Here's a video of me running Ladder last weekend. I've tried it 3 times before but have never gotten through without breaking something. It's a little long and I didn't add any music so you can hear the bashing the MJ takes as is picks it's way through this trail.

When I got to Japan (stationed in there in the Navy) I found a US spec car for sale that had less than 50,000 Kilometers on it for $2,000 dollars. Houndstooth interior sunroof and gunmetal grey. Drove that car for 4 years as a daily driver and loved it. Planned to bring it back to the states but it was a huge pain so I decided against it. It was also an 87 model.... nice car.

So did we officially decide on a date? I'd like to get this on my calender for next year if possible.

Made it down to IVY over the weekend for 2 full days in the woods….. the weather was perfect (maybe a little cold overnight) the company was awesome and my MJ made it out without any breakage. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. Here are a few pics.

I'd love to go to the all breeds Jeep show.....

Oh I can see that now.... I almost painted my rims white when I did my Beadlocks just for that retro look... but I chickened out and painted the rims silver and the beadlocks red.

Thanks Wade... and yea I was more than happy with how the geometry worked. Still gotta get the steering over the knuckle and get my hydro assist mounted up but other than that I think I'm over the hump on the this upgrade.

Put a new PS Pump on (toasted mine on the shakedown run) as well as some JCR bushing to limit my ball joint roll. Got the back bumped and tonight I should get the front bump finished up as well as a few misc items...... gotta get busy I'm pulling out for IVY at 6am Friday morning. We're doing a 2 day (Friday and Saturday) along with a couple nights of camping..... nothing like hanging out around the fire talking Jeeps.........

I really like the rock rails and white Beadlocks......

It is easier to just drive to and from camp without worrying about loading or airing up.... Like Wade I'll probably stay at the Badlands Campground.

can't remember off the top of my head right now but on the back of the cluster there is a common ground that runs to everything... when I put mine together it didn't work either so I ran an extra ground wire to one of the posts on that back and everything worked immediately. I can't remember where I found it but try searching external ground for XJ gauge cluster. -

Probably one of my favorite stock trucks here..... just pull those beauty rings off the front and it would look just like a Stripped Cop Comanche. -

When you cycle the key do you get a check engine light? Not sure if it's the same on the Renix but it seems to me on a HO it means your computer isn't talking to your Jeep. -
Either works for me.... just need a place to park the truck and trailer.

Once we nail down a date I'd like to talk campgrounds..... it would be cool for those who are camping to all make reservations at the same one.

Always look forward to seeing you beat on that MJ....

Our school starts in mid August so I'd be happy with the first weekend..... "August in Attica"..... kinda catchy.....

Thanks MancheKid I'm really glad it's off Jackstands and back in the woods..... Hit the local trails yesterday for a Shakedown for our trip at the end of the month to IVY…. Plan was to make sure all my suspension geometry for the new axle as well as my bumps and straps were working. Everything worked well except for the steering…. Pump whined all day and it had a bunch of hard spots in it. Here are a few shameless poser pics……

I have vacation in June and July is sketchy.... May or Aug is best for me.

Project 4 seat MJ, Killed in the womb.

I have a feeling your MJ will be around long after most of the Trucks here are long gone...... Thanks for posting up, it's not often we get to see something we've never seen before. I shipped a vehicle oversea and back while in the Navy and I for one understand the amount of work you went through to save a truly unique example of the truck we all love so well. Your a very lucky guy.... -
It seems like forever since I've been in the woods.....But when I came out of Harlan in the spring with another busted Dana 30 I knew it was time to upgrade.... Even though its not yet ready for any hard core wheeling it is nice to get to drive it again, and especially see it sitting somewhere other than where it was.

Yea I agree.... even if my MJ couldn't make it I would make the trip just to meet everyone and check out a group of MJ's all in one place. Not everyone takes a Jeep to the All breeds Jeep show.... but they still go....

Been a long day but Ole Chief finally moved for the first time in 6 months…. :)
