We put both new bags in as well as the module on the floor. fired it up and nothing blew thankfully, but the airbag light is on. We will have to investigate further as to why that is. On another note we got the new front clip primed as well as the radiator in :wrench: paint and a windshield and shes ready to go!

thats what I suggested, He is mainly scared of hooking the new bags up and then hooking the battery up and them going off because of it not being reset. We would like to stay away from the dealership if possible

Ok, I know there are a few members here who make some extra cash fixing and flipping wrecked xjs. Well my buddys sister wrecked her 00 a few weeks back and my buddy decided to fix it and make it his DD. The jeep is in awesome shape, just needed two fenders, bumper and a header and a hood after the insurance company got a hold of it. He got all the parts including the radiator and air bags to fix it. our only question was, do you just hook the airbags back up? do you have to reset the computer or anything? both bags went out in the wreck and he bought used bags out of another jeep, just looking for some help to get her back on the road! :wrench:

   :wrench: -
Mine was upside down when I bought it, and it stayed that way until I built my new bumper. Only reason I didnt do if sooner was because I had a grill gaurd and I couldnt get to all the screws without taking on of the lights off, so it didnt bother me that much.

I have seen the blue in a few trucks that I liked. My truck came with the grey. I wish It was the tan though

I love your truck man. looks great! :wrench: -
call me a wimp, I don't care. 104* temps is too hot to be driving the comanche with no AC. I did a search and most everything I found was sell and buy a new jeep. well that is not an option for me. Would it be practical to swap an ac system over from a donor? or is there an aftermarket system that might be easier? I did a google search but everything I found seemed to be for a wrangler. Any insight on this? It would really make me want to use the truck alot more. thanks guys

Id lift the front 2 more inches and just rock it like that! but I think it will look great with the new lift and long arms! and whats to justify about a bumper and rocker guards? it would really tie the whole truck together and give it that finished look, so then you would have no desire to alter, modify, change or spend any money on the truck :brows: Oh and I agree about the heat! its rough! -

I thought your truck looked pretty good... Now its awesome! I normally don't like bushwackers, I can tell on this truck I will like them. At first I wasnt a fan of the color either, but now with the rims and the rest of the black trim it looks really good can't wait to see it lifted -

did a full tune up as well as pulled the TB off and cleaned it. I also cleaned the IAC has its power and pep back. The TB really had a lot of buildup and crap in it. the truck also idle alot better now, not perfect but better! I also washed it! haha -

it allows for the axle to droop more before the LCA hits the mount -
gorgeous truck. and welcome to the site! I think the wheels with meatier tires would look good, but if you are wanting to change it up I think you should stick with a factory wheel. turbines would look nice. A newer xj wheel perhaps? :dunno:

Any ideas for bringing back old paint?
camjeep3 replied to Automan2164's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
strip wash it, clay bar, good polishing compound, wax. chances are you will want a machine for the polishing :ack: -
