  1. Why the duck not... CC will always be my port of call though
  2. I'm assuming you have a driveshaft for the SYE? IIRC the pukey and AW4 aren't that different in length, you should be fine with the slip in the shaft. :brows:
  3. ZJ rears in the front will drop a 4cyl about 2 inches. At least that's what it did when I helped do it. No promises.
  4. Nope, considering you can build yourself a 4.7 stroker for about that. My cost (ESTIMATES) For parts so far is about $1,200. That's not factoring in machining however. And I'm replacing everything other than block, head, crank, oil pan, and valve cover. Now I just need the money to start buying the stuff..
  5. Been bouncing around between 3.79 and 4.03 for 87. I guess once they got over the 4 dollar 'hump' for diesel they just took off with it.
  6. I brought up the 4wd conversion because it seemed he implied it wasn't any good because it was 2wd
  7. Hey I never said it was an Ax-5...I believe I said it was an AX-15. After piddling around under the blue truck today, that is definitly a 2wd Ax-15.
  8. I get mine from a local shop for $102
  9. I've seen it done. One of Beaterjeep's is lowered in the front. You're lowering it because it's only 2wd? Why not convert it to 4wd?
  10. This site makes me cry sometimes. Used to be such a good lookin truck too...
  11. Black and blood red two-tone. If she's a "girly-girl", It should counter all the pinky fuzzy stuff she'll put on it and not look bad.
  12. A long block 4.0, IIRC weighs somewhere around 575-600lbs.
  13. XJ buckets work with little modification.
  14. Near the bottom of the shifter there's gonna be a round boot. Pull that up, and there'll be three bolts. Take those out and the shifter pulls right out.
  15. Serpentine or V belts? Pics would help a lot.
  16. Probably more than it would cost to build your own. Oh, and you'd have to talk the guy into/pay him to pull the motor and sell the truck without a motor.
  17. Probably more than it would cost to build your own.
  18. Popped a hole in your exhaust?
  19. I suppose it's possible a lot of water got into your bellhousing, causing the clutch to slip a lot. You probably would have noticed it though..
  20. That's a SWEET truck you've got there. I will be having a small console out of a 91 soonish, as soon as I get my full console.
  21. I hope they did more than fire him...
  22. At least they showed some mild remorse about it...
  23. Paint looks nice! But I'm confused...
  24. I'll go with July 6th. Cause that's my birthday.
