Comanche SS
Some of my goodies arrived, also have an NP242 Shifter assembly en route. These are pretty dirty. But will clean up nicely. The ECU is a 2000/2001 model for compatibility with LS Tach/Oil Pressure/ECT
ghetdjc320
Looking good. So is the 2000 & 2001 ecu compatible with stock LS sensor ranges?

Not entirely, you use the Jeep Oil PSI and ECT sensors on the LS block...and the tach is a funky one. You have to convert the GM Tach output (with a tuner) range to work with Jeep ranges, then you splice the 97+ XJ Cam/Crank signal wires to the GM tach output wire and it works seamlessly without an emulator...Only the 2000/2001 ECU's do this, as the C.O.P. ECU's work a little different than distro ECU's. Worth noting, for reference if this ever gets researched: 2000/2001 ECU's use a 3-wire ECT, if using a 1999 and down harness (Like mine) you have to run a +5V reference for the 3 Wire ECT. The 2000/2001 ECU does not work with the earlier 2-wire ECT.
Comanche SS
Been slow the past week. Have friends in town, but I have been prepping the axles to go under the truck so that I can work on it in a less sketchy way. Ordered up all new bushings, links, components for steering, suspension, brakes, sway bars, etc. Should all be here in the coming days. Rear axle is stripped down and getting cleaned, prepped for new perches and new brakes. Front axle is getting cleaned and prepped for new upper control arm bracket removal/modification. Took an hour to update the list, looking like itll be over 5k at this point, hoping to be under 6k. But still not bad!
Comanche SS
Been busy with family and friends, but managed to get a couple hours in this morning. Rear XJ 8.25 cleaned, painted, new seals. Got the KJ disc brakes mocked up on there just for the visual satisfaction, but gotta pull it all apart again when I weld in the new perches, which I need fresh welding gas for. Rogers Welding Supply (479) 621-8232 Much better to deal with than airgas.

I got a place local to me that is open 7 days a week 10 mins from my house, for fair price, I was with airgas until I found this place LOL Thanks for the suggestion though! Comanche SS
In for mockup, mostly needed it there so I could have the jack stands somewhere safer while I work on and under the jeep, but looking great! Will need to come back out to weld in the perches whenever I figure out pinion angle.
Comanche SS
In the name of going fast, being stable, and looking good. Cut the driver side mount off entirely. This will hopefully enable lowering the truck a little bit, and help with clearance around driveshaft, and driver side exhaust clearance. Passenger side will be chopped and lowered as much as possible.

Comanche SS
3 minutes ago, ghetdjc320 said: So is this going to be a 3 link? Yes, my crawler XJ is a 3 link and it does fine. But with this being geared towards handling moreso than the crawler is, I may change it once I drive it and assess how I like the handling. I am thinking if I don't like it, I can always make a "offset Y-link" utilizing the passenger side frame control arm mount, "y"ing to two spots on the axle as upper mounts. That's the idea if needed at least.

Comanche SS
Got sidetracked buying a boat for the summer... But managed to strip my parts XJ down to just a shell, and started cutting it up to get the MJ done. Working on rockers currently.
