89 MJ Posted Monday at 01:55 AM Share Posted Monday at 01:55 AM August 2025 - A Supercharged Rebuild Owned by @70barracuda Build Thread- Year/Model - 1988 pioneer originally 2.5 4 speed dana 35 Drivetrain- Cammed LQ4 6.0 with LSA supercharger, Tremec TKX 5 speed transmission, Chrysler 8.25 with posi (soon to be a Ford 9 inch) Cooling- 'Chevy' 22 inch radiator with a 16 inch SPAL fan Electrical/Ignition- Factory harness for lights, holley terminator for engine management, custom fuse and relay center for all accessories. Battery relocated to bed. Suspension/Steering- Lowered around 2 inches in the front, 4 ish inches in the back. Front is cut down XJ lift springs, adjustable control arms, currie steering, custom track bar. Rear is custom calvert racing mono leaf springs, calvert caltrack traction bars. Addco front sway bar, Chevy s10 rear sway bar. QA1 double adjustable shocks all around. Interior- Mostly stock almond (i think) interior swapped in from a donor. Holley 12 inch pro dash. Retro sound radio head unit with kicker speakers, kicker amp and kicker sub. Corbeau seats with brackets. Door panels fitted with same seat fabric. Brakes- Wilwood 4 piston brakes up front with 12 inch rotors. WJ booster and master upgrade. ZJ rear disc brake swap. Lighting- Holley retrobright LED headlights and LED marker/brake lights. Hella fog lights. Exterior- Pretty much stock exterior. Clear coated original paint. OGR front bumper. 21 slot grill. Rear window louvers. Tonneau cover. Dakota roll pan rear bumper. Dual exhaust with tips. NOS bug shield. Wheel & Tires- 20 inch Detroit steel wheels, custom powder coat, original 60s jeep dog dish hub caps. Firestone indy 500 tires. Misc- Got into an accident last November and had to rebuild the entire front end. Figured it was as good enough time as any to do the 2nd LS swap and all the extras. Best MJ story- Going to the all breeds jeep show for the first time and connecting with a ton of people from this club and hanging out all night with everyone. CC is Awesome! Why? Just the whole community aspect and people willing to help out or just chat. Running into someone from the club out in the wild and chatting like we've been friends for a while. For some of our more... seasoned members, yes, this truck has been MJOTM before. This truck has gone through tons of changes since then, between the repairs and the upgrades.
