NC Tom
I've been parts shopping for a bit and as with anything the opinions of others are all over the place! For someone with a limited parts budget I'm always struggling with cost/performance issues. On Rock Auto, for example, typical brands are: (This is for steering/suspension) SKP Mevotech MOOG Dorman Ultra-power MCQUAY-NORRIS QUICK STEER TRW ACDelco Delphi TRW and others Search any of these brands and you get the full spectrum of "Love it, to JUNK!" opinions. Keeping in mind that people are largely stupid and will complain about something that is not even related to the part they purchased or a part fails because the knucklehead takes a stock truck over the Rockies. We all know this is true. Ok, back to me! My truck is 95% stock. It's my DD and I NEVER abuse it. Very limited off-road use. Snow or mud is not uncommon. For we stock drivers, are parts brands largely a non-issue? I've read Dorman is good, I've read Dorman is bad. Same for every other brand. Many folks here like MOOG. I would assume MOOG is better than Dorman. However, I've also read MOOG is junk. What gives? I would love to buy the parts I can afford, but not at the cost of part failure. Is it so hard to expect that ALL aftermarket parts are stock quality at minimum? How can we get a better quality source of reviews/recommendations for our old trucks? ratrapp
moog used to be good but its not what it used to be.ive been using alot of delphi parts in the last 2-3 years and they seem decent.dormans electrical parts are a hit or miss but the few suspension parts ive used havent been on the customers vehicles long enough to have an opinion. ghetdjc320
SKP I’ve always had consistent results with. Moog, has had a lot of variables. AC delco, it really depends on what level of AC delco. Haven’t had any issues with their gold tier products. Delphi is OE for some vehicle components. I suspect though, that there are quality tiers within each of these brands. So it may come down more to the specific part and quality tiers than just the overall brand. 75sv1
I've only used the TTX level of parts from Mevotech. They hold up. Also, might look at NAPA (????). I've used some of the Mevotech Supreme swaybar bushings.. Seemed OK.
89 MJ
A lot of times, the product will say the country that it was made in. If you go to a local parts store, I would look for parts that are made in the USA.

pizzaman09
I'm not sure they sell parts for Comanches, but if you are ever shopping for rubber parts and come across URO, then avoid it at all costs. I've purchased parts from them many times as they are so much cheaper, they technically work but I always find they fit poorly or only last a few months. hgeranium
I replaced my entire steering linkage system with mevotech supreme products and have had zero issues thus far. Good construction and not overly cheap or beat up like many parts store junk I've gotten in the past. For the quality, you can't beat the price of them. Smokeyyank
MOOG is good depending where its made. Like mentioned above a lot of these companies have tiers. Depends on what youre looking for.

I ran through the menu to setup a New Vehicle. Listed an 88 Jeep Comanche. Front end parts should be the same as a Cherokee too.
