  1. Pulled the CarryAll out of the way with the Blue MJ -> so I can pull the project MJ into the shop -> Set the MJ up in the corner and brought the parts XJ in too -> Started to remove the engine and transmission from the XJ -> I just about had it out -> and I noticed this ???? -> It looks like a piece of plastic connecting the lines together???? Is this normal?? And now that the engine is free I can see a few holes will have to be made for the wiring harness and the auto cable -> It should be interesting from here on. TBC - Rich

Now THAT is awesome. Details? That sure is awesome - my inspiration for my own dually conversion here - viewtopic.php?f=7&t=30377 has a few other dually Comanche pictures.
  3. Not yet - I have been working mostly on the off road project.
  4. My 6 year old nephew and I headed over to the shop to work on the jeep. We got the dash and some of the trim pieces in-> We have the carpet laid out and the new bucket seat brackets we got from 89er ( ) lined up too. Took a shot of the back of the next club project ~ 1942 Dodge CarryAll WC53 ->
  5. I only talked with btm24, 89er, & Suuperman - all on CC. Never saw the other owners and I did not drive the MJ (where I keep the cards), so no Comanche Club cards were given out. Maybe btm24 placed a few cards on the vehicles? :brows:
  6. Anyone know who makes this front bumper? -> And my personal favorite ->
  7. :agree: I will try to get something in tonight
  8. hang in there Chaos
  9. Brandon. Had close to 700 jeeps there. Brandon an I counted 7 MJ's participating in the show. Saw Suuperman's Gold LWB MJ - nice. He did well on the off-road courses. This was the best Jeeptoberfest I have been to. Hats off to the Ocala Jeep Club for putting together an awesome event
  10. Flipping Brilliant
  11. Good, this is the way to go - I wish I was going :(
  12. Thanks Rock
  13. I just checked out your build thread - great year to start off with  You don't have to wait until the Comanche is done to hang out ;) .
  14. Looking good! Are you going to keep it 2wd?
  15. I had leak from the seam in the rain gutter - is that the correct term? The seam where the roof and the body are joined - behind the door. I am in Tarpon Springs Florida  . One of the local clubs is having a social this Friday at the Beef O'Brady's in Land O'Lakes on SR 54 (8pm). The Beef's is 1 mile west of HYW 41 in the Publix shopping center. I would love to see another MJ from the area. - Rich
  16. Did you get that from an auto parts store like Napa, or Advanced Auto?
  17. Great way to honor him  . You will be missed Joe.
  18. Very, very hard to come by. I found one, maybe two, at the LKQ in the 4 years I have been into the MJ's. I will let you know when I see one, but it could be a while.
  19. I was able to get my computer fixed, so I will start to post up on my progress. I tried the XJ carpet in the MJ and just by laying it in the truck it looks like it should be a very close fit -> I broke one of the mounts on the heater box removing it fro the first 96 XJ earlier this year -> I wasn’t too happy about it, but I suppose missing one bolt would not hurt anything. I wanted to use everything from the 96 in the MJ, because of something that would be different between the years and being 10 years newer. Then when I removed the original heater box I found more evidence of rat-foolery -> The boxes looked almost identical, so I tried to take the good plastic of the 86 box and try fitting it on the new 96 XJ box – it worked! -> Ready to go in the MJ -> And installed -> I also got the shifter in place -> I will be working on it this weekend, so I should have a lot of progress to post up. TBC
  20. That looks nice! Did you tint the tail light lenses? They look good too
  21. X2 That sucks - glad to see you are still wheeling & camping out though. - Rich
  22. Congratulation! Good job raising them right . . .
  23. I imagine it really did suck. Very glad to hear that your family is OK.
  24. You are welcome! It sounded like a good deal - how does it look?
