  1. Clean the IAC before you start screwing with the TPS.
  2. I don't see why not, but I don't know jack about the 44.
  3. You have the rare cluster with gauges minus the tach. You have the correct temp and oil pressure senders. All you'll need to do is swap in the full cluster with the tach, and everything will work.
  4. Must be that I'm on a 10.1" widescreen( :ack: ) netbook, highest res I can run is 1024x600.
  5. :needpics: If that is indeed an AW-4 in the ZJ, I will stand corrected.
  6. Any idea how to get it so they're not taking over half my screen when posting? It must be a firefox setting, or something weird with the new version, because it wasn't like this before I formatted and reinstalled Windows yesterday.
  7.
  8. Something like this? Same thing happened to my 99 XJ. Probably my fault, though, since it happened after I changed the pads and the warped drum.
  9. I once saw an 84 or 85 XJ that had a column shift and a bench seat, I would assume it had e-brake pedal. They did exist, but good luck finding one.
  10. You're probably still better off with a full XJ console, and just fabbing some cupholders where the shifter would go. The missing e-brake handle really isn't that big of a deal, you can easily block off the slot if it's an issue.
  11. Are you running an open radiator and the closed system tank, or is it an open system tank?
  12. yup. some TJs had them too, but also suffer from the low pinion issue. :ack: As do 00 - 01 XJs. :ack:
  13. The Auto in the 94 ZJ won't be an AW-4. AW-4 was only used in the ZJ in 93.
  14. Yup. You'll need to use all the 96 bezels in order to use the grill, but everything will go right on.
  15. Never ID an axle by the plug. Go by the shape of the cover.
  16. And the 8.25 is a sexier axle.
  17. AX-4/5 went to internal in 87 with the BA 10/5.
  18. I used a vacuum bleeder on my '87 2.5 after I replaced the external slave. It worked fine. 87 wouldn't be an external slave, did you swap it from an internal? It doesn't take that much air to only partially work.
  19. You should get hooks with the springy things so they can't fall off.
  20. Are you sure you're bleeding it correctly? The external slaves have to be removed, and fully compressed during bleeding. You cannot bleed it with it still attached to the bellhousing.
  21. They don't look familiar, may have been something a PO installed to counteract a sinking mount.
  22. To see if it's either the motor or something on the motor, make sure it's completely cold, pop the belt off, and start it up. Rev it up a few times, and see if you hear the noise.
  23. Pull the vacuum line off the regulator and see if it's wet/smells like gas. This would indicate that the regulator isn't working, and seeping gas into the vacuum system.
  24. Pop the front driveshaft out and see if you still get it. Also check the wheel U-joints.

Just out of curiosity, why does gearing not matter? Also, does it matter what it's out of?
