I had another productive day in the garage today. I got the Donor drivetrain unbolted and it's just waiting for me to hook a chain to it. I also pulled the engine harness and the heater box. I cut the old firewall out of the Donor while my brother mounted the steering and pedal brackets to the firewall. I was also able to finish up all the firewall modifications on the driver's side and apply liberal amounts of body sealer. All in all not a bad day at all.

We had a pretty good day today, My brother and I was able to finish up the floors so it's nice to now say my Comanche is rust free. I was also able to fabricate lower mounts for the 97 dash and mocked it up. Still have upper mounts but it fits like a glove against that 87 firewall.

Sorry for the delayed response but I don't get a chance to check in every day. But like 90BlackMJ said they are CV axles. (Thanks BlackMJ)

Time to call it a day, it's always a good feeling when the cutting and grinding is done (well at least on the body). Now just a few hours of welding a couple tubes of sealer and it will be time to move on to the H.O. swap.

Not much n the pan, it was pretty close. I'm using a 79 F250 HP Dana 44 narrowed to waggy width with a Detroit and RCVs. Out back I'll be using an 8.8 and a Spartan Locker.

Neutralized the acid this mornings and wiped everything down with solvent. Laid down a couple thin coats of etching primer, big difference in before and after.

Pinch weld isnt even close anywhere. The front is about 2 inches further out than the rear.

Finished cutting out all the rot this afternoon and got the floors all ground down and wire brushed. Now for some rust conversation to make sure it doesn't return.

My JCR Sliders showed up today. They are supposed to be MJ specific but they are definitely going to need some work to fit right. But I will say at 57 pounds per side they are beefy.

Anybody running JCR Sliders? Mine showed up today and they don't seem to fit at all. Couldn't find any MJ specific instructions anywhere so I was hoping someone had some pics.

Nice looking Machine. I'm building an Overlanding rig with plans to sleep in the back, so keep us posted. -
I was just looking at those today and was thinking about them as well. I just ordered a Dirtbound rear bumper, they seem to do good work.

Took advantage of the great weather today to pressure wash and scrub the donor interior. I still have some spots to deal with later but I'm real happy with how well the fabric cleaned up.
-
Right on, I'm pretty tough on my rigs and tend to sometimes get into trees.

I've always loved the J10 Golden Eagles and since Jeep didnt make a MJ with this package I figured I better. So this is my is my inspiration. The J10 birds are too big for our hoods but they now make one for the JKs that fit nicely.

Right on, I'm almost done. It was much easier with the dash out of the way. I bought this stuff to treat the pits that I couldn't get to.

How many of you guys are running Notch flares? I'm considering a set for my project but worry about durability. Pics and tire size would be appreciated.
