Spinnakerblue89
Ever have a ride where from the factory it just did something differently that you either liked it or didn't like it? Or maybe over time, your ride matures and maybe develops its own unique feature? Today I learned my '84 BII never had a steering wheel button-- you push in the hi/lo beam stalk! I thought that was done away with in the 1970's! My 2003 Land Rover Discovery 2 has front AND rear fog lights. I actually rather like that idea. My '93 ZJ has what I call an "option"- automatic license plate removal. Yeah! If you close one of the rear doors or the trunk a little too hard, the license plate panel pops out of the trunk. Real handy when you get the new plates in, I'll tell you. Been meaning to delete that one for a while. My MJ actually doesn't have any unusual features, factory or not, that I can think of. It's about the only thing Known that's all pretty standard feature-wise. I'd like to hear yours if you have any.
Pete M
in my old 85.5 Escort you pulled the stalk towards you for washer fluid and click it up for wipers. they were completely separate functions. this allowed you to soak the salt/ice/bug covered windshield til your heart's content before ever engaging the wipers. Eagle_SX4
The one thing that bugs me about the Comanche is that you can't turn off the HVAC fan without shutting the vents. My Eagle has the same layout for the HVAC controls but the fan will shut off with out shutting the vents. Sometimes I just want the vents open with the fan off. Ωhm
The ‘Bulb Check’ circuit used for Engine Coolant. Without gauge (bulb only), the bulb will light when engine is in CRANK, with gauge, gauge will peg (HOT) when engine is in CRANK.

Yes, I remember that feature in past vehicles. Was actually a great thing. If you found you didn't have fluid left in the reservoir, then you didn't have to drag your wipers across the windshield without the lubrication from the fluid, avoiding unnecessary surface wear or scratches. Are you talking about, with the HVAC set to OFF, there will still be air coming out of the vents (especially moving highway speed)? I can even control the temperature of the vent air with the slider even with the fan not blowing/set to vent.

When I put a new blower motor resistor in, the lowest fan speed setting became just fan off and it lets the forced air blow through. The original blower motor resistor actually ran the fan. pizzaman09
My 99 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight had double sun visors, if you flipped down the main one and rotated it to cover the door window, there was a second smaller one that could be flipped down for the front windshield. It was awesome for those drives on a road where the sun was at the a pillar and the road twisted left and right always changing which window the visor needed to cover. This feature was on both the drivers and passengers sun visors, every car should have it.

Spinnakerblue89
Can confirm, I've driven other vehicles that have had the double sun visor. But I can't be 100% certain which ones they were. I feel one of them was the Navigator.
