  1. They're those small alcohol burning race cars, really buzzy, and a starter on them would weigh too much, so they need to be push started around the track.
  2. I'd only seen that using the 258 rods actually put the pistons lower in the cylinder, and and you could deck the block by 0.020" to get some more compression.
  3. It says they're $0.00 each. My mom's bf bought one that was like 50% off at F&F not too long ago, he's got a 96 Dakota that he pushes midgets with, so he uses it at least once a week. They live about 1/8th of a mile from me so no need to get my own :brows: And it would seem to have plenty of 1/5 reviews...
  4. I do not own one, but I do have access to one. I'll have to try that. I was thinking it had to be something that had to sit on it for awhile.
  5. Would it be safe to use if the TB was removed and completely wiped down/dried before reinstallation?
  6. Yeah, definitly check the U-joints, they can wear enough to cause binding. Disco not disengaging wouldn't matter. If it did, then the non-disco axles would bind all the time.
  7. How wide are your tires? They could be rubbing on the LCAs
  8. What's a good concrete cleaner that I can lay down, and either scoop up or wash away that's somewhat affordable? I have some oil/coolant stains that the management is somewhat complaining about.
  9. The 242 does not have a viscous coupling, it mas a mechanical differential. JT, "CommandTrac" is the 231, "SelecTrac" is the 242. My bad, I'd been told it was a coupling.
  10. NP242 is the full time case, or all wheel drive. It has a viscous coupling for the front, which allows you to be in 4wd on dry pavement, all the time when in 4wd full time.
  11. Wouldn't it be easier to just swap the whole case?
  12. M'kay, I was basing that off of you keeping the 3.55
  13. ...Why? AW-4 is a lot more trouble, and only worth it if you really, really want to have an automatic. NV3550 is gonna be a lot of fabbing and part hunting. There's nothing wrong with the 4 speed. Having a 5th gear is useless if your motor doesn't have the power to turn it, which the 2.5 doesn't really have unless you have 4.10.

You should be fine converting to a jpg if you're just uploading a still pic for your avatar. The jpg you're dealing with my have a problem, try opening it with your PS, copy and paste it into a new file, and re-save it as a jpg again. Make sure your height, width, and file size are right for the site. I've noticed with mine, PS 7.0, that when you save a jpg and it tells you it will be about 30k, it actually ends up being like 34, so save it smaller than you think you need it.
  15. ...MAYBE. Rumor has it the T-5 was used, sparingly, behind the 2.5 and 2.8 in 86 MJs. Only problem I could see running into is a different clutch. Also, the 2.5 and 2.8 used the same 5 speed, same bellhousing, so you could used one of those too.

i kind of had the same problem just mine told me it ONLY had to be a .gif. i just copyed the picture i wanted to use onto paint then saved it as a different file as a .gif(due to gif files having crappy color quality i didnt want to ruin the original picture). maybe try a gif? hope that helped at all .gif files do not have crappy quality, Paint just makes it crappy when it converts it. Use photoshop. If you don't have photoshop, PM me about it.
  17. Half my stroker parts :brows:
  18. And even after you get one of those(I've only ever seen one for sale, and there was a catch- you had to buy the truck), you're still going to need to do some fab work for the tranny mount.
  19. General rule of thumb is EVERYTHING from the doors forward, save the floor and roof, is identical to the same year/equipped XJ. Many similarities to ZJs as well.
  20. lol ok i checked out this site but my xj is 1 year too old to get my manual...could i just use the 88 one or is it unbelivably different? The differences between 87 and 88 are so minimal I wouldn't worry about it.
  21. The firing order is stamped on the intake manifold.
  22. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. I wish I was obscenely rich.

  24. I've thought about a hidden ECU power cutoff switch. With the lock though, they may notice it and basically say "&^#* that"
