVY Branch and is part of the Hatfield and McCoy trail system..... I'd be more than happy to run point and set something like this up but would also be willing to pull my junk 10 hours or so to participate elsewhere.....

While in the Navy our ship was lucky enough to stop in Adelaide and it just so happened the Adelaide 500 was being ran. A bunch of us headed uptown and spent the day drinking beer and watching these guys road race. We stood at the big u-turn just before the start finish line..... man those guys can really drive.... and I absolutely love those V8 Supercars.

I picked up this CO2 tank and mount at a local swap meet for 40 bucks last weekend. Got it painted up and installed today….. I also got my new rear adapters installed and a fresh set of pads. That finishes up the rear, now I just have to finish up the front.
-
I really gotta get rid of my factory tank.... It's got a skid but I drag that thing on everything. Sweet truck and I look forward to your rear 4 link mod.... subscribed.

Thanks man.... I'm not sure I'm loving the inside bars on the doors but for 100.00 I couldn't pass them up. That truck of yours is really starting to take shape....

Finally finished up grooving my tires….. I also cleaned up my front hubs and rotors as well as put a fresh coat of paint on my tube doors.

I was stationed on the USS Blue Ridge (7th Flt Command Ship) in Yokosuka Japan. I was in charge of the Admirals Command Center and I remember being woken up by the phone. One of my watchstanders said I should turn on my TV.... my wife and I sat speechless for over 30 minutes just watching until it dawned on me I better get dressed and get to the ship. It was a long night and even a longer day that followed..... Nice setup there ComancheKid45.... God Bless America.

After I broke my second Dana 30 Ring and Pinion in less than a year.....and several axles and joints, I decided I wasn't going to spend the money to set another one up. It cost me the last 6 months stuck at home and a trip to the bank but in the long run I think it's gonna be worth it.

Got some grooving done today.... two down... two to go...
-
Mine were so bad I just put covers over them so I wouldn't be tempted to use them.....
-
Sweet...... I like the location.
-
Thought I'd seen them all but there are a bunch here I've never seen........ nice collection......

Spent the day setting up the gears ….. I always feel better when this is done and everything falls inside tolerances…..
