If you see some things you want and can’t get them I can go grab them and sell them to you if they are still there, like the beadliner, rear window, bench seat, carpet, etc. I did grab the rear fender flares, clock, and B-pillar bezels+ vents and plan to sell them. Also, there was an Olympic sticker above the Comanche badge. Did someone add that or is this an Olympic edition?3CC818A3-EC2A-4E90-B8DF-E589A5FC16B6.jpeg.965f5a74a6b96a648eb1d2f465c74c8f.jpeg

To answer your question Warren99, I have an Olympic edition one, so I found old factory brochures on them and they said all the Olympic editions came with US Olympic decals and gold tape striping, mine has the gold strip even though heavily faded on mine you still should see it on that one, I don’t see it from pictures u sent so I would say no Olympic edition, but maybe someone knows if the bed liner  has the Comanche name stamped in it is that factory

I can certainly re-make the fender decal, however I don't know if I've ever actually seen that before.  I wonder if it's an extra decal that someone just slapped on?  I have the rear window decals available--DM me for details.

@Bezerk1 -- Can you do a better picture/scan of the Olympic brochures?  Those are pretty cool.

From what I’ve seen, only the Olympic edition Pioneers had the Pioneer emblem, all others had the Pioneer stripes which would make this an Olympic if the emblems are original.

@boxyjeep those are the OEM Olympic decals that accompany the gold Olympic stripe on the ‘88 Olympic Pioneers.

What a shame, probably my favorite color offered, and with low miles and being a 2wd that body is probably damn near perfect, such a shame what people throw away these days

The truck was resprayed hence the discussion. People either seemed to hate or love the graphics. Those that hate them often remove them. I have a lwb Olympic pioneer, have extra panels, have seen multiple different Olympic mjs and xjs, and can concur those are definitely the correct graphics. You can clearly see the original faded paint where the sticker was missing on the fender. It was masked for an overspray paint job. The current paint wouldn't match the vin code. I've never seen an xj or mj blue Olympic pioneer exterior that didn't have the navy blue 88 interior. I still question any xj or mj that isn't an 88 or early 89 with navy blue interior to be original. Navy blue is far more rare than black. Too bad we'll most likely never have complete recorded proof. I'll buy the window crank handles if you go back. A friend of mine is looking for some. I can't tell from the picture if the steering wheel is navy blue on the wheel. If so, I'd probably buy that too along with the horn button if it's still there which I think I saw in a pic posted. That xj might have some extremely hard to find interior as well. I'm very curious about it's interior. I'm guessing there might be far more demand for it depending on what it has. Regardless, nice find and looking like you had a good day.

Front license plate mount on the XJ is worth a snag too. Those sell very quick to any XJ and MJ person.

Wouldn’t have expected that. I went today so I’ll have to grab that whenever I go back. How much would ppl usually pay for those?

I grabbed the side moulding. As said before all were there except the one on the driver side bed behind the cab. What’s a shame is there’s a decent dent there, so there’s a chance it was popped off by the wheel loader guy when they were moving the truck around the yard.

I also got the top plastic steps, and lights from the rear bumper. I didn’t bother with the end caps bc the nuts were rusty and wanting to round off. I also got the rear window and rain gutters. I thought abt getting the bedliner but I personally don’t think I’d ever use it, and it did have some screw holes on the top. Interestingly this truck used to have a bed cover. But anyways if someone wants that bedliner I’ll go get it for you, I just can’t seem to justify having it sit around.F9D6CF04-6627-437F-B127-4032309DFDF1.jpeg.ddc41d0a52d89f6a2228a6a123f20acd.jpeg77FC722E-DC22-4552-BBF9-0B26DCE4456F.jpeg.a4ad7b214a2915163ab52373aa7af013.jpeg

Are there two different kinds of blue interiors, or just all Navy? The wheel didn’t look that bad, but I didn’t have a puller.

