sorry pete. I meant TPS  hmmm I guess I will start going though the vacuum lines and see what I come up with.

cleaned the TB really good and it runs like it should now, it also doesnt have an unsteady idle now. It just idles high, I guess this has to do with my CPS? I drove it around and its idling about 1000 1100

Awesome info. I'll lOok into this after work. Thanks guys

I like the way the truck is going! the mud graps have a very distinctive sound.... very high pitched, sounds like an airplane taking off haha.

Ok guys, where to begin. My truck has been running kind of rough lately. doesnt have a steady idle, lacks power, sounds terrible too. It got worse after A recent off road trip where the vac line pulled off the front axle. No water was pulled in or anything like that, but I ran sea foam through the system and it didnt seem to help. Next I did a full tune up with rotor cap wires and plugs. Still not there. I pulled the IAC off the throttle body and cleaned it. It had some hard buildup on it that i had to scrape off with my nail and shoot it with cleaner. Still not running where it needs to be though. My next plan of action is pull the TB completely and clean it up good and see where that gets me, as well as a new fuel filter for good measure. My question is after doing this, what should my plan of attack be? how would you go about diagnosing the problem? I can't explain well what the truck is doing but under load it doesnt sound right, and the idle is bouncy. Sorry for the long post, but all help is appreciated

before all mine were stollen, I would shoot a lot ok clays, stoeger 3500, great gun, I had an ar, S&W M&P, AK, and a deer rifle. But I shoot shotgun the most

i missed that too. I know in SC a salvage title isnt too big of a deal. You can register and insure a vehicle with one. Not sure about SC.

Its been on CL for a while, or maybe I saw it on nc4x4. either way It has been for sale for a while i think. Id say 800 or 900 if the body is solid and the interior isnt too bad. never hurts to ask.

truck looks great. seems to clear the tires very well for 4.5 coils! -
haha. wow. IT IS SO OBVIOUS, it has an H1 interior and an H2 exterior with a body that seems too big for the chassis :ack:
-
Not too bad here. No worries Pete, you do a great job here, and I am sure it will be worth it when you get it up and running! :wrench:

Your truck is going to be awesome! :wrench: -
props on trying the lead. I always thought that was cool. But honestly if you are going to bedline it I wouldnt bother with the lead. I'm sure the liner would cover up alot of the imperfections? :dunno:

I agree 100% haha

planning on putting it on one of the trucks?

Went out and worked on the jeep some. I fixed the wire that got caught by the cable and broke. I also spooled on my synthetic winch line. That stuff is awesome. SO much better to work with than cable. I ran some seafoam through the vacuem lines and it seemed to help some. I'm going to do a tune up and see where that puts me. When I drive the truck it seems like it has a bad exhaust leak.(sounds like its chug alugging down the road) I know i have a cracked header but maybe it broke worse when I was out wheeling. I will report my findings on that. -

I was waiting for a post like that haha... I'm sure my grandkids would enjoy that, when they are born... a long time from now. I'm just impatient

Thanks for the help guys. It's just a pond, so you're not going to see any significant wave action. Likewise, no boats tied to the pier, I'd assume? I think you will be fine just pushing the posts in with the bucket on the tractor. Will it put posts in on dry land? They should go in even easier in the water, unless there's a real hard bottom. I'm assuming you're just planning to use fence posts... One way or another, it would probably last a while like that. No need to bring in a pile driver and put in telephone poles... Yes it is in a small pond so waves are not an issue, and if a boat was ever tied to it, it would be nothing bigger than a 14' aluminum boat. So nothing substantial. for the posts on the land I will use an auger and drill the holes out. Pretty much exactly what I am going for, just different dimensions. I am going to have to bust the waders out this weekend and do some exploring and see what my bottom is like. thanks guys!

yes. I'm not wanting to build a floating dock. I want more of a pier I guess, I want to be up off the water some.
-
well it could happen. my buddy is a big time farmer and lives right up the road, but getting a large piece of equipment back there will be a task in itself. thats why i figured a tractor would be better.

Ok guys, My property has a small pond(old beaver pond) on it. I have been kicking around the idea of adding a small pier on it for duck hunting and maybe tying the jon boat off to. basically i just want a short extension off the bank but fairly wide to have room for a few guys shooting. My main concern/question was how to drive the posts underwater? this will be a LOW budget project(or it won't happen) I plan on using spare materials we have laying around aside from picking up posts. How would you guys get them drove in? I was thinking setting them up and push down with a tractor bucket :dunno: or somehow get out there and hammer them down. :dunno:
