  2. the rear end has 4.30 painted on it. that could be the ratio I would assume :dunno:
  3. I agree with everyone else. It is cool to see u pic through and find out all of the trucks little quirks and interesting things. Keep up the good work! :wrench:
  4. Until someone determines you 'unfit'. So you don't mind someone (gov) determining your rights? the govt should also do the same for chainsaws, nail guns, torches and or anything else that can hurt you... If thats your thinking where does it end? before you know it you will have have the govt check and see if you are eligible to hold a permit to poop
  5. :( sorry to hear everytime ive seen water in an engine or oil in general its milky looking. maybe it could of separated though.
  6. I was actually behind you today(not in my jeep) turning off of youngblood onto 49 headed toward lake wylie. Truck looks good!
  7. I have a little cheap one. One of my wheeling buddies (also into racing) said I should get an automotive one not just a marine or household one. He said the ones for cars one ruin wiring :dunno: something about halon? might be worth looking into
  8. yeah, uh lets see, i have a squeaky track bar, need to redo my rear brake lines do a full tune up, weld my door hinge back on, put in a new brake booster... yeah i know what you mean :wrench:
  9. you got plenty of time to do all that! HIDs are not that time consuming, and a hi lift mount shouldnt be too bad. if anything finish painting when you get back! :wrench: glad you got your alignment fixed
  10. two of my favorite colors. you won't go wrong with green or white!
  11. my trackbar is about to drive me nuts!!!
  12. I agree. A friend of mine buys and sells cars, flips for a profit. He picked up a 4.7 GC thinking a motor would be easy to find. Not the case. he ended up with a big head ache. I don't remember what he ended up doing but he said hed never have another one. On the opposite end my neighbor bought a 4.7 lifted it wheeled it etc. no problems at all. had over 100k. :dunno:

  14. it is not cam I'm not an idiot, may not be a heim, BUT, I WAS CORRECT. it is a rear zj track bar, I'm not @#$% stupid. http://fatbobsgarage.com/i-6785322-jeep ... ation.html so where is this rubber bushing you see on my frame? took closer pics so you can stare at it longer if you would like still think its backwards? didnt think so. Never said you were an idiot, and I'm not trying to make you feel bad. Just looking out for a fellow jeeper. :wrench: And I will say you upgraded from your last truck. looks good, keep it up
  15. thanks for the heads up. The Rock Hill one doesnt get any either  You saved me a trip up there though :wrench:
  16. I'm looking really hard, and I see no heim on the frame end. just a welded piece with a rubber bushing.
  17. the heim joint with the adjustment goes toward the frame and the rubber bushing goes into the axle... it def. looks backwards
  18. Yes it is. Last time I bout some house brand joints I payed 11 maybe?
  19. I have to agree here. Good points. If jeep were to make an INEXPENSIVE COMPACT pick up they could really do well. Look at companies who use fleets, a small pickup with decent fuel efficiency is needed, exterminators, construction, DOT, etc all use small pickups. Ford no longer has one. The Dakota is too big really the only thing I see in this segment is the colorado and toyota. If jeep did it right and offered a truly rugged compact pickup they can't lose
  20. I'm at about 6 or so inches. give or take. I have no need for one. Just as Pete said! :wrench:
  21. if you have buckets and a full console there there are two stock options, but neiter is that great. Id look for a 97 up console with cup holders. if you have a bench look in the DIY section. people have done it.
  22. i take it you will come down 77 in to columbia SC then head toward the coast, thats how we go to youngstown? there is a pull a part in charlotte. I have been to it a few times and was impressed http://pullapart.com/locations/charlotte.aspx they may have what you need, I think they even list there inventory? might be worth checking out
  23. I will look into it. I'm going to do a full tune up and go from there.