The XJ was very nasty, but some pieces could def be used for someone that needs them.FD7A8919-CA80-4E31-BF3C-75B8B1E482A4.jpeg.71adf5c5a2c91f70d9061a18d8c28e39.jpegAA17AB7E-AD95-4F60-9E11-339F2A564FCB.jpeg.8ed109788031319c00b4c270d5ed1f1c.jpeg3BBE2668-66B6-48A4-9DD9-5BC2E8119041.jpeg.c760927580f2b937e9fda53c371373c1.jpeg117CCFC3-E290-4BCB-B88E-12EAAE7BBB0B.jpeg.75dd425356251c72354b9f6dd2b5d093.jpeg791228B0-CB3D-4CB6-89F8-CDE665A14C00.jpeg.27745c3176cfb5271ca367dda9fb1a7b.jpegD2154A9F-3A69-41C6-BD50-BDD89AE5AEEC.jpeg.2c242615fe497376f78f06feb7fcf9f3.jpegCC12BFE9-03FF-4437-B833-F7566538C5CC.jpeg.4c064fdd59d3e4627cb2ed1dc871692e.jpegFABE3294-6329-43DA-9AEF-2537E91F94F9.jpeg.b87be45565e19c77b62621a33fc16fd5.jpeg59CC60A0-8555-4BDF-9EF1-7221A7A9F1FE.jpeg.052c387dc3b41543a3d70b53bbd06cfe.jpeg

Yes there is navy and baby blue. Baby blue from what I can tell was primarily found in really early 87 down MJ and XJ. That xj interior might be nasty but will clean up much easier than you think. The AMC seat belt female latches are all definitely worth grabbing if not broke. The AMC part can be carefully removed to replace broken ones on any other color AMC buckle. If it goes together, it comes apart. So any good AMC female buckle of any color grab. Back seat ones first since they are usually in the best shape. If the front buckets are not torn, they might be gold to the right person. That's pretty much the case with anything AMC. Someone is definitely looking for it, it's just a matter of posting it available to the right group or forum for them to see it. That knee board and dash, if crack free intact, some may give their left nut for. Any dash not cracked any more is really worth pulling since they could be painted worst case scenario. Getting them shipped undamaged is expensive though. That tire cover might be worth grabbing and look for any rear cargo cover and or hardware as well in the back of that xj. Manual window regulators sell quick and that xj had them as well as vent windows. If you do the regulators, it would be foolish not to get the vent windows. Bring drill bits or a cordless grinder if you have one for the xj and mj regulators. Somewhere around 92 or 93 down the regulators were steel riveted in. I bet you'd sell the back xj regulators too. I was always shocked how quickly I sold them if I bothered to list them. The badges on the xj probably are stainless steel too. So they are much better quality and sought after. They may have studs that actually go through into the body panels. Be careful to use a knife to wiggle with lots of patience. I typically have them come out without any residual retaining washer left on the back side to worry about. I primarily have found mine in or near the rust belt. So tread lightly, the 84 and 85s usually always have a retainer that has a solid hold in good American steel before that Chinese $#!& slowly made its way in. Even in the rust belt you'll note seeing the 86 down always seem to have way less rust in MJ and XJ. Also you might want to grab the entire steering wheel columns especially if they have original AMC key sets complete, tilt, cruise, intermittent wiper functions, and door lock sets. I'd also dig around good for the mj spare tire jack, clip, and tool kit behind and under that bench seat. Any knee board(lower dash) not cracked will most likely sell fairly quick. Especially if it has moveable nut vent and tweeter mounts. I'd still grab the fuel sending unit to the MJ probably and possibly the xj depending on what the yard charges a piece. Sometimes it's far less without the pump so it could quickly be worthwhile even more so then. I've even just grabbed potentiometers with float arms on renix MJ and xj with yards giving them to me clueless. I have rebuilt other hanger assemblies that weren't rusted through but had a worn potentimeter. It's also a good thing to have a spare of in the garage if you own a renix.

Those "4 wheel drive" nameplates (55005317) on the rear quarter are a rare part.  Later ones were "4x4", then around 93 they became just a sticker.

Hard to tell from the lighting, are the spokes on the steering wheel black? Or bare stainless?

Black spokes was an early rare option.  Either way, leather covered steering wheels are always worth grabbing if the leather is in good shape.
