Oizarod115
lift laws? bumpers? what? haha, silly northerners. if we have license, registration, and tags. (sometimes emissions) we're good to go... although your truck DOES have to have cat and muffler or you will get a ticket.

DirtyComanche
I'd probably have waited to burn on the perches/mounts before paint  But then, I can't talk, I didn't even paint my front D44 when I put it in. I was all pissed off and in a hurry so it just didn't get done.

DirtyComanche
That's how you get tough feet. And those tires are going to stick out like mad! But, as long as that's not illegal it's a decent thing.
88swampedmj
well haha those arent my feet but i too was bare foot.. and yea i hope these tires stick out.. i don't like tall and skinny
88swampedmj
i havent got much progress i just sold a car so now i have a little more money for the truck.. i was thinking for the front leaf conversion i wanna use these cj shackle hangers... then ill prolly use these yj "bone" shackles ill be using stock waggy leafs the shackles and hangars will work right? DirtyComanche
They will, I'd think. As long as they're for 2.5" wide springs. It's locating the hangers that's the hard part.
88swampedmj
yea i was thinkin i may put a peice of steel under the front of the "frame" to strengthen it
JeepcoMJ
and you will need to reinforce the rear locating spot...bolting it into the LCA bracket isn't gonna cut it, not without beefing it up.
88swampedmj
well i spoke with brettm, he told me that xjs would need reinforcing but comanches are just fine as is. ill try it out...
JeepcoMJ
well i spoke with brettm, he told me that xjs would need reinforcing but comanches are just fine as is. ill try it out... that makes ZERO sense. MJ's are identical to XJ's from the front seats forwards with the exception of the rear wire harness and some trim panels. fyi, this is info for everyone a fact about comanches is that the limited production of them is brought on by two facts. A the dodge dakota was pushed to sell more by chrysler, and B comanches were produced on cherokee assembly lines in tangem to cherokees. there was some retooling required, but the production of xj's was so high and so was demand, that the comanche was put on the back burner. I sure wish there were more MJ parts out there, BUT I am perfectly happy with the limited quantity of them...that's part of what adds the character and intrigue. 88swampedmj
hmm guess that makes since... he told me though they were a little more reinforced.. ill look at it though and see my brother in law has a xj and i have my mjs...
UNL1MTD
XJ Mount MJ Mount actually the lower control arm mounts are different between XJs and MJs. MJs got a little bit of beef to them. Pics stolen from 'Project' threads.
