Drahcir495
Hit it pretty good at the LKQ today. Got a notice that a 1990 Comanche was getting put in lot today, so I rushed down. I quickly put the tailgate in my wheel barrel and went to get the ECU but decided to grab it after I took out the passenger side seat bracket (driver’s side was rusted out). Big mistake I guess. A guy came in and removed it as I worked on getting the bracket out . Still a good day -> They wanted $80 for the two tail lights, so I passed on them. Headliner was no good in the front - crumbling because I guess it was water damaged.

Drahcir495
Still need to get some wrenching in even though I don’t have the Comanche to work on. A couple of friends met up to put a lift kit on his 2002 TJ. He had the Rough Country 2.5” lift kit. He already had 31” tires and needed a little lift to complete the look. Before the lift -> And after -> It took three of us about 7 hours to complete including pizza and wings. When it was all said and done it gained 3.5” in the front and 4” in the rear. This lift will settle in and probably get down to the 2.5” range that is advertised . He called me when he made it home and I could hear the smile over the phone. The Jeep drove great and looked good too.
Drahcir495
Getting ready to camp out tonight in the back yard with Trey and the dogs -> My wife is having nothing to do with it and will be having a free night binging Unexpected on TLC. She will be in the comfort of the air conditioning and supportive mattress while my glass back is on the blow up mattress in the Florida humidity. Not sure if it’s going to be cool enough out but we are committed to doing it!

I enjoyed it up until the air out of the blow up mattress leaked out . Had to head in at 5am with my son who said it was too cold to stay out any longer. Great time though. Drahcir495
Took the passenger seat out of the truck and brought it home. Cleaned the seat and then taped up the bottom to ensure it wouldn’t catch any over spray. Then I used the Shadow Blue SEM paint to bring it back to life (can see my solution to get the seat to tilt )-> Started with the back before I tackled the front. Forgot about it, so it was baking in the sun for awhile -> The before -> Then after -> I love the SEM products

Drahcir495
Got my DirtBound off-road battery tray painted up today. It is shipped raw metal, so needed to be painted. It’s been miserably cold out - in the 40’s . It’s finally 80* out, so I was able to get several coats of paint on and knock out this project -> It’s as nice as the JCR off-road tray, but at a better price. Drahcir495
I wasn’t able to sleep last night so I was up until 2:30 working on my build-up page. I entered in links to every page and what’s on them . Drahcir495
I’ve been thinking that I might go back to having the CB mounted in the center console -> I am not positive that I am going to, but I decided to take the cut out cubbie from the console. Didn’t care about this one because it has the two holes for the round locker switches cut into it -> I didn’t even realize that it was possible to remove this piece until recently. I ground out the melted plastic welding spots holding it in on with 4 tabs -> Now I have the option to use it or just find another place for the CB. Took out the emergency brake block off piece while I was at it. TBC -Rich
Drahcir495
I’ve got the winch off the Cherokee and ready to go on the winch cradle. I already have a 2 gage jumper from my battery to the front of the Jeep to use with the quick connect plug on my jumper cables. Now I needed a cable with the quick connect plug to come off of the winch, so I can quickly take the winch off and on. This got me thinking I should do something for the rear - it would be really nice to be able to hook the winch cradle on the back bumper . Found this jumper cable kit on Amazon. It has the 5 foot jumper lead with connector on the end and another 25 foot cable with quick connection on one end and battery clamps on the other. It’s all 2 gauge as well. My plan is to run the 25’ cable to the back of the truck so the winch will be able to hook up to power. I will have to cut off the clamps to length and then clamp some lugs to mount up on the battery. I did a quick measurement on the distance from the back to the battery in front. I had it measured to about 20’. The kit that comes with 5’ jumper, 25’ jumper cables, gloves, wire brush and case ->
